thinking about the fact that i spent valentine’s day with caesar in venice… we were training with loggins and messina at the time but i do not believe we did nothing for valentine’s day. i probably gave out flowers to caesar and lisa lisa, maybe even snuck out to kiss caesar when messina & loggins weren’t looking. i remember one day, we snuck out from hamon training and drank together and made out. probably danced and ran around like idiots at night, laughing and admiring each other… we were probably caught later and Heavily lectured by lisa lisa, loggins AND messina all at once but that didn’t deter us from continuing to be idiots in love. we probably spent so many nights together, not sleeping, staying up for hours talking about nothing in particular, and caesar played darts while i rambled to him about batman lore. then, we kissed and i lay my head on caesar’s lap as he played with my hair. i’d extend my hand to stroke his chin and the ends of his hair, smiling up at him like he’s the most precious thing to me.

god. i really miss caesar…

KINLIST + REASONS FOR KIN Please don't take this seriously, I hardly know what kinning even is and I just like most of these characters. Also I have multiple One Piece and Dragon Ball kins but I just picked the ones I liked the most.

Pre-Timeskip Buggy The Clown. I kin him because he's a goofball and I relate to the whole "villain that sucks at being a villain" thing.

Skeletor. Also a villain where nothing ever seems to go his way, plus I grew up with him as a fav character and love his vibe.

Lalo Salamanca. Extroverted goofball psychopath, can always liven up the room.

Gyro Zeppeli. It's been a while since I read part 7 but I remember him being a silly guy. I kind of struggled to find a kin in JoJo despite loving it so much but this is the closest.

Nappa. FAIL. FAIL. FAIL. FAIL. CRINGE FAIL VILLAIN. Also a goofball psychopath. Also he hung out with Vegeta when Vegeta was in prime twink form so I'm sure he kept him company on those lonely space-faring nights.

GGST Faust. Goofball with a dark vibe. I've always loved Faust in every iteration.

Anton Chigurh. Don't really kin him but I included him because I need to spread the word of No Country for Old Men being the best movie of all time. Watch it.

James Sunderland. Considering I'm all fucked up in the realm of love and I grew up with Silent Hill 2, I kin him because I too would go insane and hallucinate my significant other being alive if I killed them.

Taiga Saejima. I kin him because I literally look like Saejima from yakuza 4 if he was 5'4, a little fatter, caucasian, and wore glasses. Also he's my favorite character in the entirety of Yakuza both story wise and gameplay wise

I wish I'd been more honest with you - about a lot of things. I don't know if I'm ever going to find you again and there's this pang of regret constantly for never telling you how I felt about you, and for not being strong or smart enough to stop you.

Even now, I still blame myself for what happened to you. For being a stupid 18 year old who didn't keep his mouth shut.

You deserved so much better. We were way too young for what happened to us.

Dear all,

Atsushi Sakurai, loved by many as the vocalist of BUCK-TICK, was suddenly rushed to hospital after falling ill part-way through the concert at KT Zepp Yokohama on October 19, 2023.

At 23:09 JST on October 19, 2023, he passed away as a result of a brainstem hemorrhage.

A departure far too soon at the age of 57.

A funeral service was held in accordance with the wishes of his next of kin, and attended by family.

We are deeply sorry for the delay in making this announcement.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Sakurai.

Please be advised that condolence calls and telegrams, incense, flowers, and other such expressions of sympathy will be strictly declined. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.

This year marked the 35th anniversary of the band’s debut, celebrated with a concert this September at Gunma Music Centre in Mr. Sakurai’s home prefecture, leading into their 36th year.

We, the members and staff, are still in a state of confusion and disbelief over this sudden occurrence. Our sadness cannot be expressed with mere words.

We would like to hold a memorial service for his fans at a later date.

We are deeply sorry to the organizers and those of you who were looking forward to attending future concerts for the inconvenience.

We are truly thankful to all of you, the fans and staff, who have supported Atsushi Sakurai for all this time.
