i'm gonna be real i don't think there's a single ffxiv antagonist i've encountered so far who was right, or there is i certainly cannot think of them. after careful pondering it's like. honestly i barely want to consider ysayle an antagonist because it was so very short-lived, she had good intentions from the start & iirc a lot of what went wrong wasn't her doing specifically & she clearly feels guilty for it. i would not afford any other antagonist this because they are, in fact, actual antagonists who do wish for destruction or whatever it is that they cause. your starting point can be as laudable as possible if you descend into unforgivable deeds it doesn't change anything of what you've done. these people are still dead. these horrors have still been committed. i adore fordola, she's just a kid & life is a nightmare, & i am glad she is given the second chance she's given, but she was an antagonist & she was wrong. many such cases & denying it will not do anyone's reading comprehension any good

#ffposting #anyway. that being said. fordola get behind me #it's crazy because people will afford the antagonists more lenience than nanamo & raubahn. it's so dark in here.#nanamo was put on the throne at 5 after the likely assassination of her parents by the people she's forced to work with #& who ended up making her a puppet. is she to be blamed for her incompetence when all her life has been just this?#& raubahn. what was he alone supposed to do against the monetarists?? he an ala mhigan man in ul'dah?#nanamo tried to do something & teledji tried to kill her for it. like. you people think politics are so easy.#& much as i am an anarchist i am getting so fucking pissed off at people wanting to be radicals in situations in which it wouldn't do shit #type of people who want folks to 'just start a revolution' but do absolutely NOTHING in the way of societal progress istg #this one applies less to america because your voting system scares me & truthfully i have no answers for it #but. type of people who don't vote & think it's 'really showing them' but all it does is let fascists get presidency again & again #we literally have actual communists & anarchists running for presidency but sure whatever. you're showing them.#sorry i haven't gotten pissed at people's opinions AND politics in a while. basically nanamo raubahn get behind me. with fordola.#if this lands in the search tags i will have to kill myself but whatever.
