DREAM’s REACTION AFTER SEEING HER FOR THE FIRST TIME (AFTER 3 YEARS) + U (Shotaro, Sungchan)

MARK

Unfortunately, Mark along with the Dream members had to see Yerina in a bad condition, which is in the hospital. As soon as he saw a message (which was sent hours ago) from their manager informing them that Yerina was taken to the hospital, he immediately called Taeyong.

The news was true and Mark begged their manager if they could see her, even if it's just 30 minutes or less. Their manager was kind enough to let them, seeing the despartion in some of the members, one or two of them looked like they were gonna cry.

And as soon as Mark sees her on the hospital bed, he could feel his back turning cold. Seeing bandages on her chest and arms.

'It's really bad.'

Mark could only look at Yerina's sleeping face. He had the urge to touch her face but the members were there, he didn't want the others to know that he still had that little romantic feelings for her.

He actually missed her, he wanted her to wake up and talk again, just like how they usually converse with each other back then.

Mark actually heard rumors from the other members, who heard it from SM staff about Yerina and all Mark could do was scoff.

It was ridiculous and the fact that some staff started to hate her just because of the rumor is beyond absurd.

There is no way Yerina would do such things right?

But Mark wasn't prepared for what Yerina is going to tell him and the others as soon as she wakes up.

"..I do not know what to say, Yerina. I.. I'm sorry for being selfish all this time, thinking that you had actually left us for no reason. I'm sorry for not being there with you and I’m sorry for not knowing... But now that you are here, I want you to know that we are here for you, all of us."

RENJUN

Frozen and Shock.

It was obviously written on his face as soon as the door of the private hospital room opened, seeing Yerina's body on the bed.

Renjun can't believe that is the noona who would tell him 'it's' okay' whenever he made mistakes and the same noona who treats him like her own sibling, the noona who is rumored to assassinate people.

He heard it from the other staff but he didn't even bother.

He didn't want to hear whether it was true or not.

He wanted to hear from Yerina herself.

The only sound that could be heard was the electrocardiogram machine, the beeping sound going on and on, telling Yerina's heart rate.

Renjun has never seen anyone in his circle in the hospital before, excluding his own members. This was the first time seeing someone, and Renjun felt his legs about to give up after seeing red on Yerina's chest - knowing something crucial happened.

Sooner or later, tears started to come out causing some of the members to go to Renjun's side to calm him down.

'What happened, noona?'

It's been 3 years, why does Renjun have to see her in this current condition?

He felt bad.

And surprisingly, Yerina woke-up right after Renjun was sobbing slightly and Renjun didn't know that he would shed more tears of what Yerina is about to tell him and the others.

".......Noona!.. Why didn't you tell us?! Why didn't you just leave us a message?! Why didn't you call the police?! Why... Do you have to suffer alone?!"

JENO

Sad, Just sad.

Jeno actually has moved on from Yerina leaving without any words coming from her personally, although she wrote a letter to Mark 3 years ago.

But now she is back and unfortunately, the first time he met her was in the hospital together with the other members. Seeing her chest being wrapped with bandages and seeing red on her too.

Jeno is one of the strongest members' in terms of emotional wise - but when the whole truth is being revealed by Yerina herself, he really didn't know what to feel.

But all he knows is that he was really pissed with her ex boyfriend.

Jeno was supposed to be appalled with Yerina being raised as an assassin - but for some reason, he was so mad at what her ex-boyfriend had done to her.

This was the first time for him that he felt so much anger in him - although that day he didn't show much of his angry side, he could feel the heat on his chest and his head.

'How could a guy do such a thing to her?'

Little did Jeno know that her ex had done other nasty stuff but Yerina didn't tell the whole truth since it was too graphic and just pure emotionally abusive

"..I'm sorry for what had happened to you, noona. I wish you could just tell us but... honestly it's been 3 years and since you came back to us, let's make new memories together and you have taken care of us last time. Right now, we will take care of each other."

HAECHAN (as of this post)

Unfortunately that day, Haechan couldn't get his mind straight.

He was devastated at that point of time, but seeing Yerina infront of his dorm apartment somehow made him more emotional. He kind of forget that she actually went missing for 3 years that he just went straight to her for a hug.

In exchange of him telling Yerina why he was crying and Yerina needing to tell him why she left, Haechan felt relief that she was back safe despite what had happened to her.

But what Yerina told him wasn't the whole truth - the day where she revealed everything was the day she was hospitalize after chasing after a sasaeng who wasn't actually a full sasaeng. (that fan was actually a hidden member of NROVERO)

He was kind of shock, but in the long run he kind of gets Yerina.

He understands why she had to leave, why she had to be secretive.

But he just wished that she could just tell him or the other members sooner or later - but it doesn't matter now.

She is back in one piece, and Haechan swore he would keep an eye on their female bodyguard closely.

"As long as you are back in one piece and... I know we are just idols but we would not allow your stupid ex to go near you. I mean, we have Johnny hyung, Jaehyun hyung and Yuta hyung to intimidate him but we also have SM to sue his butt off!"

JAEMIN

Worried -> Pissed

At first, he was worried - after seeing Yerina's name being mentioned in the group chat of the 23 members. For 3 years he didn't see her or heard of her name being mentioned, yet Jaemin secretly still cares for her.

Though he didn't show it, Jaemin actually panicked when their manager kind of told Mark, Jeno and Jaemin why the female bodyguard had been admitted.

He didn't say much as soon as he saw her but, he was sad on the inside.

But after hearing Yerina's explanation, he was pissed - pissed at what had happened to her and he blames her abusive ex. He was mad, wondering why that man that was supposed to love her and care for her would do the opposite.

Jaemin wasn't bothered by her upbringing, the fact that she grew up in an assassin family - he was bothered that she is in danger, if not for Eunhee's agency bringing her back home.

Honestly, he is proud of how she turned out to be as Yerina had stated that she wanted to be a better version of herself - and Jaemin knew that the members had to be the one to be there for her, as how she has been there for them back in 2018.

"..Get well soon, noona. We will be there for you, I will be there for you. Do you remember when I felt overwhelmed, and you were there for me? And do you remember when I was sick? You came to check up on me. Now, it's my turn. Our turn to be there for you, even if you don't need us."

CHENLE

Confused -> Shock -> Protective

He was worried sick to be honest, forgetting the fact that he wasn't in contact nor had seen Yerina for 3 years. It was as if those 3 years weren't there in Chenle's vocab.

Chenle was surprised, putting bits and pieces together, also remembering Mark telling Haechan that the older one received a hand-written letter from Yerina.

Realising that she had to leave, in order to protect him and his members. All this while he thought Yerina felt burdened or troubled with her job, in fact, it was the opposite.

Chenle was the first member to break the awkward atmosphere when Yerina woke up from her sleep, from the recovery of the chase.

He was even more shock to know what happened to her for those 3 years, which made him secretly feel guilty for what he had thought. Chenle couldn't imagine how Yerina felt during those 3 years, he really didn't want to imagine - he is really thankful that the members of The Bloody Roses found her sooner.

Now he knows who Yerina exactly is, Chenle is at peace - pushing aside that she is from a family of assassin. He knows that Yerina is a changed person, someone who is trying their best to be mend.

Chenle would be watching her extra closely - in a protective manner and he is keeping a look out for the other staff who had spoke behind her back. ᕤ◕◡◕ ༽ᕤ (can't explain in words but that is Chenle on that day when he walked out of Yerina's hospital room.)

"Let's hang out soon, noona.. After you have fully recovered of course! I want to introduce you to Shotaro hyung and Sungchan too.. although you met him before!"

JISUNG

The same reaction as Chenle, but the slight difference is Jisung is confused lol.

Kind of lost at first, but after hearing Chenle's explanation he finally gets the whole situation.

'....I didn't know Yerina noona is involved with assassins.'

Honestly, he is just following Chenle's lead at first but soon he kind of gets the situation, which was serious and just... sad.

Jisung could see that the Yerina noona who is sitting on the hospital bed isn't exactly like the old Yerina back in 2018; he could tell by the vibes he is getting from Yerina.

Until Yerina told the boys what happened to her and the reason why she had to leave, Jisung was in disbelief and a mixture of concern at that point - at the same time he was pissed at Yerina's ex, he can't believe that the guy was even labelled as ex too.

It was obvious from his face when he is pissed of or mad.

And just like Chenle, he can't help but feel protective of Yerina after what had happened to her.

He had the idea of returning the favor she had done when they worked together, now Jisung felt like it was his turn to keep a look out for his Yerina noona since he isn't a child anymore.

"Get well soon noona so that we can hang-out! Maybe you, Chenle and I could get our favorite ice-creams, the one who usually get and have a walk with Daegal!"

SHOTARO

Curious -> Super Shy

Shotaro has heard of Yerina from other staff, and they weren't so positive. But what made Shotaro kind of wants to be friends with Yerina is from NCT's old manager.

He was the only manager who had said positive feedback about Yerina. So for him it was strange that the others said bad stuff about her but his manager didn't.

So he ran to his Yuta hyung, and Shotaro was shocked that there were staff that hated Yerina just because of her past - and now he found out on why Chenle was so protective and sensitive of Yerina whenever people talk about her.

The first time Shotaro sees her was through the corridors SM building.

