ALRIGHT PEOPLE. I'm READY.
LAST OF US 2 SPOILERS!!!!
......
.......
Are ya gone yet? Have you scrolled past if you don't want to see?
....
Alright. *CRACKS KNUCKLES AND NECK* Let's jump on into this!
First off I'm done with the game.
Second off..... THIS GAME WAS FUCKING PHENOMENAL!!! 10/10
The ending litterally killed me. Finished 2 hours ago, talked the ear off of my best friend for about 1 and a half hours and gushed and lamented the whole time. Cried for about 20 minutes by myself. Had an existential crisis. So on so on. And now I'm here, in the middle of an online meeting cause, ya know, Corona, muted with no camera on, because I'd much rather be typing out this dissertation.
Y'ALL. Go play this. It is AWESOME.
Now for the third and probably longest bit of this. My rebuttal to the bad reviewers:
I still contend that the bad reviews are 1 of 2 reasons with a little of a 3rd mixed in to both. #1. Being that people are pissed they killed off Joel and think the story did a disservice to the characters. #2. People are pissed because they think Naughty Dog was pushing a liberal agenda with a heavily muscled female antagonist/protagonist, a gay Ellie, and a transgender side character, Lev. The mixed in #3 is the extensive violence which I do contend was a lot. Yeah LoU1 was definitely violent, but damned this one got dark. And that's something coming from me because I am a fan of gratuitous violence.
Let me tackle these real quick. I'll be brief about #2 here though.
IN REBUTTAL TO REASON #2 - If you honestly didn't like LoU2 because of this reason (which I explained in my previous post about how IT IS logical that Abby be built the way she is and how Naughty Dog was definitely NOT shoving this or ANY of the others i mentioned in anyone's face in my opinion) you're in need of some corrective thinking and you should re-evaluate your ideas and realize that your opinion on these social issues doesn't matter and is wrong. None of these things make the game story illogical or bad. Bottom line: there are people like this in the world and their stories in this game drive the plot. It doesn't belittle the previous games or detract from the current game at all. You're just bigoted. Calm your tits and don't play the game if it upsets you so much. Pull a Seth and bury the hatchet. Make some steak sandwiches.
But I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and imagine that the majority of the bad reviewers were more pissed at reason #1, Joel's Death. But real quick.
IN REBUTTAL OF REASON #3 -If you hated the game because of the amount of violence, do realize that the violence was the point of the story this time AND IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE A DRAG ON YOUR SOUL. LoU1 was about finding love again in a violent world. Love being in the foreground and the violence a backdrop, which is why the violence didn't feel so in your face even though it was PLENTY violent. LoU2 was about succumbing to the violent world because of losing love. Violence being the foreground and tainted love (insert song here ya bastards) being the backdrop that drives it. AND HERE IS MY FAVORITE PART PLEASE READ THIS PART AT LEAST IF YOU DECIDE NOT TO READ THE WHOLE THING.
Think of the two endings. LoU1 WAS a story ABOUT finding love in a violent world BUT ENDED with Joel committing a violent act to protect his love (killing all the Fireflies, 1 of which was Abby's father and the driving reason for LoU2's main plot, and DOOMING THE WORLD TO INFECTION AND DAMNING HUMANITY). LoU2 WAS a story ABOUT losing love and reacting with violence BUT ENDED with Ellie doing a peaceful act (allowing Abby to leave alive with Lev) because of the love she had for Joel (that flashback scene of Joel playing guitar when Ellie decided to forgive him for the violence and lie at the end of LoU1).
DO Y'ALL SEE HOW IMPORTANT THAT IS?
There NEEDED to be a LoU2 because LoU1 ended with violence and a lie. LoU2 fulfilled this with an ending of forgiveness driven by a memory of love from the first game.
I've read a lot of the bad reviews where they mention the violence became too much and ruined the game. And that Ellie wouldn't act like that. First off Ellie totally would, fuck off with that noise. Second off THAT'S THE POINT. This was a story about how revenge is cyclic violence and it doesn't end until someone makes the decision to end it!
BOTTOM LINE: I felt ragged 2/3's of the way thru this game because of the violence, but that's the point of the story. Revenge is not worth it. Especially when it's with people like Abby and Ellie. Because neither are villians. AND BOY HOWDY DID IT TAKE ME A LONG TIME TO COME TO TERMS WITH THIS. Because I HATED ABBY FOR KILLING JOEL. When I first started playing her I DID NOT WANT TO BECAUSE I WAS ANGRY WITH HER. I litterraly felt dirty playing her. But this game did something amazing to get me around to appreciating her character. NOT LIKING HER CHARACTER, but appreciating. And I will tackle this in my next rebuttal.
