I commented something the other day about those little thigh-tie strings for gun belts, and it ended up kicking off a week-long hyperfixation which I’ve decided to commemorate.
SO, here are some highlights of western!De’s thighs wearing the little cowboy garter belt. Please enjoy. 🤠 (There are probably others; please feel free to add if you’re as normal about this as I am.)
Typical Western-town tired of thugs, hires gunman to come in and protect them. Some townsfolk have connections to said gunman. Other unsavory people run the town. De's a henchman for the unsavory saloon owner. Not as smart alacky as Curly in Warlock. (BTW Waco is the name of the gunslinger, has nothing to do with Waco, Texas).
But wow is De hanging here like a champ. I'm sure there was a mat below but it still takes guts to do it. He's really swinging around trusting the actor (Waco) to hold him.
S4 E6 — McCoy draws a hard line on heckling and hoglegs in sickbay.

If anyone has a crossover idea they'd like to see, send me an ask or comment. The source material is super limited, so no promises, but I'll certainly try!
A great publicity photo of De from the 1956 western Tension at Table Rock.
De has less than 10 minutes of screen time in this movie, playing a gunslinger who’s hired to kill his old friend— the hero of the movie. You can imagine how this ends for De’s character.
Lucky Bud, who received this autographed photo of De that reads “ To Bud— with every good wish to you— DeForest Kelley”
Welp, I did it. I bought a copy of this white De Kelley whale (of questionable quality) on eBay, screen-recorded it (with even more questionable quality), and uploaded it to Google Drive. So now hopefully none of my fellow Bones thirsters need to buy 71 episodes of this crap to see it.
Btw, here are a couple of screen grabs. As you can see, it’s a great pity this isn’t better resolution/in color. De is basically Toby Jack Saunders if Toby Jack were married and dressed like that slutty cowboy from Death Valley Days. 🤤
Video of De's parts, because honestly this episode just isn't that good. But De's great in it. You can find the whole episode on joshwhotv...but the site does look a bit sketchy although I didn't have any issues.
Best part is the YOU CAN'T STOP ME HEAR!
Story below the video.
A thimblerigger shows up town saying he's come to destroy the man that gave his wife to a highwayman in order to save his own skin. He tells the town that the pea will show up only for this cowardly man. Everyone in town lines up to prove their innocence. Those that haven't lined up are basically dragged into the saloon to prove their innocence. One guy gets it in his head that they'll hang this cowardly man once he's revealed. Sam (De) doesn't want to play, and Troop prevents the gang from dragging Sam to the saloon, but Sam is furious with him for contributing to the general feeling that he’s the coward. Sam finally takes his turn, warning Troop off with, "I got a chance with him; I got no chance with them." He gets the pea, and when he asks the Thimblerigger “who are you?” the Thimblerigger turns out to be the highwayman. Sam shoots him; Troop jumps Sam and they cart him off to jail. Dying, the Thimblerigger explains that Sam’s bride stayed with him all those years, and turned his life around, but she was always in love with Sam, which is why he hated him so much. All the drama was because he didn’t know what the guy looked like, but believed he would recognize “the terror in his eyes.” At the very end, it's revealed every shell had a pea in it.
