More #work_in_progresson on #Bandai #patlabour #Ingram 2 #mastergrade kit. The legs and arms are now completed. I just have to finish up the new lights on the upper torso. Only issue is the rubber plastic paint cracked. But I should of expected that as I did paint some rubber parts on a PG kit the I had made before. Hopefully this will be the only part that cracks on me. The arms are completed, they look good, and the details, the little bit of detail it has are nice and clear. After some research I found the way that the hands have actually been coloured in the #anime and found out that they were not just solid grey like I had thought. These need just a little touch up in the grey. But essentially done. I am finding that I have to cut the decals into smaller bits to get rid of the excess carrier film. Starting to look a bit more like a #macross kit. Only issue has been that the MR Marking Setter has reacted with the clear gloss that I have used. The outside was painted gold, then I painted the bottom of thruster steel to add some wear. Next will be adding some dark brown wash for the lining. Then add some Jet Exhaust to add that bit more wear. I included a pictures of the unpainted thrusters for a comparison. Slow build sorry. More #work_in_progresson on #Bandai #macrossfrontier VF-25 Messiah #valkyrie kits. Finally had time to finish masking the white parts for these cover parts. For the masking I used tape and #vallejo masking fluid to make sure that no paint gets through. I am priming one set grey as I will need the yellow grey to go over a grey to make it match the rest of the Ozma's Messiah. As the white will make it a different shade to the rest of the kit I have also started to get on with the main internal parts. These will all be painted steel in the end. The missiles are now in there housings. I have them glued together. I have put putty to fill the gaps. I still need to fill in back part around the peg hole. I just think it will look better. For this I will be using some millput putty. And the gunpods are nearly completed. Just a few fixes with the paint. Finally more #work_in_progresson on the #Bandai #macrossfrontier VF-25S Ozma custom. All the last grey parts ready for priming. For this I am using #vallejo German Panzer grey. This I find is a great base for all my greys that I paint. For this I used a Single action #airbrush with a 0.4mm nozzle at 25psi. This is my main airbrush now for priming. So simple and easy to use. The primer worked perfectly as per usual. Now to give it a good 48 hrs to dry. This lets me mask without the worry of pealing or the issues people have with sanding. The last picture is of the start of the masking process. Which I have found with most of the #macross lines in kits are pretty standard. And can be worked out for most parts of the designs. Heaps of little fiddly little bits with this kit. But am happy how it is going. The head is composed from quite a few little parts. Also you have to sand down the small connection for head otherwise it'll break later on. I have got the collar bone parts completed and have made the lower part to match the steel of the internal structure. I have put a picture of the previous one that I have built to show how it looked. The nose cone is completed. And the cracks are evident when you look. And am starting to get the rest of the pieces cleaned and ready for priming. I need to give this a decent time to dry before I mask the next parts, and one or 2 places Still the main green is a custom mix and looks good. Mind you most colour on this kit is custom. Am looking forward to masking the last parts on the main body. Definitely looks better then I thought and better then the Decals.