IN REBUTTAL OF REASON # 1 - Let's talk about Joel's death.
I WILL NOT LIE TO YALL.
I was mightily upset about his death. At first I thought it to be a disservice to a beloved character. But then I realized something. See above about Joel's actions. He killed all those Fireflies and DAMNED THE WORLD. Not only that it is specifically mentioned in both LoU1 and in this game that Joel and Tommy did horrible things before they met Ellie and before Jackson. JOEL WAS NOT A GOOD GUY.
I think what people are upset about is the REALNESS of this game. A lot of other game developers don't do what Naughty Dog has done. Naughty Dog did not shy away from Joel's character flaws and his past wrongs! In fact, all the user's that use the reason for hating the game as "too many plotholes" Y'ALL FUCKING PLAYIN. More on that later.
Back to what I was saying about realness. In the real world, Joel's death and the brutality of it and suddenness of it is actually a very logical event that would occur. Abby doesn't KNOW Joel like we do. All she knows is this guy killed her father and a lot of her friends and damned humanity in the process. LoU1 is not a happy game. Might I remind yall about Sam and Henry? But his death was not "sudden". And it didn't steal Joel from us. I actually really enjoyed all the flashbacks to him. We got more than enough time and I actually feel as if the time we got with Joel was better because of his death so early in the game. DO NOT TELL ME THAT THAT NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM FLASHBACK DIDN'T FULFILL EVERY FEELING NEED.
And now for the wrap up - the big hangup that I see of those who hated Joel's Death is that the story didn't redeem it. They couldn't "buy" Ellie forgiving Abby at the end.
As I stated I will not lie. I was worried for about 2/3s of the way through this game that the bad user reviews were accurate and that the story sucked because I couldn't see where the writers were going. All I saw was senseless death of characters that I had loved and that I was coming to love. I straight up love Jesse by the way. It wasn't until Abby met Lev and Yara that I started seeing the majesty of this revenge story.
BECAUSE THE TRUTH IS I HATE FUCKING REVENGE STORIES WHERE THE MAIN CHARACTER IS LIKE, NO, THEY WOULDN'T WANT ME TO DO THIS. Before this game I'd be like "miss me with that bullshit" but after today I would say "give it to me like this." This actually felt real. And boy was it raw. Guys, the reason I started forgiving Abby is because of her decision to help Yara and Lev. Because it was her attempt to right the wrong of killing Joel which was eating her alive. Her and Owen and Mel. Guys. She is Joel. Why the hell do you think Joel did what he did for Ellie in the first game? Because he liked her at first site? BULLSHIT. He did it because Tess told him to do something good for once. IF YOU ARE UPSET WITH ABBY THEN YOU SHOULD BE UPSET WITH JOEL. I get it. Abby had to earn that with her story because at the beginning I'd have said leave her to the clickers. BUT CONTRARY TO THE USERS OF THIS REASONING SHE DID DESERVE HER REDEMPTION. The game shows over and over and over again that Abby isn't some mustache twirling villian who deserves instant death. She is complicated. She cares and she hates and she loves. She knows what's right and wrong and tries to do right as much as possible but she's human and she gets angry. Anger means you care.. and she cared about her father. She's a good human too because good humans feel shitty about doing shitty things and if you are observant at all you can tell immediately with Abby, as we play her in her Seattle Day 1, that she has doubts and isn't comfortable with her role in how Joel died. SHE DESERVED BEING FORGIVING BY ELLIE AT THE END. AND IN THE SAME TOKEN ELLIE DESERVED FORGIVING HER AND BEING FORGIVEN BY ABBY. It is very clearly obvious by the end of the game that Ellie could not reconcile her revenge killings with her best memories of Joel or with the actions she had to take to get there. Also it is of very important note here that Ellie stopped drowning Abby because of a flash image of Joel playing guitar. And then later on actually seeing the memory associated with that image that stopped her you can understand why Ellie did stop outside of just being as tired of violence as Abby was. The memory shows Joel and Ellie agreeing to try to forgive Joel for lying to her about the Fireflies and denying her her purpose. All this the night before he is killed. Note what Joel says. "If God gave me the chance to do it all over again. I would have done the same thing." Just that fucking devotion he has for Ellie shines through and she really understands his reasons for what he did. Still doesn't feel as if she can forgive him. THAT IS IMPORTANT. She DOES NOT agree with his decision. She understands it, but doesn't agree. But still decides to try and forgive. GUYS. That's exactly what she understands about Abby. Joel was sorry but he still would have done it. Same with Abby. There's a reason that image popped up as she was killing Abby and not the image of his beaten up face.
