you were shaking and crying. you didn't expect that this little escape of yours will fail. you want to run away but you couldn't because your ring got stuck on your finger and was unable to remove it.

you were hiding in the cabinet in the attic and you swear you heard footsteps coming closer. you wished that he couldn't find you and hoped that fate won't lead you to your demise.

if you want to know who's looking for you, than the answer is berrien cliane, the first butler you met ever since you arrived in the mansion.

"master~" you jolted in fear. you don't want to be found since you're hiding in the attic and this is the worst place you chose to hide. wood began to creak and you know he's getting closer to where you were. "come out, i know you're here. how about talking about this over tea and all will be well."

no, it will not. ever since you found out his dark, hidden secrets, he went crazy and that gentle care he once gave to you became an unknown obsession. but that's not just it. you didn't know how naïve you were every time you spent time with him.

all of your thoughts went to the back of your head as you heard sounds of metal on the wooden floor. 'don't tell me...?'

"you said your heart was scarred and hurt when you saw me like this, right? so how about if i add more to your heart. it won't hurt once you sleep, right?"

you gasped as you're holding your tears, not wanting to sob. you don't want him to hear you. you remained frozen as he gets closer to where you were. you mentally cursed because you can hear your heart beating in fear and it's so fast and loud that anyone in this quiet room heard it.

moments passed, you heard berrien stopped in front of the cabinet. you mentally swear and cursed too many times and your tears fell like waterfalls. you closed your eyes, praying and preparing for your end.

luckily, nothing happened.

you literally heard him walk away from the cabinet and heard him sigh, "well then, i'll just look for you tomorrow."

you sighed in relief when you heard him left the room with the door opened and closed. but that didn't end there.

"i finally found you, master~"

your soul nearly left your body when the cabinet doors opened, revealing a serious, yet angry berrien. you pushed him as you went out of there and fell down to the floor. you wanted to run but your legs gave out and you felt weak yet you stand up with your remaining strength.

on the moment you were about to run, a pair of arms circled your waist and pulled you closely to him. he whispered closely to your ear and said, "i didn't know that you were in a place like this."

you gave up and you know it's your end. he chuckled and he smiled in a way you've never seen before.

"i will never let you go... forever..."
