It's fine to like Haz/bin Hotel+Hell/uva Boss but for the love of god dont use either as an example of good storytelling or character development
#I think the best summary I've read is this: Vivziepop is a character designer at heart. not a storyteller#Hazbin's intro ruins its whole premise from the get-go#while HB forgets about the premise in order to recycle the same character dynamic (daddy issues) for every character but one#and uses trauma=character. the only character with a healthy background has no personality which is just lazy#the characters look sick as fuck if not overdesigned and the style is so fun but it lacks depth#I really like some of those designs#but as a writer I can't call either story compelling#breaking it up so it doesn't appear in search because i dont need to argue this with fans