Remember that line from LoU2? Tess said it. As she is confessing to Joel that she was bit. "We're shitty people, Joel. It's been that way for a long time!" And Joel says "No, we are survivors!"
Y'all don't think for one second that Joel wouldn't have gone after that Soldier who shot Sarah if Tommy hadn't shot him? Y'all kidding yourselves.
Abby realizes this truth in the end. She realizes the part she played in enhancing and playing into the fucking violence and shittiness. Staining and tainting herself in the process. She just wanted to be clean. And Ellie just wanted to be clean.
Bombing this game is doing a fucking disservice to the emotional complexity of this story. It's been a long time since I've been that emotionally twisted.
This game isn't preachy. This game makes something clear that alot of other revenge stories get wrong. Revenge makes otherwise good people do shitty things and the shitty things taint us for the rest of our lives. At least Ellie and Abby stopped themselves before they tainted all their being.
Yeah we're shitty people. But we don't have to be.

WandaVision episode 6
FIRST OFF
Whenever I go back to pause things for clues, and find exactly what I’m looking for, I don’t feel justified, I feel that much more insane:
Tumblr media
It’s really hard to make out, but I had an alright look at it on my folks’ QLED, and it’s definitely a flying saucer doing an alien abduction on what looks to be a person inside an old CRT TV (with some kind of robot head/boombox on top???)  There are secret aliens in this show, you guys, the facts don’t lie.
HmmmMMMM I wonder if Agnes is as innocent as she looks:
Tumblr media
Also, I didn’t see that she was wearing the brooch in this ep, and I was majorly disappointed in that.
Two things here:
Tumblr media
No, that’s not a twins joke.
Another Moonmen Confirmed
I know green is his color or whatever, but that hat is literally 10 years ahead of its time
Also, I took the playing-DDR-at-home scenario at face value, and only on the first rewatch did I realize it was a very pointed turn-of-the-century reference.  I am an Old.
There’s a good, subtle Rule of Threes in this ep.  The Setup:
Tumblr media
The Sokovian Halloween flashback works on so many levels.  It’s so funny:
The fact that they went trick-or-treating at all
The “speaking Sokovian”
The treat being a fish
They have to share the fish
The concept that this event gave them an infectious disease
“You probably suppressed a lot of the trauma” -- it’s a good sitcom joke but.  the trauma is the joke.  The joke IS THE TRAUMA!!!
Elizabeth Olson is a dream with all her wonderful faces she has this ep.
Vision’s unsettling passive-aggression-sitcom-cooperation whiplash is WOW, consider me unsettled!!!!!!  “Be. Good.”  UGH.
(Just noticed one here, but there are a number of continuity errors in this episode, enough to be distracting later on, and is this a deliberate choice?  Please let it be deliberate.  I didn’t watch a whole lot of Malcolm in the Middle, is it known for its continuity errors?
Tumblr media
)
“It’s their first Halloween.” LOLOLOL they are TEN YEARS OLD and this is their FIRST halloween I LOVE IT
Tumblr media
DOUBLE RED HERRING CONFIRRRRRRRRMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Agent Jimmy Woo accidentally identifying himself as the sassy best friend added 20 years to my life.
Tumblr media
Found.  FOUND.  Not “created,” “manifested,” “willed into being using my insane witch powers.”  Third Party Confirmed.
I like that it’s the 90s and we can swear on TV now.  “Hell” “kick-ass” “damn it” “fu---dge”
I think the most biting part of Vision finding the whacked out folks is that the soundtrack just kind of ... ignores that anything’s wrong.  Yeah, it’s kinda-spooky Halloween music, but it’s still 100% in-world kinda-spooky-sitcom-Halloween-episode music.
OKAY LET’S TALK ABOUT THE AD:
Tumblr media
As a 90s child, let me tell you, this is a blisteringly accurate representation of children’s marketing from the period.  The shark is wearing sunglasses AND he has a surfboard!!!  And he’s selling you yogurt of all things!!!!!  This is the supreme distillation of what being a child in the 90s was like.
How disappointed I am that they went with crab instead of lobster.
Heard it through the grapevine that this is a representative of Wanda’s imprisonment on the Raft.  That happened in Civil War, right?  So the next ad is The Snap?  We’re running out of iconic decades, too. so, hold on, new thought.
90s: Civil War
00s: Infinity War
10s?????: Endgame???? or?????????
??: Whatever happened between Endgame and WandaVision, given that the ads are stepping forward through Wanda’s IRL life events!!
I don’t want to know how many episodes are planned/announced, but I don’t know what to expect from the format after they run out of decades from which to draw.  Maybe there are only one or possibly two “sitcom” episodes left.  Maybe after that it just breaks down and they can pick and choose from the worlds/styles we’ve already established.  That’d be p neat.  A very unique kind of chaos.
Tumblr media
god she’s so cute
Okay, somebody explain to me Pietro.  I honestly walked away from last week thinking he was just some townsperson chump, but then I was reminded that this is the Quicksilver actor from all those X-Mans movies I never watched, soooo people are saying Multiverse Confirmed?  But, if this is X-Mans’ Pietro, then why did he die the same as MCU Pietro?  Or is he literally MCU!Pietro’s corpse, given that he looked all dead same as when she saw Vision’s corpse?  If MCU!Pietro, then why different face???
????????????????
Also I found him highly suspicious, what with all the questions he was asking.  But the only sort of person who would truly want to know the answers to those questions would be someone who already had them ... so I think he was just asking on behalf of the audience, and the delivery was all wonked out.
Rule of Threes - The Reference:
Tumblr media
Ok, real talk, whenever computers/networks/data/encryption/servers/mainframes et al come up in mainstream media, I just look away.  I don’t need the kind of psychic damage that comes with such egregious mishandling of the topic.
That being said, does Hayward having eyes through the barrier mean that he could possibly be involved in getting it set up?  Because look.  If Hayward-after-Hayward’s-Villianous-Ends is one antagonizing force, then is there really room for the Third Party (Confirmed) antagonizing force that’s lurking in the negative space silhouette of the Inciting Incident?  With Wanda as the Red Herring antagonizing force, that’s just.  There’s just too many villains, alright?  We gotta start merging these plotlines.
(then again, when I just said “eyes” I realize probably understanding the true nature of his new secret “CATARACT” project will clear a lot of things up.  I’ll wait for enlightenment)
Agnes’ license plate in this episode is 0A1-B2C, which I think is a reference to the way reality is getting pared down to bare bones at the edge of town.  Note that this is not the same license plate number as seen last ep.
ALSO, I drove home behind a NJ plate just an hour ago, and was staring at it for a long time, trying to fit it into the puzzle before A) realizing that this was Real Life and not part of the show and B) WTF is a NJ plate doing in front of me in California.  In any case, I can confirm that NJ plates do not appear to have this number-letter repeating format.
So let’s talk Agnes.
Tumblr media
Demonstrated knowledge of the situation in ways others haven’t (”There’s the star of the show” “kids, you can’t control ‘em”)
Shows up when needed most (explained as being Wanda’s doing, but is it)
When Wanda was having her babies, though, who was trustworthy enough to be summoned?  Was it Agnes?
Wanted to babysit REAL BAD
Was in the opening credits framed possessively with the twins
Doesn’t appear to have an IRL identity according to Jimmy’s crime board
Keeps talking about her husband but we’ve never seen him.  Highly unlikely that he’s real
Was the one to find Sparky “dead” - internet thinks she was lying to Wanda about how or possibly if he was dead (I’m trying not to read the theories, so idk exactly what the angle is there)
In an episode where everyone is wearing their original comic outfits, Agnes is dressed as (and laughs like!) a witch
She name-drops Wanda as the one controlling everyone; Norm (or the guy playing Norm) only said “she” and “her” -- meaning Agnes?
Naughty
So we’re 99% sure Agnes is Agatha Harkness, right?  I never read no comics, so I’m taking the internet’s word for it, but from what I can tell, I think we must be right.  If that’s the case, then I’m thinking it’s not impossible for her to be pulling some strings around here (giving Wanda a justification for her “that wasn’t me” doorbell ring, for example, and pulling a double red herring on the fact that she shows up whenever the narrative Wanda her nefarious scheme calls for it).
To devil’s advocate myself, though, we also have Monica’s word that it was Wanda in her mind, lessening the impact of Agnes falsely confirming what Norm only implied.  Also she’d have to be acting for Vision’s sake (and ours) and, if so, then what did Vision’s brain-touch really do, and how did she know he’d find her there, and what did she intend as the result of that interaction etc etc.
If Wanda’s (or Wanda + Third Party Confirmed (Agnes??)’s) powers aren’t enough to sustain the simulation of life on the edges of town, how much worse is it going to be now that there is even more area to try to control???
I don’t know if this is strictly an intended read, but the idea of Halloween as a fun, scares-for-entertainment’s sake type holiday, the rounding off the edges of concepts like “skeletons and ghosts are what people are after they die, let’s decorate the town with them and have a good time” kind of is a haunting parallel to the nature of Wanda (et al) covering up the horrible truth of the situation with this happy-go-lucky sitcom glamour.
Tumblr media
How much does one hate seeing Vision giving his life for the greater good (the greater good) for the second time?  In other news, I think I’m seeing some specifically Mind Stone type energy-colors coming off of him, and very little Wanda type energy-colors.  Third Party Confirmed.
Also, I was thinking from last week that perhaps Hayward’s Villainous Ends included capturing the reanimated Vision to be one of those Sentient Weapons his organization is all about, but I Do Not Think his reaction to seeing that sought-after prize disintegrate in front of his eyes really matches up with that theory.  Again, will be patiently waiting for Jimmy to check his email to see what CATARACT is all about!
Rule of Threes - The Payoff:
Tumblr media
Also, anyone ID the movie playing in the background?
Ok, final thought.  I watched this about four times today, and on the big-ass TV at my parents’ house finally paused and got up close to see what that white shape is in the reflection.  Thought it might be a skull, but, it’s worse.
Tumblr media
These caps do not contain enough data to verify my claim, but I PROMISE YOU it’s a TV
Tumblr media
A square old thing with a round screen and antenna on top.
I SWEAR to you, when I looked into the TV, into Wanda’s eyes, only to see the reflection of a TV, of her looking at me looking at her I had a visceral fear reaction.  Like.  LEGIT nauseous skin crawl.
(All the other episodes have ended with our POV as the fourth wall, from the general (or exact!!!) position their household TV is known to be.)
This is my favorite show Of All Time.

SPOILERS: My Two Cents on Joel's Death Scene
Tumblr media
I've been seeing alot of criticism about how Joel's death was handled. And what's funny is that I've been seeing like a bunch of different perspectives of how it was handled.
Some people said it was good and that he deserved what he got. And that for someone like Joel, he didn't deserve a heroic death because they say he was basically the bad guy of the first game, just because of what he did at the ending of Part 1. And also, they say the game was trying to be a bit realistic, as in the real world death is sudden and you don't get to choose what kind've death you get.
And some people jump in and get mad at the people who didn't like this game and say well, you don't like it cause your straight white male character died. Which is so far from the truth!
Other people say that the way Joel died was a disrespect to his character and it felt like Naughty Dog was giving the middle finger to the fans. They say that he should've gone down in a blaze of glory. They also say the lead up to his death makes no sense cause Joel wouldn't have gone into that room as it was shown in the 1st game that he was very cautious, very untrustworthy and very smart and the writers made Joel stupid just so this scene could happen.
How do I feel about it? Well, I did say in my thoughts about Part 2 that Joel did deserve better. And I still stand by that but I wanted to go into more details about it.
And this is from someone who kinda likes the game. (Although right now I'm having a love/hate relationship with the game)
So, let's get on with it
Tumblr media
Okay...so....I'm gonna put this out there:
No, I'm not mad that Joel died.
Honestly, I was expecting it to happen. But what I am mad about is how he died and how early in the game he died.
His death scene felt more like it should've been either at the middle or towards the end of the game, not at the fucking 2 hour mark of the damn game. Where it's placed feels more like for shock value than to tell a story. It also felt rushed like the game wanted to hurry and move along the plot.
When I first got to this scene and the moment Abby shot Joel in his knee, I ain't gonna lie I started crying. And when she gave that final blow to his head with a fucking golf club, I bawled like a baby and I couldn't stop.
I even stopped the game when I got to Ellie's 1st day in Seattle, and contemplated whether I wanted to finish the game or not because his death upset me that much. And it still upsets me.
And yes I know that's what Naughty Dog was going for, they wanted me to feel like Ellie, but the thing is...after thinking about it...his death really didn't make much sense.
