Do you ever see someone have a take about a story that is like... not unfitting for it, not a bad take, not missing the point, exactly, but it is the most boring thing you could do with the source material ever?

#not gonna tag the source material so as to not start shit #dont worry besties it is no one I follow #but by GOD some people really do say #'What if we take the thing that makes this story special and make it boring and like everything else instead?'#but like. they were also complaining the series is too long.#when clearly it needed another 500 pages and a spinoff.#so clearly not a Real Fan.
