It's called Ransomware. It supposedly started in 2012 and started locking computers. It's sent through email or compromised websites.

Leigh shrugged her messenger bag onto her shoulder, grabbing her keys and running back through her list of things she needed for work. Convinced she had everything, she walked back into the living room where Vale sat on the couch and the twins happily watched Sesame Street on the TV.

"I have to go now,," she said to Vale. "Butler's helping Madame Ko with something, so I don't know when he'll be back. Are you sure you can watch the kids? I mean, there's a daycare not to far from my clinic. . ."
