A/N: I just found out I'm failing my social studies class and there's like nothing I can do about it atp but I mean whatever I have fanfics to write 😋

"Me?" O.de says looking at you dumbfounded. This morning while getting ready for a date you asked seungmin to do your makeup. It was an idea that just randomly struck you, you had all of your makeup laid out and ready to be put on but you decided to spice it up and let seungmin try and do it for you. Since he's an idol he might have a bit of an idea of how to use most things so it's not like you're risking your left eye still being able to see by doing this. Seungmin on the other hand was a little more worried.

"Are you sure? I mean I don't wanna hurt you or ruin your makeup," he said, slightly embarrassed. You just nodded your head.

"I'm positive. I trust you" you smiled at him and he just couldn't resist those dimples. He sighed

"Alright," He smiled as you started prepping more and rolling over a chair from the other side of the room. "but under one condition," he stated. You stopped what you were doing and turned to him with a confused look. "You just gotta give me one kiss, on the lips. A meaningful kiss" he put his hands on his hips and you giggled. You walked over to him and put both hands on his chest simultaneously, you went on your tippy toes and fluttered your eyes shut. You kissed you on the lips "meaningfully" like he said. You then went back onto your feet.

"Goofball," you smiled looking into his Boba eyes. With that you finished setting up and sat on one of the chairs. You rested your hands on your thighs which were pressed right together and covered by a plaid skirt. You excitedly sat up straight waiting for him to sit down with you. He spun the chair towards him and sat down. He then spun back over to face you, man spreading. He then looked over at all of the makeup pallets and bottles.

"So I know you have to clean your face first" he scanned the bottles section of your setup then his eyes lit up. "Do you start with this?" He said holding up the setting spray and you giggled "what? I'm trying my best!" He jokingly growled.

"I know, you're just funny. That is the setting spray, you use that at the end to make sure none of your makeup smudges off" you explained and you saw in his facial expressions that he was following. You then picked up a bottle that used to be filled with setting spray but now was just water. "This is the bottle I use, it's just filled with water" he nodded his head as you handed it to him. He pulled the cap off and analyzed it.

"Okay,uh close your eyes" He said awkwardly and you did as he commanded. "Good girl," he said in his deep voice, to which you replied with a slap of his thigh. (All jokingly of course) he sprayed the water on your face. "Now what" he said realizing he had nothing to spread the water around.

"There should be a pack of little white wipes, just use that to rub in the water," he did as you said, rubbing in all the water gently. "Good boy," you said, making him laugh. He finished cleaning your face and you opened your eyes. He looked around the table to see what was next. He spotted the foundation and started applying it to your face. You were slightly shocked at how much he knew so you just let him do his thing even if he was doing it wrong. Seungmin then grabbed the sponge and started blending it in. He seemed focused; he had the tip of his tongue poking out between his lips.

"Okay next," He hummed as his hand scanned the table of makeup. "Aha concealer right?" He asked as he showed you the small tube he had picked out.

"Yup," you smiled. He twisted the tube but it wasn't budging, he was putting all his muscle into opening it.

"Dang it, I can't open it!" He complained still being unable to open it.

"Give it here," you said, extending a hand. He set it down in your hand and you started to try to open it. It clicked open instantly and his jaw dropped. "You were twisting it the wrong way," you giggled. He face palmed and took the concealer out of your hand. He gently started applying it. Some of it was placed in questionable places but you let him do his thing, as you had said earlier. He then blended it in and thought for a moment of what to do next. You sat there patiently waiting for him to choose, you weren't in a rush.

"I'm just gonna do your eyes now," he said, grabbing a pallet.

"Okay," you said cheerfully, smiling. He popped open the pallet and started looking at all the colors. He started getting overwhelmed by the colors.

"What color should I do?" he asked, looking up at you with doe eyes. You pointed to his head.

"Pink. Like your hair, we'll match" you grinned. He chuckled before saying "okay"

He then picked out a makeup brush to use. He picked the mermaid one.

"Alright, I'll be as careful as possible," he said, lifting up the brush that was coated in pink eye shadow.

"Wait just a heads up, use the darker color on the inside of my eyes and use the lighter one on the outer side," you said, moving your pinky finger back and forth to demonstrate for him. He nodded.

"Got it. Now close your eyes," you did as he said and closed your eyes. He suddenly grabbed your chin making you jump. Ode chuckled and apologized. He then used your chin to guide your head up a bit. He started gently applying the makeup to your inner left eyelid. It was a strange feeling. He wasn't aggressive but he also wasn't being soft about it, just by nature. He moved to your right eye and did the same. "Open" he spoke and you opened your eyes to see your boyfriend intently analyzing your eyes. Looking back and forth between them to make sure it was even no doubt. "Close again" he admonished. He added a little more eyeshadow to your left eye. When he finished you opened your eyes and saw a very similar faced Ode.

He did the same looking back and forth thing before nodding his head. He then spun his chair back to the table to wear the pallet he used previously sat. He scanned the pallet and started dabbing the brush on a lighter pink. You then started giggling.

"What?" Ode turned to you.

"I just didn't think you'd take this that seriously," you smiled at him fondly.

"Oh?" He pondered lifting up the brush.

"It's cute," you smiled with cheeks that were pinker than your makeup. His facial expression relaxed and his cheeks slowly tinted pink too. You watched his eyes and noticed he started looking at all of your facial features. Seungmin cleared his throat.

