Week of Demise 2025: Interest/Availability Check

guess who's back after 4 years. That's right.

(feel free to share the infographic around) SHUUEN ART WEEK IS BACK!!! and better than ever! It has a webpage now for updates!

more importantly though, a Google Form just opened up to check interest/availability dates for the Week of Demise this summer! It will close on May 16th. Please fill it out / share it around so I can decide when to hold the art week!

Week of Demise 2021 (Jun 20 - Jun 26)

Information:

- This is an art week! All forms of art are welcome including but not limited to writing, visual art, etc. anyone is free to join!

- You may choose one or more of the four presented prompts per day! How your interpret these prompts is entirely up to you.

- Ships and pairings are OK, but no NSFW is allowed. Blood / gore is OK. No ships that depicted pedophilia or incest are allowed either.

- You can post your work to any platform, but be sure to use the tag #weekofdemise if you want it to be discovered!

As promised, I am releasing the 2021 Week of Demise prompt list! The art week will be held from June 20th to June 26th. The prompt list, as always, has been released early to allow for planning in advance.

The first two prompts of each day are "single-word" prompts, and the last two prompts are "AU / Other" prompts!

“You’re too late, B-ko!” D-ne giggled, tugging on the red ribbon wrapped around her neck. “I... I’ve already...”

“There’s still a chance. You can still go back.” B-ko murmured, all too aware of the same red ribbon connecting to her own magic wand. “D-ne—please! Don’t do this. We can still be together without this.”

“That’s what you don’t understand, B-kooo...” Drawing out the syllables, D-ne’s smile turned wicked, eyes wide open with despair. “I don’t want to be with you. Even if it means becoming a doll, I’ll do whatever it takes to be you!”

Week of Demise 2025: July 20th - July 26th

The Week of Demise availability survey has ended! This year, 16 out of 24 votes voted for the art week to be held from July 20th - July 26th.

You're getting the prompt list quite early! i.e. a whopping two months to prepare. This year, you may pick from a selection of 24 one-word prompts (4 per day) to create artwork (of any medium; writing, drawing, etc.) based on. You are free to interpret these however you want (that's the fun of it), and pick more than one prompt per day or even combine prompts for a day if you so desire!

For Tumblr, post your artwork to the tag #week of demise or #weekofdemise. On other platforms, you may use the equivalent #weekofdemise tag. If posting to AO3, you may post to the collection weekofdemise.

Week of Demise 2020 - Announcement

Hello! Not many people know me here, but my name is Annte, a very passionate albeit new Shuuen fan who organized the Week of Demise with the help of the Shuuenpro discord which also happens to be created by yours truly last June! I promoted the art week on both Twitter and Instagram, and being too inexperienced with Tumblr, allowed feya (@houfukuseisaku) to post it here!

But this year, I am more confident (I think)! So let’s get straight to the point!

General Information

The Week of Demise is an art week! All forms of art are welcome (doesn’t have to be just visual art), and  anyone is free to join!

You’re free to choose one (or multiple) of the four presented prompts per day. How you interpret these prompts is entirely up to you.

You can post your work to any platform, but please use the tag #weekofdemise if you want people to discover it! (Personally, I’ll be looking at mainly Twitter, Tumblr, AO3, and Instagram for works.)

Bonus:  I made a Twitter account to make announcements and retweet works under the tag, so please follow that account if you want to stay up to date.

Week of Demise 2020 ( July 5th - July 11th ) Prompts

This year, you’ll be given a choice between a total of four prompts a day: 2 single-word prompts, 1 AU prompt, and 1 song prompt. You can combine multiple prompts into one if you’d like!
