bro. i'll appreciate pretty much any content that's consistent but damn, historical manhwa's where the fashion is consistent? pop off.

#i dont read them that much but when they put in the thought you def notice T.T #the most notable ones are ill be the matriarch in this life and a stepmothers marchen like omg #even if there's the few off artistic choices IT IS LARGELY CONSISTENT they stick to an era and they nail it !!!#of course this isnt to drag on other historical manhwa. i love any pretty outfit when i see them. but it just hits different ok 😭#im just saying this as someone who never studied a piece of fashion history in their life but watched a lot of videos leave me alone-#in illbethematriarchinthislife. the womens wear consist of long dresses that sinch HIGH. just below the breasts. jane austen era i think #AND THE MENS WEAR IS ALSO CONSISTENT !! GOOD LORD !! long shirts. image id: a tweet by nick @/nickybravoart on may third. it says, "i'm so fucking mad. this is my classmate Hunter's portfolio who's a trans man. his artwork and statement on gender transition was taken down from my private schools senior showcase for "unspecified reasons". please share this, give him the attention my bigoted school denied." attached is a portfolio with four sequential images with similar lighting and background. the background is composed of two vertical stripes: the left is white and the right is sky blue. the skin tone of the person in all four images is a near-white pale. in image one, the person has long hair, red lipstick, and a sleeveless dress that is white with small red shapes that are either triangles or hearts. they are looking straight into the camera while holding scissors to a section of their hair. in image two, they are holding the cut off hair and looking at it in a way that makes their eyes hard to see. they look pensive. they are no longer wearing the dress. in image three, they are holding the back of their hair, looking out. there is bandage-like binding on their chest. in image four, they again have red lipstick, but this time it is smudged. the camera is zoomed out further so you can see that along with similar bandage binding, they are wearing black boxers. they are holding the top of their head and looking straight into the camera. end id.

note: while it is safe to assume hunter is portraying himself in this set, it is still possible it is a piece on transmasculinity as a whole, so i opted to use they/them. i searched for "hunter gender photography" but could not find this piece, so if anyone does have a link to any of his socials for credit let me know.
