Since I'm not going to be able to finish this good 'ol drabble today, and because I want to hold myself accountable and fully finish this thing, here is a quick little sneak peek at the setting! ...And maybe an interesting little plot point too? 👀

The lights flipped on without warning, sending a blinding jolt to her (Jacky's) senses. She blinked rapidly and squinted as her eyes adjusted to the fluorescent lighting.

Looking around, she found that the room they were in was mostly-- almost overwhelmingly-- white. It was clean. Sterile. Practically everything reflected the light, making things look brighter than they actually were.

The three of them had been lined up in a row (bound to chairs), on a slightly elevated platform that was only a small step up off of the ground. In front of each of them was a solid metal square, secured flush with the floor.

Jacky heard a familiar sounding groan, and looked up to the silhouette she saw before. She gasped when she saw the young man sitting before them, securely strapped into a chair that was bolted to the floor.

As much as Jacky desperately hoped otherwise, deep down she knew exactly who he was...

"...Kage?"
