Whether the person you’re talking about is a troll or bigot, they definitely thrive off of attention and people trying to argue with them which is why I blocked out their url. 

Bigotry is a sliding scale, and I think people get to the very extreme end of it for many reasons: attention, mental illness, abuse (being brought up in an ultra-extremist family), or some combination of all these. Honestly the most helpful thing you can do for everyone involved is not engage because 99.99999% of the time, engaging just emboldens them in their batshit beliefs more. My advice for this individual would be to block them in every way possible and don’t look back.