How is it that a man that noticed an ambush right away just by looking at one guy holding his stomach and pleading for help then ran over that guy as a bunch of hunters come out of their hiding place is the same one who just walked into a room full of people and allowed himself to get surrounded.
And before anyone comments and say He had gone soft from living in Jackson for 4 years
We are actually shown in one of the flashbacks that he was still precocious when he tells Ellie to put on her mask. She even was like "Do I have to? It's just us." And he says "What if we run into someone?"
Plus I don't think living in one place for 4 years erases away your 20 years of living in the zombie apocalypse. And also he was shown to be untrustworthy at the very beginning of the first game when Tommy drives up to a family on the side of the road and Joel told him to keep going. And this was Joel the night of the Outbreak!
Now if we were shown, in the game, that Joel had gotten soft then maybe I would've believed it. But we weren't. Neil said in an interview that he had gone soft and I think he explained it but here's how I see it.
When you make a game, show or movie....SHOW, DON'T TELL!!
It doesn't look good when you have to explain some stuff in an interview or outside of your product when your product is supposed to do that for you, especially a video game.
Instead of having a character develop off screen, show us his development!
And for people that say Joel was the villian, go screw yourselves because he's NOT a villian. But yes he's not a hero either.
Tumblr media
I always saw Joel as the anti-hero. He is someone that's not the good guy but he's not a bad guy either. He does things that only benefits himself or people he cares about.
Like Punisher, John Wick, Deadpool and one of the best anti-heroes, Walter 'Motherfuckin' White AKA Heisenberg.
Tumblr media
But back to Joel, yes he has done bad things but in the world he lived in for 20 years, you have to do questionable and bad things to survive or you will die! Unfortunately, you can't live a peaceful life in the zombie apocalypse, you have to fight or you will die.
Plus let me ask you people that say Joel is a villian this, if someone you loved turned out that they are immune to a zombie-like virus and the only way they can get the cure is to kill the person you love. Would you let them kill the person you love? Or would you do everything in your power to make sure that person was alive?
I'm sure you guys would say "Oh I'd let them die to save mankind". Which is bullshit, cause if you were put in that moment, you guys would do what Joel did.
When I first finished the 1st game, I was conflicted. I wasn't for sure about the choice Joel made, but after thinking about I understood it and kinda agree with it.
Cause I know if it was my little brother or sister on that table, I'd have done the same!
Plus we aren't even sure if the cure would work! Yes I know there's a recording of the doctor talking about it and saying there's a chance for a cure. But thats the key word a CHANCE. Plus how do we know if the cure did work that the Fireflies wouldn't use that as a power play.
Cause sorry, human beings can be horrible and once they discover something that big and understand it, they want to weaponize it or do a power play and be like Oh look what I've got! Oh you want it too, well you have to do something for me first.
Anyway, I also didn't like that the game put Joel in a villainous light and it basically said that what he did was wrong, even though at the end of the 1st game it was being ambiguous and morally gray. There was no right or wrong answer to it, so I don't know what the hell happened there.
It feels like Neil Druckmann had succumbed to hating Joel and wanted him to suffer. It also feels like he hates Ellie too but that's a whole different conversation. Almost like he resents the things he has created.
And look yes, I do believe the consequences of your actions will come back to haunt you but there could've been a better way to handle Joel's death. He could've been captured and tortured and maybe Ellie tries to save him but at the last minute he dies in some form or fashion, I'm not sure.
Or how about this?
Have Abby beat the shit outta Joel and then be like "you know what? I want you to die right here, right now....but that would be too easy. So..." then she turns around and kills Tommy in front of Joel.
There you can still have your revenge plot and a story with Joel and Ellie!
I mean, I don't get why it took them 7 years to come up with a story and this game was the best that they could do and yet here I am, a random fan fic writer with no professional skills and a fan of the first game, came up with a better idea.
You know, it's just....I don't know, I wish I was like a very famous or popular person and was able to interview people cause I would definitely interview Neil Druckmann and ask him what the hell was going through his mind when he wrote this game?
Anyway, like I said there's so many ways to have dealt with Joel's death or with the whole story of the game but as for now thats all I've got to say. I'm sorry if it reads like I'm rambling but alot of thoughts kept floating through my head.
Let me know what you guys think and what are your thoughts on Joel's death?
Do you think it was good? Or are you like me and think it should've been handled better?
