my greek mythology phase coming back to kick me in the ass (it never went away in the first place)
#thinking about how i love it when deities are depicted to be eery and slightly terrifying#yeah sure modern interpretations like pjo where they're more 'human' are fun and cool too#bc greek gods are kinda like that#but they AREN'T human after all. they're gods. power beyond mortal comprehension and all that#ALSO also i love how greek gods have very clear motifs and symbols tied to them and how it shows in art#i was thinking about how thetis was described in tsoa reminded me of a malevolent spirit#and how athena is often drawn by epic the musical fanartists to be pupilless/expressionless/owllike etc#yeah. the pjo kid in me never died apparently.
