Cracks knuckles... Alright then!! Everyone (and @that-weird-mime) prepare for INSANITY AND THEORIZING + RAMBLING UNDER THE CUT!!!!!!

Ok first things first:

This panel. It's SO FUNNY to me. Orion's smug ass smirk is hilarious, they truly are brothers. I can vouch, because I am an older sibling and I mess with my younger sib all the time. Also:

Starlo's hands shaking because Orion just SWUNG HIM BACKWARDS TO THE GROUND is a neat detail!! Bro's soul left his body for a second fr... Plus Orion just looks so nonchalant, he does NOT give a DAMN LMAOOOO.

Alright, here's where I begin to overanalyze and theorize. This is the first time we ever see Starlo interact with Solomon, and while it's just crumbs, it really makes the viewer want to know more. It also says a lot about their dynamic, in my opinion! Especially if you take into account the 'We Are Armed' doormat on the previous panel.

From what we know, Orion was the favored son in Solomon's eyes, and this comic also hints at that favoritism as well. We haven't really seen the way Solomon interacts with other members of his family, so I don't want to come into any conclusions yet, BUT I have two sneaking suspicions on how his character might end up being:

a). Someone who genuinely loves his family and only wants to keep them safe, through any means necessary. This is why there's a doormat that states that they're armed. This is why Solomon trained Orion to shoot a gun and (supposedly) enroll Orion into the royal guard. He just wants to protect his family, but this blindsides him and makes him accidentally neglect Starlo. His neglect to Starlo is purely accidental, and while not excusable, still gives him a reason.

OR b). Someone that still wants him and his family to be safe, BUT isn't afraid to lash out on his family should they ever get reckless and put the rest of his family in danger. Starlo is TENSE when he greets Solomon, and Solomon barely gives him any acknowledgement. Is Starlo scared of his dad? Why? Is it because he knows not to piss him off, or is it because he doesn't know how to interact with him due to the neglect? Idk how to word it, but I'm unsure if the way Starlo is reacting (tense and brief) because Solomon has went further than just neglecting him (i.e yelled or hit him), or because he's just uneasy around Solomon bcs while he HASN'T hurt Starlo, he still could.

I'm mostly basing these off of the fact that Orion is the family's Golden Child. Yes, I am going to use psychology terms for my character analysis. Anyways, a Golden Child is when a child is brought up favored by the rest of their family, and a lot of expectations are put on them. Expectations like... Protecting the family, mayhaps? Orion is the tallest (like, incredibly tall) and could arguably be the strongest out of the brothers. AND he's the oldest. Because of this, it's not hard to see that Solomon, once finding the gun (maybe he got it from waterfall?), decided to train Orion early on to be tough for the sake of extra protection. THEN, he also could've convinced Orion to join the Royal Guard to further give their family extra credit so less monsters would be willing to kill them off. This is Underfell Obsession after all, so maybe Solomon's Obsession would be keeping his family safe? Or would that be Orions?

Secondly, since Orion is the Golden Child, I wouldn't be surprised if this meant Starlo is his complete opposite: The Scapegoat. The Scapegoat is the black sheep of the family, while the Golden Child is heavily favored, The Scapegoat is blamed for anything that goes wrong in the family, even if it's not their fault. However, I do realize it might be too early to say this, since we only got like 1 (one) panel of Solomon. We don't know yet if all he does is neglect Starlo or there's more underneath the surface.

HOWEVER. I propose a theory...

Mimey has said that Starlo left at 19 in the tags of one of the posts in UFO's ask blog. He's currently 25, so it's been 6 years since then. It's also implied that the Feisty Five have ran away from their parents, and could get in trouble if they were caught by them...

Did Starlo run away? Has he done something, or something completely unrelated happened, that made Solomon snap at him? Was that the final straw that broke the camels back, and it made Starlo leave?

I can imagine that Starlo tried doing some western shenanigans that brought his entire family some trouble they barely got out of... And it made Solomon lose his patience.

But then again, we're not sure of Starlo's age in the comic! This also is just a fun little theory, and I may be reaching because it's literally just one panel.

Anyways! That's most of my analyzing/theorizing out of the way. Now... This is something I mentioned in the tags but I feel like have to bring up here as well...

Orion inherited their Crestina's blue, while Starlo inherited Solomon's orange. I don't have the proper words to describe the thoughts going through my head other than 'interesting...' and 'DADDY ISSUESSSS!'
