#I am intrigued by what’s going on here#it seems that the division between Nabu and Kent is not always as clear cut as I thought it was#with ‘He? You mean me- I’m Dr. Fate!’#which would make sense considering how Nabu messes with Kent’s mind#notably in suppressing his grief for his father but here too in suppressing his reaction to his wife leaving#that line reads to me (with the knowledge that I had now) that either Kent is in denial about how much Nabu messes with his mind#or that it’s genuinely hard to internally separate them at times for Kent and that their identities can blur#because I’m not super familiar with the character I’m not sure how revolutionary Inza saying that Kent isn’t Dr. Fate is#maybe that’s standard maybe that was a new concept#I had been thinking of Dr. Fate as almost solely Nabu with Kent almost entirely repressed#and then Kent as mostly Kent with some influence from Nabu#also Inza’s life isolated in that weird tower seems legitimately horrible#dc#kent nelson#inza nelson#nabu#my posts#comic panels
