#probably filed under 'reasons I am the anticapitalist I am today' lmfao#I actually have meg cabot's signature on my high school writing binder. she was super lovely when I met her#I remember her writing a very lovely little note too. I think the reason there are a bunch of uplifting notes there are cuz she started it#and any other writer I met was like 'oh this kid wants to write i better give a little word of wisdom'#(my mother used to take us to the la times festival of books every year so I met quite a few of them)#I think the most memorable of them was when I met jeffrey cranor and joseph fink tho.#whoever signed first wrote 'write dangerous things' and the other looked at it and promptly added 'write safe things' lmfao#which is my fave. iconic.
