that minute when you write up an entire essay about how a tumblr post you saw about evangelical christianity was incorrect, then delete the entire post because you realize that the anecdotes from your childhood are like. way too much of a bummer for tumblr.

#my childhood was uhhh in retrospect very disturbing #but yeah no thanks man that post I wrote about disney's benefits for gay employees was enough attention for me #I guess I'll just say that misreporting about columbine sure as SHIT didn't create the evangelical christian persecution complex #if anything the preexisting persecution complex was WHY that event was misreported like it was #it was just an extension of the preexisting media blitz surrounding like. the satanic panic and D&D and ~scary othered teens~.#...also I don't think there's any way to fully understand how covid became the divisive issue that it did in this country #without understanding the specific way in which evangelical christians have been fucking weird about china for over 50 years #these statements are unfortunately related
