while i do appreciate the tiktok/reddit/twitter immigration jokes to a point it is mildly concerning when it starts to resemble real world anti-immigration rhetoric

#or maybe I have consumed an excess of the devils lettuce #either away it gives me the same annoyed feeling as when Oregonians make hating Californian transplants their personality #we’re all in the same boat of being priced out of our shitty local economy and looking for relief #oh my god is tumblr like rural internet now?#are we resentful of the city folk who move out to the booneys to escape all the traffic and stupid modern problems?#we’re all just afraid that the twitterers and tiktokers will bring their blue check marks and unavoidable/obnoxious ads?#you know what it’s too late for this shit I’m going back to animal crossing
