futile - day 6
"Go on. What are you waiting for?"
It wasn't the first time Simon had ended up like this, stuck in his jail cell far in the back of the clink - and no one else around but the man who wasn't Bobby Fulbright.
He might have been in his cuffs, but the Phantom hadn't bothered actually restraining them more than that. Simon was just lazily sprawled back on the uncomfortable cell bed, the Phantom straddling his hips with that all too sweet Bobby Fulbright smile.
"Go ahead and escape. I dare you." He taunted, his tone as easy going as ever. Simon didn't answer - he honestly could, he knew it - He was strong. The chain around his wrists were just as much a weapon as it was a restraint - with just the right amount of swing, he could wrap it around the Phantom's neck, and -
In one swift motion, Simon lurched forward, sitting up as much as the other man's weight on him would allow and throwing his hands up to drag the chain over the Phantom's head. He got his hopes up too much, that despicable creature halting him faster than he could comprehend. The Phantom's hand shot out, wrapping around Simon's throat and shoving him back down. Simon's head slammed against the cot, a dull ache lingering - but it was nothing compared to the gradually tightening chokehold from the Phantom.
"Now, now, Prosecutor." That man eased himself down, lips grazing along the underside of Simon's jaw. Simon hissed out a small curse, raggedly forcing short breaths as the Phantom's hand was cutting off his air more. "You should know better than that!" He was nagging like he was speaking to a child, leaving feather light kisses that left Simon squirming uncomfortably.
"You still need to finish serving for your crimes, Simon." His tone never changed. It wasn't really Bobby Fulbright, but Simon's heart was still sinking.
