#which is obi-wan's attention 95% of the time

How did I miss the archivist padawan post??? I love it so much!! I want to see what sort of ill-fated groveling Obi-Wan resorts to before realizing he gets account access back automatically. And how long it takes for Anakin to lock his account again just to make him talk to him again. And then they both get dragged in front of Yoda and Master Nu for "disrupting the archives" and "important research, ask Obi-Wan to do I did" and "impressionable younglings, there are. Get a room, you should"

theres definitely a moment where archivist padawan anakin definitely antagonizes obi-wan into snapping and saying that he's very much considering Falling and this time he gets it on camera/as a recording which he takes to the council because he is obviously a very concerned padawan who is very concerned with doing the right thing

and he suggests that maybe if knight kenobi must continue to do this very important dark side research, anakin should be there to supervise him....for safety and stuff..... (anakin's suggesting this with his hands behind his back, rocking on his heels, blinking big blue innocent eyes up at the council)

that way obi-wan can't stop talking to him even when he gets his systems access back lol

Well now I'm thinking about Anakin and Obi-Wan as Jedi who hate each other until one of them gets hurt and the other one is like !!!!!!! Not him!!!

Okay the more I wrote that sentence the more I started thinking about an actual scenario for this in which Obi-Wan is normal Obi-Wan except he didn't train Anakin and so thinks Anakin is childish and annoying, and Anakin thinks Obi-Wan is stuck up and a jerk. And because Anakin's only real friend in the order in normal Star Wars is Obi-Wan, this now means Anakin has no friends. Maybe Anakin was trained by Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan resented that?

But yeah Anakin had no friends growing up and he always secretly wanted to be friends with Obi-Wan but for some reason Obi-Wan Did Not Like Him. So now they've had this rivalry for years and Anakin makes sure to keep it up because now that they're on missions together all the time Obi-Wan is actually paying attention to him... and then Obi-Wan gets hurt, Anakin freaks out, and Obi-Wan is forced to reevaluate ten plus years of a rivalry he's kind of ashamed to realize was mostly his own fault.

Anakin making sure to be extra obnoxious around Obi-Wan because this is the only thing that keeps Obi-Wan’s attention on him,,,, this is exactly what I crave 

honestly I’m just so close to writing more about this AU because I love the idea that Anakin had a weird love/hate obsession with Obi-Wan growing up. He tried so hard to be friend with Qui-Gon’s (cooler) former padawan, but Obi-Wan wanted nothing to do with him and ignored him or straight-up told him to stop bothering him (I mean his master just ditched him for this weird kid, he just wanted to put the whole thing behind him and move on). And now he’s stuck between admiration and resentment, and it’s even worse once they start getting paired together because Obi-Wan is the coolest Jedi of the Order in his eyes, who can keep up with him and be as reckless as him sometimes, but he’s also the worst asshole alive who nags at him constantly and who once told him that even if spending time with him always feels like wasted time, at least Anakin’s stupidity is greatly entertaining. 

So Anakin is in a constant state of 'am I angry or horny’, unsure if he wants to kiss the bastard to shut him up or violently murder him 95% of the time. He can live with that, as long as Obi-Wan keeps thinking about him more than everyone else.

And the finale “then Obi-Wan gets hurt, Anakin freaks out” I.... am really trying not to write the whole scene right now
