AP Takes a Step Forward: The State-of-the-Art Mega Seed Park To Revolutionize Agriculture

Under the leadership of Former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the State government of Andhra Pradesh is taking innovative steps to enhance the agricultural sector in the state. Nara Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation stone for the seed park on October 9th, 2022. The seed park, which spans an area of 650 acres, will receive ₹190 crores in the first phase of the next budget. The objective of the seed park is to produce qualitative seed, which will help farmers avoid losses due to spurious seeds and pesticides. This is a much-needed step, given that the farmers in the state have been struggling with the issue of fake seeds and pesticides for a long time. Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, during a recent review meeting in the Collectorate conference hall, stated that the seed park would not only help farmers but also create job opportunities in the area. The state government has asked the District Collector S. Satyanarayana to forward proposals for laying a 220 kv electrical line and the construction of a processing unit, laboratory, administrative building, compound wall, water, and internal roads in the seed park.

AP Fiber grid - From the Vision of   Nara Chandrababu Naidu

AP Fiber grid is a prestigious project initiated by the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh 

Shri. Nara Chandrababu Naidu to give high-speed internet at as low as 149 rupees per month. In India, Andhra Pradesh is the first state to launch this kind of project.

The Andhra Pradesh State FiberNet Limited(APSFL), project was launched in 2015. The vision of the AP Fibre Grid project is to establish a highly scalable network infrastructure, accessible on a non-discriminatory basis, to provide on-demand, affordable and end-to-end broadband connectivity of 15 Mbps for all households and 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps for institutions & Businesses, to enable the realization of the Vision of Digital AP, in partnership with the Government of India and the private sector.

In the view of huge costs/timelines involved in the BharatNet program of the Government of India, Andhra Pradesh Government pioneered the aerial route of Optical Fiber on its own to realize the dream of Digital AP. The government has already provided TV channels, mobile and internet services to remote villages through this fiber grid system. There are 3060 villages in the state without mobile services which are also provided by AP Fiber Grid. Under the Andhra Pradesh Fiber Grid Project, 4.83 Lac wi-fi connections had already been provided to houses & institutions. Common Annual Training Calendar Publication By TDP

The 2016–17 Common Annual Training Calendar (CATC) was issued after being carefully prepared. The Transport Academy and Zonal Staff Training Colleges provide a variety of training programs, and information about each of them is included in the CATC, which is a comprehensive publication. It is a constructive manual for all Principals to plan and schedule the execution of training programs and for the Unit Officers to guide the applicants. At the Corporate level, in PNBS/Vijayawada, in-house training is provided. At the Zonal level, it is provided via Zonal Staff Training Colleges. The Zonal Staff Training Colleges teach lower level Supervisors, Mechanic Staff, Artisans, Ministerial Staff, and crew members, whilst the Transport Academy trains officers and frontline supervisors as well as specific categories like Regional Core Group Supervisor and Millwright mechanic, etc. At the depot level, local officers and officers from OEMs regularly conduct training programs for the crew and mechanical personnel. The Zonal staff training colleges are being taken care of by the Great TDP Leaders and some of the TDP MLAs.

Training through outside agencies:
