what if i was closer to the age group one year above mine and you were a year younger than me and we still became friends. what if my dad has known you since you were ten years old which means ive known you since you were ten and we basically watched each other grow up through flashes of time. what if the timing was never right for us and you played for tps and i did too but then i went to kuopio to play for kalpa instead. what if i won a gold medal at world juniors and you won a gold medal at juniors but we never won one together. what if you were a penguins fan and i was a flyers fan and we still made it work anyways. what if every summer we were always at the same fundraising events but were never on the same teams. what if my gm wasnt keen on trading me but he did in the end and asked me where i wanted to be most after this team and i said colorado and colorado it was. what if my dad loved you enough that he brought you chocolate all the way from our home country. what if we won the stanley cup together and i yelled for you and you hugged me and lifted me off the ice and my arms couldn't wrap around you all the way. what if during the cup celebration you said you were too drunk to speak english so you would only talk to me from that point on and what if you kept your word about it. what if we went back to finland together. what if we finally, finally won something. together.
