I met a homeless man and his BFF, Star, a pit bull mix, to say I was blown away with his "out of the box thinking", would be an understatement. . You see, he used a bandana, cut it into small pieces, and used garage bag ties to secure the pieces for her paws. . I looked down at Star and noticed her paws. . I knelt down on the ground to Star's level, waited for her to accept me petting her, when she did, I was able to check the ties. . They were not too tight that would inhibit blood flow. I looked up at him and said, "this is such a great idea to use a bandana" . He simply replied in the most humble answer, "I do not like to walk on the hot pavement, I am not going to have her do that. I can't afford the stuff in pet stores so I used a bandana I had." . Be still my heart! Brilliant, kind, compassionate, thoughtful and so much more in two sentence. . I think, no, I know, I just gained an incredible learning experience from him and Star. .