He didn't get to say 'hi' and that's because firstly, he was shy and lastly he was scared as Yerina's face looked like she could punch someone with just a glance - plus Yerina looked rushed that time and she was carrying a laptop and a few papers on her arms.

The first interaction was a memorable one for him, and he was glad his Yuta hyung was there as there was a slight misunderstanding with a staff - and let's just say Yerina was about to throw hands but thanks to Yuta being the middle person for the first time, the situation was calmed.

Not to mention Shotaro bravely said that he wants to be friends with her after that incident and surprisingly, Yerina agreed.

"L-let's be friend, noona. I mean.... well I don't want to be awkward with you. You seem like a nice person and someone fun to be friends with... And no, I don't believe with what the staff had said. We know your past so... I believe the members know you better than those staff."

SUNGCHAN

Confused -> Surprised -> Star-Struck

Sungchan was confused although he kind of heard other staff talking about rumours about a certain stuff - Sungchan heard numerous of them, most of them were just scary and just hard to believe.

There is no way SM Entertainment would hire a criminal to work for their company.

Oh, the whole truth was just bombarded to him as soon as he stepped into Yerina's hospital room - it was thanks to Chenle and Jisung that Sungchan got to know Yerina and she was the one that the other staff were talking about.

He was being quiet the whole time when the Dream members were questioning her - he could see they really care for her and all of them have their own fair share of memories with her.

He actually pitied her - he felt that she was misunderstood by others (mainly staff), and that slowly turned into him being protective of her in the long run.

Oh and Sungchan actually has a slight crush on her as soon as he was introduced by Chenle to Yerina.

He even said to the Dream members that she is pretty.

"Let's get to know more of each other, noona! I heard you like to watch Pokemon, maybe we could play some Pokemon games together!"

SUMMARY ⋙ The older members of The Bloody Roses decided to visit Got7 on their set of Home-Coming right after having a meeting with Warner Music regarding their fan concert, not knowing unexpected situations would happen.

“Have you told them that we are coming?”

“Yes, Yerina.”

“Can we even just visit them without telling them earlier?”

“Of—

“Right, I forgot that some of you are working with their individual companies.”

The girls could only look towards the somehow newest member of the group. Not literally new, but she was a new addition although they had known each during their trainee days.

And because of what Yerina had gone through, there was that slight gap in their friendship; slight gap as in there wasn’t that usual vibes back when they were still trainees – both of the girls and Yerina knows it, they could tell whenever they hang out together but the girls would try their best to make Yerina feel comfortable whenever they had to work together.

Haejin pointed towards Yerina with her free hand. “She’s scary.”

Ahrin rolls her eyes, before moving towards the younger one. “Relax, Rina.” She teased. “Each of us has informed the respective managers.” Ahrin turned towards the other girls who were nodding.

Eunhee looked up from her phone, turning towards Yerina. “..Even Yugyeom’s manager isn’t there because he knew Jaebeom’s manager would be there….” Eunhee shrugged slightly and Yerina looked at the girls with an awed look.

The girls were waiting for Chaeun who was inside a regular restaurant they went to with some of the Got7 boys. They wanted to buy food for all the staff and the boys since the girls are dropping by.

A few minutes later, Chaeun came out of the restaurant with multiple white bags which caused Yerina and Eunhee to scramble, to help the poor girl who was struggling to walk toward their car.

“Chaeun! How many did you even order?!” Eunhee gasped as soon as she got hold of some of the take-aways. Chaeun innocently looks at her.

“...Well.. we have lots of mouths to feed and I’m quite hungry.” Chaeun smiled sheepishly.

It’s true though, Chaeun didn’t know if the other girls were feeling the same way, but she was feeling hungry ever since the 9 AM meeting and now it’s almost lunchtime.

“..You’re right though.. I’m hungry too.” Eunhee muttered to herself. “Let’s hurry then.”

“Cut! Everyone, let’s have a 10 minutes break!”

The director announced and the members quickly dispersed, going in different directions with Jaebeom going to the washroom along with Yugyeom in a hurry since they were holding it.

Meanwhile, Jinyoung and Mark quickly checked on their phones while Youngjae decided to close his eyes in an attempt to have a short rest. Bambam stretched his arms at the same time leaning against Jackson’s side.

Jackson’s attention quickly moved towards a certain manager going towards their direction.

“Oh– Hyung!” Jackson called, then saw Got7’s manager from Warner Music Group with a wide smile while holding his phone.

“..I just want to let you know that a few special people will come here for a visit.” The manager announced, looking slightly relieved somehow which caught Jackson’s attention for some reason.

“CEO of Warner Music?” Jackson said innocently and the manager shook his head quickly. “N-no! N-n-o!” 

His reaction got some of the boys to laugh, teasing their manager and somehow the boys didn’t ask too many questions as they began to continue to do their own things. That is when it was Jinyoung’s turn to have his attention towards the commotion outside the film studio.

“O-oh!” Yugyeom was the first one to shriek, after seeing a few familiar faces revealing themselves. Jackson was the first one to stand up and ran towards where they were, followed by the rest of the boys to stand up while looking in disbelief.

“Oh… Look who it is! Ms CEO!” Jaebeom teased slightly, earning a look from Eunhee and of course Jaebeom hid behind Jinyoung who can’t help but smile proudly – his eye whiskers showing obviously. 

“I thought all of you had schedules?” Mark questioned towards the other girls, at the same being by Ahrin’s side closely. Ahrin replied to his gesture by holding onto his hand, showing him a small smile. The couple had shown the group on how LDR is really like, and they know it wasn’t the best option but somehow Mark and Ahrin make the relationship work. Their story would be for another time.

“The young ones took over because…” Haejin trailed off, as she glanced towards Yerina who was in the middle of her and Eunhee. Ahrin and Chaeun turned towards Eunhee for help, since the girls didn’t know how to reply; it was related to Yerina’s family.

“..They are looking for my sister… Well, Eunhee and I are looking for her.” Yerina monotonically replied this time, her arms crossed which made Bambam gulped in intimidation. 

“How long has it been?” Jinyoung questioned this time and there was a sigh coming from Chaeun. “It’s nearly a week. I mean, when it comes to finding someone, Yeonji and the other 2 maknaes would take less than a week. But…” Chaeun trailed off, shrugging slightly.

“I can say this is a hard case.” Eunhee added, followed by Yerina who nodded her head.

“Oh… No wonder Yeonji doesn't reply to my texts often nowadays.” Youngjae muttered to himself. 

“Well– at least the noonas are here to see us!” Bambam said teasingly, earning a few reactions from the other Got7 boys and most of them were stating they were here to see their individual partners.

Soon the group went ahead with the producer saying that the girls had bought lunch for them, hence they will be having an early one.

Just as Yerina was about to walk ahead, Youngjae slowly walked beside her.

“I’m sure they will find her… Yeonji will ensure that.” Youngjae out of nowhere spoke, which caused the quiet Yerina to turn towards him.

For the first time, even when Yeonji and Youngjae invited Yerina to have lunch together, this was the first time that Youngjae sees Yerina’s smile – a sincere one.

Yerina nodded slightly, with a small smile. “I know.”

Yerina was watching how the group is; with couples being dispersed at different areas. Jaebeom and Haejin, Jinyoung and Eunhee were eating outside, since there were tables. Jackson and Chaeun were eating together with the producer.

Mark and Ahrin were together with the others, that includes Yerina since Ahrin and Youngjae were asking her to eat together.

“Babe, Bambam and I are gonna buy some drinks. Want anything?” Mark looked towards Ahrin, before giving him a list of the girls’ beverages – in the end Ahrin asked the other Got7 boys to tag along with Mark.

That’s when Ahrin caught Yerina basically staring at Jackson and Chaeun who were somehow whispering together – them minding their own businesses.

Ahrin nudged the younger one’s arm. “They probably think you're angry at them or something.” She whispered and Yerina frowned slightly, before shaking her head.

“..No.. But why would you say that?” Yerina muttered.

“Because… you were frowning.” 

Yerina didn’t even realise that she was frowning; but all she wondered was how could someone love her in the future. Yerina wasn’t worried but she was questioning her future when it comes to a significant other.

“What are you thinking?” Ahrin’s eyes searched onto Yerina, her gaze still looking towards where Jackson and Chaeun were – now they were exiting out of the film studio hand in hand. 

“Nothing much.” Yerina said softly, but she felt someone looking at her intensely; turning towards where she felt, Ahrin was frowning slightly – which caused Yerina to chuckle nervously. 

“..Well maybe.. I was thinking how could someone be able to… love me.” Yerina answered honestly this time and Ahrin looked away – looking back to where Jackson and Chaeun were. The leader didn’t know Yerina felt this way.

“You’re human, Rina. Everyone needs someone to love. I’m sure someone would love you, there will be someone.” 

Yerina scoffed slightly, shaking her head slightly. “After knowing my history, they probably won’t be able to.”

“..We love you, Yerina. The girls and I care for you, you are like our own sister.” Ahrin sighed after seeing Yerina shaking her head slightly, knowing that Yerina won’t be able to overcome her past. The leader understands her, but Ahrin just wished that maybe Yerina shouldn’t blame herself for everything. 

“....How about NCT then?”

With the mention of NCT, there was a slight reaction coming from Yerina – Ahrin could see the younger one’s eyes widen slightly, before shifting on her seat.

“Well.. They are just..” Yerina muttered, her head tilted slightly. Ahrin can’t help but smirk slightly. She was aware of Yerina’s friendship with the NCT members; Yerina was apparently close to Doyoung, Jaehyun and Mark according to the text messages that she had accidentally seen on Yerina’s phone.

It wasn’t just Ahrin, the other girls too since Yerina was the type to leave her phone openly in random areas of  the shared house of The Bloody Roses.

“They love you, Yerina. They wouldn’t go that far to ask you to join them for group dinners.” Ahrin tilted her head towards Yerina. “Group dinners are only allowed among the members and their managers.”

Yerina’s eyes downcast; although Yerina at first meant love from significant others, somehow the love she receives from her members and the people she is surrounded with made her realise how selfish she was.

The Bloody Rosses’ girls have been with her, guiding her along the right path for almost 4 months now.

‘Have I been selfish?’

“I’m sorry.” Yerina whispered, her eyes turned towards Ahrin who was smiling – her arms wrapped around her shoulders. 

“It’s okay. It takes time, so.. Take your time to heal.. We understand.” Ahrin felt Yerina’s arm wrapped around her waist as a response. They weren’t aware that a figure was rushing towards them, when Yerina saw Eunhee somehow jogging towards them.

“Received a text from Nara.” Eunhee showed her phone towards the two girls who quickly stood up. Ahrin gave a glance towards Eunhee and Yerina, before taking the phone from her – in which Yerina leaned towards the leader’s shoulder to read the message too.

Troublemaker Nara 

Found her.

Taking her to the hospital now.

And she is very aggressive.

According to the doc here, there was the same substance that was injected to Yerina.

But strangely there is 70% of drugs in the substance unlike in Yerina's which has a little percent.

Before Ahrin could say her words, Yerina had already went away from the both of them; feeling the wind on their shoulders – Eunhee quickly gave a quick look towards Ahrin, as they started to be on their phones – mainly Eunhee telling her colleagues that are working in the hospital and her personal assistant regarding the news, and telling them to assistant Yerina since they would be in the hospital.

“I just saw Chaeun pulling Haejin out… And why does Yerina look like she is in a rush? ” Jinyoung came towards the two of them in worry, while pointing out and Ahrin could only spare a glance towards Eunhee – Ahrin could only run past Jinyoung who looked taken-aback.

“..They found Yerina’s sister.” Eunhee stood in front of Jinyoung, his lips formed into an ‘o’ – now figuring out why they looked like they had an emergency.

“So… I assume our dinner after this would be cancelled?” Jinyoung looked at her, seeing Eunhee looking away with a sigh.

“I’m sorry, Jinyoung. I–

“No, it’s okay. I understand.” Jinyoung tried his best not to sound disappointed –  even when Eunhee had been consecutively rejecting their dinner and supper dates. 

“No. It’s not okay, Jinyoung.” Eunhee whispered, holding to one of the sides’ of his arm. 

“I’ll try to make it up to you.” 

Jinyoung lips formed tightly, before giving her a small smile; at the same time gently trying to let go of her hand that was on his other arm. 

“..Don’t get my hopes high, Hee-ah.” Jinyoung muttered, and Eunhee could see the frustration and disappointment in his face – seeing him trying to avoid her eyes.

“Just go, Hee-ah.”

Eunhee frowns slightly, searching onto his face. “Are you.. Asking me to leave?”

Hearing the silence from Jinyoung meant that it was a yes from him.

Eunhee felt like she was about to crumble down – knowing that he might be disappointed or just let down by her. 

She could only look at him before walking away from him, while trying to control her trembling lips. 

Not knowing that Jinyoung was trying to calm himself down from punching a wall, from his own mistake of not being mature.

But what can he do?

Jinyoung missed Eunhee.

127's REACTION AFTER SEEING HER FOR THE FIRST TIME (AFTER 3 YEARS)

TAEIL

He was honestly surprised when he saw her for the very first time in the corner of SM building - but at that time, he thought his eyes were playing with him. He almost asked the other members but his words trailed off, remembering her name used to be a sensitive topic (mainly doyoung and mark).

But he knew in the end his eyes weren't playing with him until he literally saw her, with his own two eyes, standing outside his dorm apartment of the 10th level. Taeil was the first one to approach her since she was busy looking at her phone.

He felt a lot of emotion but mostly, he felt a mixture of happiness, kind of pouty (?) and kind of excited because he heard from NCT’s main manager that Yerina was back to being their bodyguard.

Taeil had a lot of questions to ask and he wanted to know what happened for the past 3 years but he was unfortunately cut off by Jaehyun - then finding out Yerina and Jaehyun had a schedule together.

Once again, pouty!taeil appeared. (He had actually manage to ask her what was going on and Taeil didn't expect to get an unexpected answer, which made him slowly grew more protective of her.)

“So— Aish.. There goes my chance... Maybe next time..”

JOHNNY (as of this post)

He froze, he legit froze - at the same time squinting his eyes just in case he was seeing wrongly but in the end it was really her.

Johnny honestly didn’t know what to feel, he was just surprised after seeing her.

He could tell that she was more masculine physically, although she was wearing all black at that time (and as always.)

Johnny had a lot of emotions to handle that day but he was more attentive towards Yerina, as she was giving her all to Haechan who was crying.

Johnny realized that Yerina was more empathetic, and she had more experience.

But after making an eye contact with her, Johnny realizes that he might need to have a 1 to 1 talk with her, seeing her eyes showing emotions of her being broken in his eyes.

Sentimental.

As soon as Taeyong sees her in the corner of the TBR Agency building, Taeyong felt sentimental after seeing her face, the face where he would always seen almost everyday back then, the face where they had long talks and the face that made Taeyong realised that she was his safe person.

He instantly ran to her, giving her a big tight hug - not caring about Yerina’s other 2 friends since they were with them.

Taeyong almost thought that he was dreaming, but after having her in his arms, feeling the warmth and her toned body, it was all real.

That was a real moment, it isn’t the dreams of her face he had for a few months right after she disappeared 3 years ago - and because Taeyong knew what happened to her (thanks to Eunhee), Taeyong swore that he would keep an eye on her and he would be more genuine regarding his friendship with her. (not that he isn’t genuine but he wanted her to be more than just his bodyguard or ‘NCT's bodyguard.)

He wanted the both of them to be genuine, real friends.

“It’s okay, Yerina, You don’t have to tell me everything. I know, and I am sorry for not being there with you. I wish that I knew what had happened at that time and I wish that we could have been more brave and determined to find you.”

YUTA

A very, very surprised Yuta then comes the sentimental side of Yuta.

He met her in the corners of SM building and he immediately called her out-loud, causing staff to look at Yuta and to whom he is calling.

“Yerina!?”

Though Yuta was being told by Johnny and Jaehyun about Yerina’s arrival and condition, he never crossed-path with her (due to Yerina’s schedule). Truthfully, Yuta had been dying to meet her and that was the moment.

Yuta had never approached a female before aside from female staff, but that isn’t the case for Yerina. To Yuta, Yerina was someone who is a part of his life - although he isn’t sure what her role is in his life.

He didn’t hesitate to hug her, cupping her cheeks while asking numerous questions of ‘are you okay?!’, ‘how have you been?!’, ‘have you eaten?!’. Yerina was nice and calm enough to answer the panicked Yuta.

Since then, Yuta has been really close to Yerina - asking to hangout whenever he or she is free, texting/calling her about her whereabouts and to hangout, calling her to come over to NCT’s dorm (mostly he would get rejected by Yerina because she isn’t exactly as free as what Yuta thinks - but Yerina would return the favor by dropping by NCT’s dorm sometimes).

“..I know I will sound possessive. I mean I am possessive but, I won’t let you go easily this time, and I won’t let you go before hearing your explanation next time.. And yes, I know why you had to leave 3 years ago. I know everything…. Rino.”

DOYOUNG

He had seen her with Johnny, Haechan and Taeyong, in the 5th floor and the bunny wasn’t impressed with her appearing all of a sudden.

At that moment, Doyoung didn’t know why but he felt annoyed and at the same time it mixed with sadness. He didn’t know why at all. All those feelings caused him to quickly exit the apartment, leaving Jaehyun behind since he had come with Doyoung.

Doyoung decided to go to the 10th level since he felt overwhelmed with emotions.

It took him about a week to get used to her presence (though he would try his best to avoid her as a result of Yerina avoiding him too). But that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t steal glances towards her. He noticed how her eyes would always look cold and distant when she was looking at the members.

But all of that ‘avoiding’ would be replaced with constant worry and care when he receives a worrying message from NCT’s manager from their groupchat of all members - regarding Yerina being in the hospital after successfully catching a sasaeng.

That was the day when Doyoung, along with Johnny, Taeyong and Jaehyun found out about what had exactly happened to Yerina 3 years ago, from Chaeun since she drove them to the hospital where Yerina is.

“....I didn’t know...I’m sorry for being stubborn and selfish, Yerina-ah.. Just.. just don’t leave us again without telling us everything. I was honestly worried sick, although I don’t look like it. When you left, I missed you dearly.”

JAEHYUN

As for Jaehyun, he showed an opposite reaction from Doyoung.

He was similar to Johnny, who froze at the same time trying to process what he was seeing at that moment - which was seeing Yerina together with puffy eyes Haechan, the concerned look of Taeyong and the somehow relief looking Johnny.

He just stood there staring at them. Because he was slow, Yerina was fast to read him and unfortunately for him before he could even utter a word, Yerina decided to exit out of the apartment (right after Doyoung had exited himself out.)

“.....Isn’t that Yerina?”

He stayed professional for a few days when they had schedules together - not avoiding her at the same time, not getting too close to her.

To him, if he could depict a song about his relationship + friendship with Yerina, it would be ‘No Longer’ (from NCT 127 ofc, love that song). In his eyes, the 'Yerina' in front of him whenever they had schedules together looked like a whole different person.

And Jaehyun isn’t fond of this new Yerina, so Jaehyun didn’t have motivation to mend that friendship they had years ago. What hurts Jaehyun more is that Yerina too didn’t show any signs of mending their friendship too. (judging from her cold stares).

Just like Doyoung, Jaehyun in the end decided to mend the friendship after knowing what exactly happened to her 3 years ago and what happened after.

“.. I don’t know what to say, my heart hurts. But all I want you to know is that we, NCT members, would be there for you. I know you, maybe, I don’t know what you think of our friendship but maybe for you we are just colleagues. But for me, I consider our friendship way more than colleagues. So I think you know what I am going to say next.”

Just like how systems work, this is how Jungwoo felt at that moment when he saw her - a glimpse of her. (A glimpse because Doyoung out of nowhere appeared in the apartment of the 10th floor, looking all nervous - in Jungwoo’s eyes.)

After asking Doyoung why he looked kind of ‘messed up’, all Doyoung could say was “I just saw Yerina with Johnny hyung, Haechan and Taeyong hyung.”

With just her name being mentioned, Jungwoo rushed down to the 5th level - using the staircase. (The boy didn’t hesitate, he even jumped a few stairs down just to see her.) But sadly, Jungwoo didn’t make it but he did see a figure going down the stairs very quickly - he assumed that was Yerina.

Jungwoo entered the apartment of the 5th level and he didn’t hesitate to ask the other members.

“...Was that Yerina noona?”

“..Yeah… She will be returning back as our bodyguard.” - Taeyong

Of course he is excited, it’s Jungwoo. He really missed Yerina dearly, even he himself didn’t know how to break it into words. Jungwoo had always thought that Yerina would be back but it was just a matter of time.

He had an idea of approaching her but he was being stopped by Yerina’s cold demoaner. In Jungwoo’s eyes, something in his Yerina noona that somehow changed. Jungwoo knew out of everyone Yerina had always had that cold demoaner, but this was just on another level.

Jungwoo is lowkey sad but he found out in the long run by the other members that Yerina had a tough history. When Jungwoo heard Yerina’s tragic past, what happened 3 years ago and the aftermath, Jungwoo unexpectedly broke down - right in front of the other members who were really shock on his sudden breakdown.

“What message?” Jaehyun quickly sat up as soon as he saw Johnny basically towering over the view of his own phone - the young one wasn’t the type to check a group message that had 40+ messages and he knew the other members would personally message him to remind him of a schedule.

“You didn’t see our convo did you, Jae?” Johnny raised his brow, seeing Jaehyun chuckling awkwardly after hurrying scrolling the long conversation.

The situation regarding a sasaeng fan has been successfully handled by Yerina herself. I just wanted to inform you and I hope you could inform the NCT boys that their bodyguard, Yerina, has been taken to the hospital.

“Yerina is in the hospital? What happened?” Jaehyun questioned while looking up towards Johnny who was typing on his phone. “I don’t know, I’m asking manager hyung now……”

Jaehyun somehow became a little anxious. “Can we see her? I mean we have a few hours left before our next schedule.” Jaehyun added, seeing Johnny texting since his fingers were moving fast.

Jaehyun decided to personally text Taeyong about this, asking the leader if he might know what had happened to her since he is close with the now-well known enforcement group, The Bloody Roses’ members - Eunhee and Yeonji.

“Manager hyung said this was sent by one of the representatives of TBR Agency, ‘quote - it is best if the NCT members didn’t know what had happened. It was Yerina’s request for us not to tell you or the other members.’,” Johnny read the text that was sent by his manager.

“Great.. More secrets,” Johnny muttered while sighing.

“...And I believe there will be more,” Jaehyun added, seeing Johnny’s little frown. Both of them knew by now that Yerina isn’t just a normal bodyguard - they just couldn’t figure out what she is working as.

“Guys!”

Taeyong’s head appeared out of nowhere at Jaehyun's door, making both of the two guys look towards the leader.

“I received an approval from Eunhee and manager hyung that we can visit Yerina in the hospital! In fact, Yerina is awake by now!” Taeyong said excitedly and Johnny quickly got out of Jaehyun’s room to get himself a hoodie to get ready.

Jaehyun just brought a jacket with him and a hat.

Once they were ready, they gathered in their living room.

“C’mon–

“Wait! I-I’m coming too!”

There came Doyoung wearing a full black clothing, while gripping onto his phone - he just saw the message from Taeyong, saying he is bringing Johnny and Jaehyun to the hospital to see Yerina.

Doyoung felt bad the other day for what he said about Yerina, this was the chance for him to redeemed himself to her and to Jaehyun - although he looks like he is unbothered but honestly, he was a little pissed at Doyoung for saying such things about Yerina.

“C’mon,” Taeyong pulled Doyoung hurriedly, since someone was waiting for them downstairs.

“Thank you for driving us there, noona.”

“Your welcome, well - I am seeing Yerina too. I have some books to give her at the back,”

Taeyong sat on the passenger seat, while Chaeun, one of the members of The Bloody Roses who is driving them to go to the hospital where Yerina is at.

Johnny, Jaehyun and Doyoung were at the back seat, with Doyoung being in the middle while the other two were looking out of the window.

“How is Yerina so far? Do you know what happened to her?” Taeyong asked out of worry, his head slightly turning towards Chaeun - seeing her frowning slightly.

“...Do you really want to know? I mean, what I am about to tell could traumatise you,” Chaeun straightforwardly said, earning both Johnny and Jaehyun’s attention - their heads turning to the front.

“She is our bodyguard, we know she left out of nowhere.” Johnny added, “Besides, didn’t MMG terminate her contract with us?” Doyoung added, looking toward Chaeun.

Chaeun raised her brow slightly. “She didn’t leave.. Although she managed to hack into MMG’s systems but…. She was forced too, not by MMG though - by her ex boyfriend.”

“She has a boyfriend!?!?” The four boys slightly yelled in unison, Johnny and Jaehyun looked towards each other - seeing their very funny reactions while Doyoung had his mouth open slightly.

Chaeun giggled seeing their faces at the back. “She had one. But her ex wasn’t a very nice ex. He basically threatened Yerina to leave whatever she was doing and return to him. If she doesn’t, let’s just say he would personally come to her.”

Chaeun’s voice was serious, there was no hint of her joking around.

Silence filled the air next and Jaehyun was biting his inner lip nervously, before deciding to break the air. “I noticed previously, when she accompanied me for my schedule, she is different.”

Chaeun’s eyes moved towards the rear-view mirror - seeing Jaehyun’s eyes. He looked serious. “You can blame the serum for that,”

Doyoung turned towards Johnny with a frown, “Serum?”

“....Serum? What serum?” Johnny questioned, his brows furrowing deeply and he didn’t like where this was all going.

Chaeun sighed loudly before stopping the car because of the red light. “...During the 3 years when she was with her ex boyfriend, Yeirna was basically being locked in an apartment,” Chaeun paused slightly, gripping onto the steering wheel.

“He did a lot of cruel things to her, one of which was injecting random experiment serums on her. I received the analysis from Nara that most of the chemicals in the serum actually affect her mental well-being.” Chaeun added, before continuing driving.

Taeyong could only look back towards Doyoung, seeing the guilt on his face for what he said while Johnny and Jaehyun were already feeling terrible for some sort of reason.

“Noona, what did you mean it affects her mental well-being?” Doyoung questioned this time, wanting to know more.

“I don’t know how to explain it to you but the chemicals that dickhead put on Yerina somehow made her see flashbacks of her past, on what she had done - more like the past where she isn’t proud off.” Chaeun explained.

“At the same time, those flashbacks mixed with her happy ones. She actually wrote in her reflection journal that she sees a few faces of happy guys then seeing blood and red. I assumed that those happy looking guys she is talking about, is you guys,”

“.... I don’t know how to react to what you have told us,” Johnny commented at the back, and with his comments, silence decided to fill the air till their destination.

The four men actually had deep thoughts, they didn’t know how to react to what Chaeun had said to them.

They didn’t know Yerina suffered badly - and here she is still trying to do her job, which is protecting idols.

“You guys look like you guys just lost a dance battle or something,” Chaeun joked towards Taeyong, seeing him smiling slightly.

“I didn’t know Yerina suffered this bad,”

“We didn’t know either,” Doyoung added and Chaeun’s face softened, seeing that they genuinely cared for her teammate. “It’s okay, we feel bad for her too,” Chaeun muttered while leading the four men towards Yerina’s room.