"Ahem, anyways close your eyes" He said sternly again and you happily abided, giggling. You felt the brush gently tickle your eyelids again as Ode applied the makeup to your eyes. After you felt him stop you opened your eyes. He then nodded his head in satisfaction.

"Okay next," He said, closing the pallet and setting it to the side "eyeliner or mascara?" Asked Ode.

"I personally do eyeliner first but it doesn't really matter," you shrugged letting him decide what to do next.

"Okay I've decided to do eyeliner!" He declared.

"Why'd you say it like a battle cry?" You laughed at his expressive behavior.

"Well because doing eyeliner is every man's fear when his girl asks him to do makeup. Like I could make you go blind" he explained dramatically.

"You can't make me go blind it's fine," you said, picking up the tube of eyeliner. "Even if you did, I love you too much to be mad at you," you smiled, setting it in his hand. He chuckled.

"I'll be sure to remind you about this conversation when we're in the hospital," he said, snapping the tube open. "Alright babe close your eyes," you did as you were told and you felt your cheeks heating up. You just loved it when he called you babe and it was a rare occurrence. You then felt the cold liquid on your eyelid as it slowly went across it. He swiftly finished off the line and you kept your eyes closed to let it dry. "I think I did pretty good for my skill level," he said proudly. "Okay now eyelid number two," after another cold layer of liquid on your lid you opened your eyes.

"Nailed it," Ode smirked and you laughed.

"Okay next, mascara" you said as you put the eyeliner back. He picked out some mascara and opened it.

"Is it supposed to be clear? Is this the wrong thing or something?" He asked as he started reading the bottle.

"It's clear mascara silly,"

"That seems kinda useless, don't you use mascara to make your lashes darker?"

"Yes but some people just use this kind of mascara to make their lashes thicker,"

Seungmin oh'd in understanding and started applying it. He was pretty good honestly, surprisingly there were no accidents.

"Wow that was actually really good, good job," you smiled as you watched him twist the lid back on the mascara.

"Thank you," he said proudly, making you chuckle. "Now finally blush," he said, grabbing a blush pallet and a poofy brush. "Which shade?" He asked, showing you the pallet.

"That one," you told him as you pointed to a nice shade of pink.

"Okay," seungmin said, dabbing the brush in the requested color. He dusted it over your cheeks and looked back and forth between your cheeks to make sure it was even. He closed the pallet dramatically, earning a slight giggle from you. "Finished, you look good as always," he smiled at you proudly. "Now can I use the setting spray?" He laughed.

"Yes," you laughed as you were getting it for him. He took it out of your hand and popped off the lid. You closed your eyes and he sprayed it a few times.

"Mmm it smells good," Ode hummed as he breathed in the scented spray.

"Oh Seungmin, can you hand me the fan on my desk," you said, extending a hand with your eyes closed. He placed the fan in your hand and you swung it open. You started fanning yourself to dry the spray faster. "Okay I'm ready to see your beautiful work" you said opening your eyes. You picked up a circular mirror from your table and looked at yourself. He actually did not do bad! The eyeliner was a little messy and uneven but it's okay he tried his best. "You did awesome," you praised

"I know" he smirked before you slapped him on the thigh again.

"I'm going to use the bathroom then we can head out," you said standing up.

"What about the mess I made?" He said getting up with you.

"It's fine I'll clean it when we get back," you shrugged as you headed off to the bathroom. When you finished using the bathroom and tying up your hair you went back to your shared room with Ode. You found him cleaning up the desk. "Seungmin, what are you doing?" You asked even though it was obvious.

"Cleaning. I know you'll be tired when we get back so I decided to clean for you now," he said, turning to you.

"Aww you're so sweet," you smiled as you were over to hug him. He squeezed you and let go. "Oh but there's one thing you forgot," you grinned up at him. He cocked his head. "Lipstick," you giggled.

"Dang it, I knew something was missing," he groaned, making you chuckle. You went over to your Lipstick section of your desk. You picked out a classic red color that stood out from the rest of your outfit and makeup. You did another check in your full length mirror and turned back to Ode.

"Ready to go!" You said cheerfully. He smiled.

"Let's go," he said, holding your hand warmly.

小红书 (also referred to as xiaohongshu or XHS) is a Chinese image-based social media platform. It is a combination of the feed, likes, shopping, and video aspects of instagram, with the ~aesthetics~ and majority female audience of pintrest. I've grown really fond of it and found that it's algorithm is better than instagram and MUCH better than pintrest with giving me content I enjoy.

I'm going to offer some vocab that is either unique to the platform, or slang that is found on the platform (esp in bullet comments). I don't want this to be too long, so some terms may be omitted if they are found on many other social media apps

APP 小红书: Literally "Little Red Book". Probably a play off of Chairman Mao's book of speeches and writings which is also referred to as the Little Red Book. Yes.. Being called superficial, wasteful with my money, and fake. That’s not your friend. I stopped acknowledging all criticism and telling people my routines when I saw how completely different people’s attitudes about makeup are overseas through xhs and non western cultures. Makeup is encouraged for enhancing beauty and marketing yourself effectively, but in the west it’s flipped to brainwash us into thinking it’s for ugly chicks and adult entertainers.

We’re very very lucky in the USA that we can get by in careers by being barefaced, but that doesn’t give us an excuse to keep being barefaced. I refuse to be apart of the attitude of an entitled American, believing we suffice in our present state and staying willingly ignorant isn’t discouraged.

Don’t take the bare faces comments or attitudes to heart, they’re feeling threatened by you looking better.
