After Blues Fest Party

Have to work past 10 PM tonight and bummed you missed today's Blues Fest?  Not finished partying and jamming out when the Hagerstown City Police kick you out of the Blues Fest venue?  The Hagerstownian has solutions for you!

If you are ready to rage all night, I have two recommendations for you:

Walk a few blocks and bar hop between the Broad Axe, 28 South, and Bulls and Bears.  

OR

Grab a taxi (since the cops are everywhere!!!) and drive towards North Hagerstown to Hempen Hill BBQ.

The Broad Axe, located on 28 West Franklin Street, is only two blocks from the Blues Fest venue.  Their after party is called "Stack O' Blues," and will be starting at 9:30 PM.  They promise an encore of the area's best  bands to wrap up the Blues Fever, and I would not be surprised if the local town celebrity Pete Lancaster will jam out til the early hours of the morning.  For more information, join their Facebook event!

28 South, located conveniently at 28 South Potomac Street across from the Maryland Theatre, is one of the newest restaurants in Hagerstown.  For the Blues Fest, they have tapped the Oscar Blues, Dales Pale Ale, and the North Coast Blue Star Unfiltered Wheat Beer so that you can beat the heat! Last night, the local band Mightychondria played and many are hopeful that they will play again tonight.  It is a great place to get dinner and sit outside and still hear the music from the Blue's Fest.

Bulls and Bears Pub and Eatery is separated only by an alleyway from 28 South, so it is easy to bar hop back and forth!  Bulls and Bears' drink specials include $3.00 Flying Dog IPAs.  The Gist of It played live music last night with an expected encore tonight.  They have a great outdoor patio seating as well.

Although these are great restaurants and bars downtown, I'm telling you now... GRAB A TAXI AND GO TO HEMPEN HILL BBQ!!!!!

  HHBBQ is located in the Fountain Head Plaza in North Hagerstown next to Ruff's Fitness and King's New York Pizza.  This barbecue joint has become the rising star of Hagerstown not only for its delectable food but also for its beer and music selection.  Tonight starting at 9 PM, their "Bluesfest Jam" blasts off with Rudy & The Bluefish.  There is not a cover charge, but space is limited so I would get in early!

Food service ends at 10 PM (get the smoked MAC n CHEESE!), but be sure to watch out for their Food Truck at the Blues Fest!  The bar closes at 2 AM.

Everyone be careful tonight as the Hagerstown City Police are everywhere, so get a $5 taxi for anywhere in the Hagerstown city limits by Downtown Taxi at 240-625-9920.