And there is their female bodyguard who was sitting on the hospital bed, crossed leg while reading a book with an earpiece on. It seems she didn’t notice the four NCT members along with Chaeun, who revealed themselves at the clear glass window.

Doyoung’s eyes fell towards her face, she looked like she was really concentrating - her brows slightly furrowed as she moved along with what she was reading.

Guilt was just written all over Doyoung’s face and Jaehyun clearly sees it now, him patting Doyoung’s back as an encouragement.

“We’re going in, okay?” Chaeun turned towards the boys, they could only nod while following Chaeun’s lead. The woman knocked the door, slowly pushing the door slightly.

“Yerina..?” Chaeun called and Yerina’s head turned upwards before looking towards where the group was. There was a slight smile on her face after meeting Chaeun’s eye contact.

Her eyes then fell towards the boys at the back, she looked slightly surprised after seeing Doyoung - knowing that he had said some words about her, but Yerina truly didn’t care at all.

“Hey, what brings you here?” Yerina’s eyes turned towards Chaeun seeing the older one smiling while standing at the side while gesturing towards the NCT members.

“I drove them here, a small favour from Yeonji and your books that you told me to bring….if you forget,”

Chaeun gave the tote bag that was filled with the books hse mentioned towards Yerina -hearing a soft thanks from her.

“How are you..?” Taeyong questioned softly.

“Does it.. Still hurt..?” Johnny pointed towards his own chest, knowing that he meant Yerina’s own chest.

“Painkillers helped with the pain so I guess it’s not that bad, but I’m trying not to depend on painkillers,” Yerina looked towards the boys.

The day after her schedule with Jaehyun, Yerina somehow avoided a few of the members, because of Doyoung’s comments. But she still carries on her work by accompanying some of the NCT members - mostly the Dream boys.

“But you should still drink it, if the pain is still there,” Jaehyun commented and Yerina nodded with a small smile. As soon as Jaehyun made eye contact with her, there was a feeling on his stomach - for the first time, in so long.

“Yerina-ah,” Doyoung called out of nowhere, and that made Yerina break eye contact with Jaehyun before turning towards Doyoung with a small hum.

“I.. I wanted to apologise to you for what I had said. I mean, I didn’t mean that I don’t trust you…” Doyoung trailed off slightly, his eyes glancing towards Yerina’s face - seeing her looking far away, as if she was in a daydream.

“I was just suspicious of you. You left for 3 years and came back out of nowhere. You didn’t even tell us and just.. left,” Doyoung said his reasons, he was trying his best not to whine or start any argument but how could he?

She left for 3 years without saying anything, and made them worried.

“I know.” Yerina whispered - her eyes downcast, “I didn’t just leave, by the way,” Her eyes slowly looking towards Doyoung in the eye.

“I was threatened that if I didn’t come to him, he would eventually come to me. Do you really want that to happen in Mexico, in their hotel where the 127 members were there and cause massive trouble which could lead to stopping the concert?” Yerina raised her brow, then turned towards the other 3 members.

“Do you want that to happen?” She then turned towards Doyoung who looked like he was going to cry any moment. “I didn’t text or informed you guys because I knew he would know so I just shut my phone, leave everything that might made my ex find SM’s personal information in a box and sent it to MMG,”

Yerina explained smoothly, she didn’t sound emotional at all compared to the four guys who were trying their best not to shed tears - well except for Doyoung who was already sniffing.

“So it is understandable if you don’t trust me. Even the other staff in SM doesn’t trust me,” Yerina shrugged while turning towards Chaeun who had her face downwards.

“We trust you though,” Taeyong muttered, his big eyes staring into Yerina. “...Wasn’t asking for you to trust me,” Yerina answered with a sad smile.

“No but we really trust you. I mean the moment you wrote the letter to Mark… I kind of accept it, I don’t know about the others but I did. You must have left for a good reason, you’re a good person, Yerina.” Johnny commented and Yerina shakes her head, letting out a slight chuckle.

'A good person? Me, a good person?"'

“You don’t understand, I’m not a good person, Johnny.”

“But you didn’t have a choice, Yerina. You were being forced, being trained that way. That doesn’t make you a bad person,” Taeyong softly advised her - after Yerina, with the help of Johnny since she had told her about her family history, told them about her past - how she grew up into a family of assassins.

“I killed innocents,”

“You did that because you were angry, they killed your brother.” Jaehyun commented, receiving a slight frown from Yerina.

“Jae is right, Isabella. Besides, I don’t think those people who are family members of NROVERO are called innocents - since they knew what they had done to others.” Johnny shrugs and Yerina lets out a sigh.

“I don’t know why you guys are seeing me in a positive light. You should be hating me,” Yerina muttered to herself, looking at her bare hands.

“We would never hate you,” Johnny sat on her bed, tapping into her covered legs - earning Yerina’s attention, “You did so much for us when we worked together,” Johnny added.

“It will never be the same. I’m not the same person I used to 3 years ago,” Yerina whispered, her eyes still looking down to her own hands.

“Then we will try to adapt to the ‘new’ you. The boys still and will love you no matter who you are or your past, because they know that you are a genuine individual and you changed for the better,” Taeyong added with a small smile.

He wanted her not to blame herself at the same time to feel comfortable when she had to work with the others.

The NCT boys have always loved Yerina, even till this day - none of them showed any signs of hatred with the idea of her coming back, actually they were just excited and just wanting to know why she left.

Jaehyun could only nod to the older ones’ words, agreeing to what they have just said.

Doyoung on the other hand was watching Yerina, seeing how her face lit up slightly with Johnny and Taeyong’s words.

“As expected, the leader of 23 people… You have a way with words,” Yerina turned towards Taeyong, seeing him chuckling awkwardly.

“Yeah, he actually does. You should see his face when he is stressed out controlling 23 boys,” Johnny eyed Taeyong, knowing the leader understands English - seeing the leader slightly glaring at the taller one.

Jaehyun chuckled at their interaction, “Oh not to forget the times Doyoung hyung bickered with Taeyong hyung. Being a spectator is fun,” Jaehyun added, and it was Johnny’s turn to laugh.

“Speak Korean please!” Doyoung argued, whining towards the English speakers and Yerina could only turn towards Taeyong while smiling.

“Okay guys, I think we should go. We have to be at SM building in 45 minutes,” Taeyong announced and Johnny was the only one who said ‘aww’.

Jaehyun and Doyoung actually wanted to stay more but of course, work is work.

“I’ll probably be discharged in about a weeks’ time…?” Yerina turned towards Chaeun for confirmation as the older girl just nodded. “Yeah, a weeks' time. So if I have recovered well, I’ll return back to work. I’ll text you guys if I’m back,”

The four men faces lit up, with her mentioning that she would return back to work.

“Then you should be resting well. I’ll come and visit you after the schedules, get well soon, Isabella.” Johnny patted Yerina’s hands before standing up.

“Thanks,” Yerina muttered, smiling slightly towards him. Seeing him walking away while talking to Chaeun.

“I’ll probably follow Johnny hyung along, we will text you if we are dropping by. Until then, have a good rest.” Jaehyun smiled, his dimples slightly showing while waving at her.

Yerina could only wave at him while nodding his words.

“Have a good rest, okay? Again, I’m sorry for–

“Doyoung, please. Don’t apologise. I understand,” Yerina cuts him off, shaking her head slightly - seeing him smiling a little. “Have a good rest so that our bodyguard can return to us,” Doyoung added softly, before walking away while waving at her.

Yerina waves at him, with a smile.

“Don’t forget to eat the meals the nurses gave to you, and drink lots of water and do not forget to drink the medicines that–

“Taeyong, I don’t skip my meals nor the medicines.” Yerina cuts him off, her brow raising and Taeyong could only squint his eyes at her - seeing she doesn’t look like she is lying.

“You better, I’ll get mad if you don’t eat your meals,” Taeyong muttered, before patting her head out of habit but soon he froze. “Sorry, I shouldn’t–

“You used to pat my head, it feels nostalgic though,” Yerina muttered. It’s true, back when they worked together, Taeyong would always pat her head out of care. He treated her like a younger sister since Taeyong is a month older than Yerina.

“...So you are okay with us.. You know the gestures we used to do back then.. Like hugging, holding hands when we are cold...?” Taeyong tried to form his words correctly, knowing the other three guys were hearing their conversation.

Yerina nodded slightly, “..I’m cool.”

“I can’t wait until you are back as our bodyguard,” Taeyong cutely waved towards her, earning a chuckle from Yerina - watching the group walking away while having a conversation with Chaeun.

AUTHOR'S NOTE/WARNINGS ― Slight Angst. Assumptions of Starving. Basically Yerina reveals everything to the NCT members.

SUMMARY ― The Dream Boys, along with Sungchan were the first ones to visit Yerina who is in the hospital after chasing a undercover fan who works for NROVERO. (The Beforemath : The Chase)

“Dude, you are really tall!”

“..Or maybe you are just short in general, hyung.” Chenle savagely answered Haechan, who was glaring at the younger one while the others were chuckling their hearts out.

NCT Dream just finished their performance, then met Sungchan who was the Inkigayo MC, to take pictures together.

They had a little moment together, with Haechan basically teasing Jeno and the other wanting to punch Haechan for being an annoying brat - when all of a sudden in the corner, their manager received a call.

This caused Mark and Jaemin's attention to fully turn towards their manager’s drastic change of face expression. He looks worried sick while conversing with the other party.

