health insurance is such bs. and so are pharmaceutical companies. I got a letter today from my health insurance telling me it'll no longer cover the current long-term insulin I'm on (tresiba) because it's more expensive and I'll have to go back to an older type (lantus, which is less effective) unless my doctor gets a prior authorization.

I hate this country

#being diabetic isn't even that bad. the worst part is the fucking insurance companies!!!#i had trouble with tresiba on my parent's insurance too. it was costing $900 for a 3 month supply WITH INSURANCE #it's cheaper on this plan but fucking hell #im sure my doctor can do the prior authorization thing she wants me to be on this #i was on lantus for a long time but it's not as effective as the newer insulin #ugghfhfhs i was already in a bad mood #when i got home from the store my dad yelled at me cuz noodle was barking #so I used my anger to clean out the fridge. now im just tired.#i hate it here so much #ari speaks #I've been diabetic since i was 9 yrs old you'd think it would've gotten better over time but no
