a little follow-up to my recent text post about the Captainverse event we just had!

it's so strange learning about FR Rita's origins and seeing that it's pretty much totally different from what I once thought

I'm also still having trouble understanding exactly who is who when it comes to the early events, especially Sanguine Nights. either way, it's still nice to see confirmation of where FR Rita came from, she's been one of my all-time favs in Honkai ever since I was new to the game!

i wonder how many people still remember Delta's origins and how she's easily a top 5 contender for one of the most tragic HI3rd characters... :(

i just finished Sanka Saga rerun, and wow the ending was so good... and sad T^T but i just didn't understand, what what that thing between Otto and HoC? he wanted Kallen to live but how the deal would help on that?

Otto really didn't want Kallen to die and if she went back to Europe and Schicksal she would surely be executed. So Otto made a deal like you said. The Herrscher of Corruption would amplify the feelings of regret and guilt Kallen felt at the loss of Sakura so that she felt it was her duty to stay and protect Sakura's home. In return, HoC would get a vessel at some point.

And so that's what happened, HoC used her Herrscher powers to drive Kallen into a guilt and depression spiral so she stayed in Japan and away from Schicksal, and Otto would give the Herrscher a vessel, Kasumi was the vessel but we all see how that played out since she beat the Herrscher and then Kallen and the Herrscher die together and Kasumi joins Ferryman (one of the two captains in the captainverse).