It was obvious that the manager was trying to speak with the other side of the phone away from the boys.

Despite seeing the worried face of their manager, Mark and Jaemin decided to turn away from him - mainly Mark who was looking on the bright side while Jaemin thought that maybe there was some trouble with the management.

While waiting for their manager, Haechan was scrolling onto his phone along with the young ones when a few messages popped up from the 23 members group chat.

The situation regarding a sasaeng fan has been successfully handled by Yerina herself. I just wanted to inform you and I hope you could inform the NCT boys that their bodyguard, Yerina, has been taken to the hospital.

Haechan’s eyes went wide.

Before he could even say anything, Chenle was already yelling with his dolphin voice with a loud ‘WHAT’.

“Hyung! Did you see the message?!” Chenle was running towards Renjun who was quietly texting a few resourceful people. He even called a certain staff member, which made Chenle more anxious seeing the elder boy’s face turning slightly pale.

Mark on the other hand, along with Jeno and Jaemin, were probing their poor manager who looked kind of taken-aback too.

“Hyung, what’s going on?” Mark’s voice went low and in pure seriousness. He can tell that his manager doesn’t even know anything, since he called a few people.

At the same time, Jisung, Chenle and Sungchan were busy reading the conversation between the older members and their managers. They can tell this was something serious, seeing even Winwin who was probably making his way to China, joining the group chat.

Once their manager made the final 5th call, he gathered the boys up - even Sungchan himself.

“Okay everyone. I have gotten an approval from Ms Eunhee, that we could visit Yerina in the hospital. Sungchan, I have informed the Inkigayo staff that you would be gone for an hour.” Their manager informed them, and everyone nodded quickly - making their way out of the music show.

They were honestly nervous, including their manager, who had actually worked with Yerina previously.

To him, she was one of the nicest and hardworking staff. She treats the members equally, and she genuinely is loved by the artists in SM.

Renjun, who looked completely devastated, sighs to himself earning eyes from the others, especially Mark.

“Everything is going to be okay,” Mark muttered towards Renjun, whose eyes were downcast as they entered the car - not knowing what they were about to find out.

The car drive wasn’t that long, the hospital was actually near the music show and hence in just 10 minutes, they arrived at the hospital that had a very tense vibe.

Although there wasn’t anyone in the main ground except for the receptionists.

“...Don’t you think it is too quiet in here?..” Jisung whispered towards Chenle, seeing the Chinese boy rolling his eyes openly. “..Hospitals are supposed to be quiet, you dummy!” Chenle whispered-yelled towards the young one, who was shrugging his shoulders.

Sungchan could only chuckle at the both of them, at the same time following Haechan’s footstep.

The older one was following Mark and their manager at the front - going to the reception area and surprisingly, the nurse told them that someone was waiting for them at the front corner.

“I wonder who that could be,” Mark muttered to himself, following the footsteps of their manager.

While Mark was being positive - well trying to be positive, Renjun who is beside him on the hand can’t help but feel worried. It actually shows on his face, he was biting his inner lip while looking around.

It was just a tense vibe he felt.

Jeno, Haechan and Jaemin were clearly just as worried as their manager - although for Jeno and Jaemin they didn’t obviously show it.

Although they had not met Yerina, it was as if the feeling of worry for her was just normal. It was like the times when she hadn't left yet.

“So.. who is Yerina..?”

“It’s Yerina noona,” Chenle added for Sungchan who clearly looks more lost and confused than the others.

Sungchan actually had heard about Yerina a few times from the other managers, but he couldn’t figure out who exactly is she.

“She was previously our bodyguard, until her contract was terminated suddenly. Even manager hyung does not know the reason.” Jisung whispered and Sungchan could only nod, following the older ones at the front.

Just then, they saw a familiar figure - by seeing her usual formal dressing, their manager quickly recognized the face.

“Isn’t that Eunhee noona?” Haechan pulled Mark’s arm, the younger one recognized the familiar figure just from far.

Haechan, as well as Mark, actually has seen her from time to time in SM Entertainment building; she usually meets with the higher executives.

The two of them were actually intimidated by her although the older members of NCT are quite fond of her.

“Ms Eunhee!”

With her name being called, her head that was downcast snapped towards the voice - seeing a small smile forming on her lips.

“....And yeah, that’s what happened.” Eunhee sighed, seeing the very shocked at the same ‘shookth’ faces of the members of NCT Dream along with their manager.

Eunhee just told the boys about what had happened to Yerina, why she is in the hospital, why her chest looked like it had bandages.

Now, Eunhee is going to explain to them why Yerina suddenly appeared in their lives - after 3 years of disappearing.

“To sum it up, she was being held hostage by her abusive ex for 3 years, and we finally found her about a month ago and we decided to bring her back home.” Eunhee revealed, her eyes locking with each one of the members - even the newest one, along with their manager.

“Did you report to the police?” Mark looked towards Yerina’s body, before turning towards Eunhee, seeing her smirking while folding her arms. “...With the help of Chaeun, Nara and Hyunji busting her out….. So yes, eventually,”

“Heol.” Renjun whispered.

There was a proud smile from Eunhee, her smile quickly faded as she forgot more important information to inform them.

Which is Yerina’s family history, NROVERO, her being a past-assassin.

Although she is the boss, it wasn’t her right to tell about Yerina’s personal life.

Her change of expressions actually caught some of the members’ attention.

“So her agency terminating her contract was a lie afterall?” Jaemin’s voice sounded calm, but he was actually rather pissed. Why did her company lie?

“About that, it wasn’t actually our company’s doing,” Eunhee sighed, “Yerina is one of the longest trainees in MMG and she actually has the same rank or level as our leader, Ahrin.”

Chenle is smart to catch on to what Eunhee was saying, or he kind of figured it out. “...It was Yerina noona who somehow hacked into your systems and terminated her own contract?”

Everyone turned towards Chenle, somehow frowning while looking at him weirdly. “What?”

“He is right. She did, in order to protect everyone.” Eunhee muttered, while turning towards the clear glass window, showing Yerina’s sleeping body.

Out of nowhere, there was a slight gasp coming from Mark then looking towards Haechan. He didn't realise he was gripping onto Haechan’s shoulder while shaking the younger one.

“The letter! Did you remember the letter?!” Mark shook Haechan, “Yerina noona wrote me a letter saying she had to go,”

���And when is that?” Eunhee frowns, seeing Mark’s face fading into a sad look. “That was when we had 127 tour in Mexico,”

“Ah..” Jeno muttered, remembering receiving a call from Haechan regarding the issue - remembering the letter they are talking about.

“She must have wanted to protect all of you, or she must have assumed her ex was trying to trigger her by mentioning her loved ones,” Eunhee said to herself while looking at Yerina.

Biting the bottom of her lip, Eunhee finally let out a slight sigh, turning towards the boys and coincidentally, her phone vibrated - seeing a message from her colleague.

“You guys can see her, if you want to.”

“Yes please,” Chenle commented at the back and Eunhee could only nod while opening the door for them to go in.

Sungchan was the last one to enter, before noticing that Eunhee was just standing there.

“N-noona, you’re not going in?”

“I’m afraid not, Sungchan” Everyone somehow heard her, making them turn to her.

“I have to go, everyone. Anyways some of the 127 members will be coming in about 30 minutes. Oh, by the way, congrats on your Hot Sauce win and on your debut in NCT, Sungchan! I’m looking forward to your future promotions and performances!”

Without hearing Sungchan's reply, Eunhee closed the door softly - seeing her answering a call with a very serious look on her face will fasten her pace.

“...Thank.... you..” Sungchan awkwardly said, while hearing the others’ chuckling seeing Sungchan’s reaction.

“We’ll explain more about Eunhee noona on the way back,” Chenle patted Sungchan’s back before turning their focus on their previous-bodyguard’s sleeping body.

In their eyes, she looks different.

It was as if she had lost so much weight, as if she had starved herself.

There was so much on their minds, each one of the members but Renjun, he couldn't help but become emotional that there were clouds on his eyes - clouds of tears.

He was wondering which man could do such a thing to a beautiful and wonderful woman.

Renjun remembered that there were rumors about a bodyguard that had assassinated people in the past. He didn’t want to believe anything, since it was just rumors.

Even if it’s true, Renjun believes in Yerina that she is a changed person now - since Eunhee had her into TBR Agency.

He didn’t realise he was crying when he heard himself sniffing and sobbing, which made some of the members go to him. Jeno could only pat Renjun’s back, with Jaemin by his side.

The young ones - mainly Chenle, Jisung and Sungchan were on Yerina’s side.

Jisung, who was gazing into Yerina’s face, suddenly saw her eyes twitching slightly. He who couldn’t believe this, had to rub his eyes a few times.

“Hey, I think I saw Yerina noona’s eyes twitch,”

“What? I didn’t see anything,”

“I saw!”

“But I didn’t!”

While Chenle and Jisung were bickering, Sungchan on the other hand witnessed everything - seeing her eyes beginning to twitch rather obviously, causing him to quickly call the others.

“Yerina noona..?” Mark softly called, seeing her eyes beginning to flutter open.

She slowly turned towards him and for the first time in 3 years, this was the first moment that Mark had made eye contact with her - and honestly, he could see that Yerina isn’t the same person he met 3 years ago.

