lowkey wish i had the power and know how to start a counter beauty movement where whichever body part/formation the think tank has decided is bad this month is what we spitefully exemplify as much as possible just to fuck with that mindset like idk everyone starts posting their favorite celebrity hip-dips and talking about how great buccal fat/round faces are or something, not to uplift these traits above others but rather to be a counter voice to diet/beauty culture rhetoric that pervades tiktok etc so idk if you wanna get in on this lets do it, together we can take down harmful industries maybe??

#but also there needs to be space and time to talk about who what where and why are coming up with these things #we need to talk about the insidiousness of planted marketing like this in tiktokers talking about how bad fat faces are now or w/e #like everyone is pointing out the buccal fat thing literally came out of nowhere #or did it?#i mean it'd be to the advantage of people who profit off of these things to continue planting new body issues right?#we also need to talk about the inherent ableism in the whole concept #also racism bc usually the traits we choose to exemplify are anglo but im not as qualified to speak on that
