cant get behind mutual thrushblue not for any disdain for thrushpelt but it gets on my nerves when a guy's romantic advances towards a girl he likes are rejected/not reciprocated in canon and then in a weirdly gendered way everybody goes "aw but he's nice :( so here's my au where she does like him back" bitch what's even the point then!!

#it's giving people who hate the ending cutscene of super mario odyssey because 'mario deserves peach after all his hard work'#effort and kindness do not make someone entitled to romantic reciprocation and idk why you are incapable of applying that to like.#straightforward children's media where the characters continue to be friends afterwards (or even put it off till later) LOL #not to be mean bc thrushpelt's ok but isnt being bare minimum chill post-rejection like his whole thing. what's the point of erasing that #i kind of just hate the implication of a wife as a reward basically #which is kind of unavoidable with thrushblue because that's the whole reason people ship them #it's very much more about thrushpelt's happiness than it is bluefur's #wc talking
