#holding astolats fics in my hands gently like hamburgr#I've read two in the last 24 hours in total over 100k words#because i finished one of 65k this morning after a sleepless night and went to check my email and there it was#a message from ao3 telling me astolat just posted a whole new 40k fic#with MORE magnificent bastards and dazzling plots and noblebright heroes and character arcs that rival best I've seen#and now with a twist! her signature ruthless overlord genius is honorable and likable and and not a ruthless overlord now#and her signature follower tired fighter who is deceptively smart now gets super complex character arcs#and all that as always wrapped up into an extremely satisfying ending that is as happy as they get in that setting probably#anyway i had a blast and there's still so much more I'm going to read now#luckily she has around 450k in that fandom total so I'm looking forward to an interesting week
