am i missing something? why are the writers piling up on jimmy for despising chuck? if i thought really hard i would remember only a handful of times he wasn't shitty to jimmy (regardless of whether he thought jimmy deserved the shittiness or not). in any case, no amount of "chuck brought a trashcan for me to throw up in" or "for 5 minutes chuck didn't hate me" can change the fact the taping incident was the point of no return. i guess it would be adequate to expect jimmy to feel guilty for having played a role in chuck's death, but a) the writers basically gave him an indulgence by saying that he relapsed specifically after howard brought up the insurance problems, b) nobody but us knows jimmmy played a part in the insurance problems! so everyone around him is hating jimmy for not weeping for a person who treated him like trash for a big part of his life? really?

#i mean that would be okay if it was framed as them overly idolizing chuck but through kim being his outsourced #sense of morality we are shown that jimmy is actually in the wrong it's baffling #i would be less bothered by it if it wasn't a major plot point and probably what will finally make kim leave in s5 #the most annoying part is that i actually found the bros' convoluted relationship pretty interesting but the way they're moving forward #with it...#you really don't have to care/#my commentary #better call saul/