He could see it in her eyes and he could sense it.

“Huh–

Yerina’s eyes begin to shut tightly, then groaning in pain as she tries to move while the Dream boys quickly get onto her side to assist her.

“T-thanks,” She muttered while looking at each one of them.

Silence started to fill the room which made things quite awkward. The members can't help but look at each other sensing the awkward atmosphere.

But not for Chenle. “How are you feeling, noona?” He was the first one to speak, not hesitating to look her in the eye. “..My chest and stomach hurt.. It must because of the kn–

Yerina cuts herself off from saying the sensitive word, which made the members look at her with worried looks - especially Jisung and Renjun, and Yerina could see it through to them.

Which made her feel bad.

“How did you know I am here?” Yerina spoke softly, and the members kind of turned towards their manager - he too looked taken-aback, more like he was afraid to tell her that he told the information to the NCT members.

“I-I told them that you were at the hospital,” The manager stuttered a little, making a one second eye contact with Yerina.

“Did you tell them how I got hospitalised? Please don’t tell me you didn’t.” Yerina whispered at the end and their manager looked towards Mark for help.

“Actually, Eunhee noona told us what happened.” Mark spoke in english, seeing Yerina frowning. “All of them?.. Okay, did she tell you about my family history to you guys?”

This was Mark’s turn to shake his head confusingly.

‘What does she mean by her family history? Did something happen?’

“Okay…” Yerina muttered to herself, as her eyes went downcast before closing her eyes.

A lot of things are in her mind. Firstly, she feels like shit.

Secondly, NCT Dream is in her hospital room and lastly, there is no way she can keep her secret long enough.

She feels like she screwed up for some sort of reason, but Yerina knew deep down she didn’t.

“Firstly, I know… It’s been 3 years. I-I saw all your messages in my old phone when I got my old stuffs in my box,” Yerina didn’t dare to look them in the eye, but the words she is going to say next made her look into their eyes.

“I am not who you think I am,” Yerina whispered and there were visible frowns from some of them - mainly Jaemin, Jeno and Mark.

“Were you in the same team as Eunhee noona?” Jeno questioned respectfully and Yerina turned towards him. “No. I was a MMG ‘trainee’. I had my own share of schedules.”

Everyone one kind of had the same question that they wanted to ask her, but no one dared to. So Renjun decided to step up. “...Why did you hack into the systems, saying that you terminated your contract?”

This is it. This was the moment when they were going to judge or probably not want her back - Yerina thought.

“..Because a syndicate group had finally found me.”

“Syndicate?” Sungchan repeated, eyes widened while looking at the others, seeing they had their eyes on Yerina. They know she wasn’t joking at all.

“Could you tell us more..? If you are comfortable….. please…” Chenle pleaded at the end. “..We won't judge you. We just want to know why you left.” Haechan added, and Yerina finally gave in.

“I come from a family of assassins, the people who trained my family are coming for all of my family members… sadly that includes me.”

“Okay, so this syndicate called NROVERO killed your oldest brother, and then you killed NROVERO’s members along with the people that are related to them in vengeance..... and now NROVERO is looking for you…..?” Haechan sums up Yerina since she told them from A-Z.

The Dream boys honestly couldn’t get everything in one go, but their reactions were priceless - they were staring wide eyed towards Yerina.

“Yes.”

“So, you are a wanted assassin?” asked Chenle.

“...Kind of.. For NROVERO.”

“Does the police know this, and are they going to arrest you?” Jisung questioned this time.

“No. Instead of the police, NIS does know this - they actually had a talk with Eunhee, I’m assuming they kind of agree on some kind of terms to clear out my name.”

“Heol.” Everyone said in unison and Yerina sighs. “It isn’t great guys. I’m basically being watched by NIS of my every move.” Yerina shakes her head remembering signing a few papers by NIS along with Eunhee.

“Why didn’t you tell us about this, noona? I thought we were close.” Renjun whined slightly and Yerina smiled slightly.

“I can’t just tell you guys everything. Well, I was actually going to tell you about my personal life in the long run 3 years ago but… they got me first.” Yerina whispered at the end, eyes falling down her legs - not wanting to remember her stupid ex works for NROVERO.

“Your ex is trash, pure trash.” Jaemin commented, him folding his arms in annoyance. “But what he did to you was more severe. He deserves to go to jail!” Jeno added.

Yerina's ex, whom she didn't know all the times when they were together - is actually working NROVERO.

Let's just say Yerina was emotionally abused and, he did some stuffs to her that she won't be able to forget easily.

One of them would be injecting random serums into her.

Yerina only told them about her ex working with NROVERO, but she didn't know told them the whole truth.

They did not need to know the whole truth - including the serum.

Yerina chuckled slightly. “He is on the wanted list of both MMG and TBR. You don’t have to worry about that,” Yerina smiled weakly towards Jeno and he automatically had this shy + awkward smile.

“Boys, I’m afraid I have cut the session off. We have to go.” Their manager suddenly informed them, and there were lots of ‘aww’s and ‘mood spoiler’ coming from Chenle.

“We can see her when she returns back to work, c’mon.” The manager added, and one by one the Dream members stood up.

“Get well soon, noona. Listen to the nurses here. Don’t fight–

“I’m not the same person, Injoonie. I won’t fight them.” Yerina cuts Renjun off, and hearing her calling his Korean name made him blush slightly as he bowed to her before leaving her.

“Hey. I just want to say thank you for opening up to us. I mean... I know it’s really a lot and I really appreciate it - oh and I just want you to know that we ain’t mad. We were kind of just shocked that a lot happened to you when you were gone… So yeah, thank you and get well soon so that our favorite bodyguard can return to us.” Mark awkwardly spoke, him letting out an awkward smile and him just brushing his hand on the back of his neck.

“Thanks. I’m glad that you and the others understand.. Well at least for Dream members, that's why I am a lot more biased to Dream.” Yerina smirked slightly and there was a shocking look from Mark - before waving to her.

“Have a good rest, noona. Please recover fast, because our waiting room is kind of boring now like there is less staff and Mark probably miss–

Haechan was roughly being pulled off by Mark - while covering Haechan’s mouth, dragging him out while waving to Yerina.

“Get well soon, noona!” Jeno said goodbye, “We will visit you when we are free!” Jaemin added, before bowing to her - followed by Chenle, Jisung and Sungchan.

“It’s a shame that we only have 30 minutes, but noona this is Jung Sungchan, he is our newest member in NCT.” Chenle gestured towards the taller one, him bowing towards Yerina.

“Nice to meet you, Sungchan.” Yerina turned towards the taller one, he looked a little shy since he keeps on standing slightly behind the two youngests.

“Can we visit you in a few days?” asked Jisung, “Yeah, of course. If I was given approval of discharge, I’ll ask them to inform Eunhee and she will tell your manager.” Yerina stated and as Chenle was about to ask more, they were already being called by their manager.

“Aww, that hyung is impatient.” Chenle whispered. “That’s because you have a schedule to attend to. It’s okay, Lele. You can still talk to me through text. I still use my old number.”

“Oh.... I kind of deleted your number,” Chenle awkwardly chuckled while Yerina was trying to ask them to go. “You can ask Eunhee or your manager, you guys really have to go!” Yerina shooed them away, as they just waved to her.

For the first time, they saw that genuine smile as she waved at them from the clear glass window.

The NCT members didn’t want to leave her alone but they had no choice since work was calling them.

“Did I forget to mention that Yerina noona is really pretty?” Sungchan commented towards the members.

“Oh~ You have eyes for her? Mark actually had his eyes first though.” Jeno answered savagely, and everyone turned towards him - they were specifically smirking at the older one.

at first, taeil thought she was older than him

judging from her height and her admirable looks

thanks to johnny being his silly self whenever he is with her, mark and jaehyun basically laughing at him and yerina’s confused face, taeil slowly opened up to her

he was very smooth on putting himself in conversations and of course yerina realizes this ⚈ ̫ ⚈

he is trying and that made yerina wanting to get to know him too

somehow became friends after 2-3 schedules together

voted as the unintentionally funniest member by yerina

whenever she accompanies NCT for a schedule that related to recording variety shows, she had to cover her mouth to stop herself for laughing at his funny interactions with the hosts or his own members

he finds her funny too when she speaks to the Dreamies or arguing with the members

she looks like she doesn’t understand what’s going on

but what he didn’t know is that she is very attentive of her surroundings

once on their way to a recording, yerina was the one who handled a sas**** who tried to pull him, yes taeil, away

he expected johnny or his manager who is more buff than him to handle it

but after seeing who had grabbed the sas***g’s wrist tightly, which was yerina

from taeil’s eyes, that looked like it hurts seeing red marks on the sas***g’s wrist

she looked like a different person and she had a different aura too

SUMMARY ― It was already awkward when Yerina and Jaehyun had to be in the same car. And to make things more awkward, Yerina and Jaehyun unintentionally heard Doyoung’s conversation with a manager.

“Can’t you come with me?”

“Nope, can’t do. I have to accompany Youngjae.”

“Urgh.. Can’t you ask the other staff to handle it?”

The younger one turned towards Yerina with an amused look, at the same time looking at her hands that were being grabbed by her.

Realising how desperate she sounds, Yerina quickly pulled back while sighing slightly.

