Okay but, hear me out, what if, readers parents were villain/mad scientists Who really, really loves reader and hovers(?) over them trying to make sure readers doing okay and still trying to figure out Tim is a threat or not I think ıt would be funny tbh
i dont really know how to fit villain parents into it, so i thought scientist was more fitting? im going off what ik from the arkhamverse for the company, not that it matters much!
reader's parents who trying to get a read on tim, who always seems just a little bit unhinged, but nobody else seems to notice— only those who know what to look for can really tell.
they really and truly cared for you, you know that better than anyone. but it gets suffocating when they're trying to monitor almost every detail in your life.
we're just being careful, sweet child, is what they'd always say. after all, they of all people should know the dangers of gotham city when they willingly partake in it's demise.
working for one of the citys many corrupt companies, stagg international, allowed them access to many many years of illegal research. different variations of scarecrow's formula being one of them.
when they'd found out you already made a friend in college, they were ecstatic! but they needed to take precautions. it's not everyday bruce wayne's son takes an interest in someone.
your mother knew something was wrong; with what, she didn't know. but there was something off about tim drake that she couldn't put her finger on.
the first time he'd come over to your parent's home with you, they were pleasantly surprised. they thought tim had an ulterior motive, that your friendship was a front.
so when he would come over, the questioning was endless— they pride themselves on being thorough scientists.
they'd both tried countless ways to attempt to subtly intimidate the kid, yet nothing seemed to work.
your mother saw a boy who was willing to bend over backwards for you, who looked at you like you hung the stars. too good to be true.
your father saw a boy who only wanted to hurt you after he got what he needed (as fathers do). too dangerous for you.
either way, they found tim to be highly suspicious no matter what reason they thought up.
