just finished red dragon and immediately placed holds for silence of the lambs bc wowowowow what a rollercoaster of a book!
many highlights include: will graham being will graham
this extremely interesting interaction between lecter and graham that left will absolutely fuming.....
and then this
like.. oh. oh wow yeah. fuller masterfully weaved this book into a completely different tapestry for the show! this was a breathtaking line to come across after watching nbc's hannibal
#clown horn#hannibal#horrorluv#will graham#francis dolarhyde#this book was amazing#i canNOT wait to get to meet clarice in these books after just recently rewatching the movie!#any nbc hannibal fan who hasn't read this book yet should. fantastic writing#and soooo much of this book ended up in the show... just in different spots#as you can clearly see. dolarhyde was the one feeling the quiet sense of power that killing gave him#when in the show that's will's answer to lecter asking him how killing hobbs made him feel#beautiful!#one weird thing i'm not sure abt tho: this... shiloh character briefly mentioned in the last pages of the book#why didn't the plotline get picked up at all in the 2nd book? we shove graham to the back shelf and never explore him deeper#bc clarice stepped onto the stage instead#is... is 'shiloh' the Antler Man in the show?#like a visual representation of will's darkness and his own connection to serial killers?#it seemed like it was going to be a segue into will's past finally being revealed but. well. we never get to it#i'm awful curious abt that tho#too bad harris never did interviews... would have loved to learn more abt will and 'shiloh'
