#when i was younger i thought aces/aros shouldn't be part of the queer community bc they 'weren't opressed'#(ignoring the fact that they are actually oppressed for a sec)#what changed my mind was when my friend asked#who said you need to be opressed to join the queer community?#i've been thinking about that a lot#t//rfs often say trans women aren't women bc they 'aren't oppressed by the patriarchy'#which practically means women are defined by the patriarchy#and ppl say that trans men aren't oppressed enough to deserve recognition in our struggles#aaaaaagh#chirping#hopefully this makes sense#it might sound like i'm taking some jumps here#there's more i just don't have the energy to fill in most of the dots#if this doesn't make sense then pls ask for clarification (kindly) in the replies !#i'm more than happy to explain my point :o)#(/gen btw)
