I need yall to hear me out on this one okay:

Yusuke is the token straight of the Phantom Thieves.

Stay with me here, Yusuke is a straight guy, he likes women, but he WISHES he was attracted to men SO BAD. Because he wants to understand the inherent attraction people who’re into men have SO MUCH. He wants to draw a man and know instinctually what’ll make him alluring! But he doesn’t and that tears him apart.