“Sorry..” Yerina muttered, then hearing a slight chuckle coming from Yeonji.

She knows that Yerina wanted to somehow avoid accompanying NCT members 1 on 1, but what could Yerina do?

It’s her job after-all.

“You will be fine, eonnie.. Jaehyun is a nice guy..”

There was a scoff coming Yerina as she shakes her head while looking away, at the same time stuffing random stuff on her gym-bag.

“It’s been 3 years, Yeonji. They probably hate me or something. I mean, I’m not surprised if they hate me now.” Yerina stated while sliding her gym-bag onto her shoulder.

It really has been 3 years.

Her first official schedule with NCT is fetching Jaehyun from a photoshoot - her reaction after seeing that she had to get him was, nervous.

Jaehyun nodded, at the same time feeling his heartbeat fasten - as soon as he heard her name.

The members, yes all of the 23 members, were already notified and all of them just acknowledged their managers of the news.

Jaehyun wasn’t sure of the other units reaction but as soon as the news broke out, 127’s group chat was filled with questions and confirmation regarding Yerina.

Most of them were curious questions - like ‘she is back?’, ‘where did she go all this time?’, ‘when is she going to join us?’, ‘are we talking about the same yerina? as in Yerina Isabella?’

The leader and Johnny are nice enough to answer their enthusiastic questions, especially from Jungwoo and Haechan.

Jaehyun on the other hand wasn’t so sure what to feel.

He actually was wondering where she went for the past 3 years?

And because he was really curious, he was determined to find answers from Yerina herself.

Scrolling through his phone for the past few minutes while leaning against the reception wall, Jaehyun didn’t realize a figure was walking towards him - until a pair of black boots was seen as his eyes waver from the focus of his own phone.

Gazing up, Jaehyun’s eyes slightly widened before putting away his phone.

“Y-Yerina? D-did manager hyung informed you about—

“Yes. He texted me. C’mon.” Yerina gestured her head towards the exit, smiling slightly while escorting him.

Jaehyun didn’t get the chance to say ‘hi’ or even ask if she was thirsty, as they walked out of the building.

If Jaehyun could laugh, he would right now.

He wanted to laugh the awkwardness away.

He couldn’t even turn to the side.

All he could see is Yerina’s hands on the steering wheel, head looking ahead as she was the one who is driving.

The atmosphere was awkward, at the same time it was calm.

Did she train the whole day, judging from her gym bag that was placed on her body?

Couldn’t bare the awkward atmosphere, Jaehyun slightly turned towards Yerina.

“But… how could I call you by that nickname when you aren’t the ‘Rina’ I know?” Jaehyun whispered, his eyes didn’t hesitate to look towards Yerina’s side - to see her face looking the same, not showing any emotions other than blinking.

Yerina could only bite the bottom of her lips, sighing softly.

“Sho— Sorry!” Jaehyun flusteredly apologised, not expecting to see Yerina’s slight smile.

“It’s okay. Well.. It’s nice to see you back..” Yerina added with a small smile, eyes trying to maintain with Jaehyun’s but eventually failed.

She looked away.

In Jaehyun’s eyes, Yerina looked somehow nervous.

“..I’ll get going now. If there’s anything, you can either contact me or tell manager oppa and he will get back to me.. If you aren’t comfortable with the first option..” Yerina muttered at the back, before bowing slightly as she was about to walk away.

“Wait!” Jaehyun out of nowhere called out, at the same time grabbing onto Yerina’s arm - causing her to turn towards Jaehyun.

“...Yerina, honestly. Are you okay? I know it’s been 3 years but you don’t have to hide anything from me or the others.” At this rate, Jaehyun’s voice turned serious and his face was frowning slightly.

Yerina could only stare at him, at the same time eyeing towards his hand who was still gripping onto her arm.

“...I.. I’m not exactly okay.. But I’ve been seeing a few psychologists..” Yerina sounded hesitant but she managed to tell the truth, which made Jaehyun frown slightly.

“....Psychologist?” Jaehyun muttered and Yerina could only smile, at the same time slowly letting go of Jaehyun’s grip.

“Yerina, I didn’t know.. I’m sorry..” Jaehyun’s eyes show concern at the same time stepping forward, eyes still onto Yerina.

As Yerina was about to continue, voices were interrupting their conversation - with their own conversation.

“Hyung, what do you mean she is back? So she is going to be our bodyguard officially?”

“Yes, Doyoung.”

“..But why? Why is she back? It’s not like SM needs her right?”

“I don’t know, Doyoung. All I know is they don’t even trust her either.”

“....I don't trust her either..”

Yerina could only turn towards Jaehyun, who looked taken-aback - hearing what they had said.

Before Jaehyun could even utter a word, Yerina had walked away from him, knowing that she might be hurt seeing both of her hands by her sides, turned into fists.

He knows she is hurt, that’s why he felt pissed at whoever was talking inside - Jaehyun knows that those voices belong to Doyoung and a manager.

Jaehyun could only ruffle his own hair in annoyance while letting out a sigh, at the same time pressing the passcode to enter the dorm.

Once he pushed the door, as expected, he was greeted by Doyoung and a manager whom he rarely sees. Jaehyun couldn’t control his expression, as he looked at both of them with an annoyed look.

“..Did something happen?” Noticing Jaehyun’s expression, the manager questioned Jaehyun as the younger one could only shake his head.

Doyoung on the other hand could read Jaehyun easily so the older one followed Jaehyun.

“You’re not okay. What happened?” asked Doyoung worryingly and Jaehyun quickly turned towards Doyoung with a frown.

“Yerina and I heard what you have said, hyung.” Jaehyun answered simply before walking away, leaving Doyoung who looked dumbfounded.

TIMELINE ― May 2021

CHARACTERS ― Ahn Eunhee (The Bloody Roses), Kim Yeonji (The Bloody Roses), Chae Yerina Isabella (The Bloody Roses), Lee Taeyong (NCT)

AUTHOR'S NOTE/WARNINGS ― Slight Angst. Mention of Going To Therapy (both physical and mental). Aftermath of This Post.

SUMMARY ― It took a month for Yerina to recover, not fully but slowly.

“We will start slowly, okay?”

Those were the words of Ahn Eunhee, the founder and the current CEO of TBR Agency as soon as Yerina steps foot inside the new agency building.

Yerina couldn’t remember much of the day where she was being ‘rescued’ by Ji Chaeun and Yoon Hyunji, her friends from MMG Agency, which is her ex-agency.

That was a month ago, and when Eunhee said that they would start slow - the girl really meant it.

Yerina was given different ‘schedules’ every week.

She thought it was a working schedule but as soon as she sees her own time-table, Yerina realised they were full of therapy sessions and counsel.

“What is this, Eunhee? I thought you are sending me to work.”

“Rina, I’m not that heartless like MMG. I can’t just send you off like that. I know what you have gone through. You need a break for yourself, mentally and physically. I know this is a first for you, so I will be guiding you, as well as Chaeun, Yeonji, Nara and Hyunji. Whether you like it or not, we are considered a team, we fight with you and suffer with you.”

Yerina couldn’t argue much anyway, Eunhee is a tough person, remembering how she was like during trainee days in MMG.

For the first week, Yerina attended therapy sessions and her first week wasn’t so good at all - according to the therapist who told Eunhee about her progress.

“She needs a little more time to open up. I don’t want to assume but Yerina might be a victim of emotional abuse.”

When Eunhee confronted her, Yerina didn’t hesitate to tell the truth, agreeing to what the therapist had said. She told Eunhee that she didn’t want to elaborate more on what had happened for the past 3 years.

Yerina didn’t want to re-call what had happened.

“Whatever you and the therapist thinks, yes.. It’s all true. Whatever you assumed, it’s true. All I can say is I had done so much damage, I did wrong and I had destroyed innocent lives. I don’t want to explain more in detail. It traumatized me.”

“You didn’t have a choice, Yerina. It isn’t your fault.”

The 2nd week was the week that Yerina actually enjoyed more that involved her getting physical. She attended MMA classes, not knowing she was being watched by Eunhee and the therapist.

Eunhee didn’t realize how much Yerina had changed.

She didn’t pick up Chaeun and Hyunji’s words - they were shocked to see how Yerina’s skill has upgraded.

Now that Eunhee had seen Yerina’s skills with her own pair of eyes, she didn’t know what to say.

Yerina was more sharp and accurate on her moves.

Eunhee wasn’t surprised if the girl could score 25 targets for each round in shooting.

Noting down on her clipboard, Eunhee turns away from the boxing ring, exiting the gym.

‘I wonder what they had done to her for the past 3 years.’

“Are you sure you wanna tell him first rather than his management?”

“..I want him to know about her condition. I didn’t want to fully tell his management. I don’t trust them but I trust the members of NCT. But I have to tell Taeyong first. He was the first one to call MMG regarding Yerina’s disappearance 3 years ago, remember?”

Eunhee could remember the constant bickering of herself and Yeonji, before making her decision and telling the other TBR executives.

Eunhee had made plans for Yerina in the future - with her being NCT’s bodyguard since Eunhee had signed a contract with SM Entertainment for 3 years.

She didn’t tell Yerina yet about her plans, because she knew Yerina would just accept it.

Also, Eunhee knew Yerina had a history together with NCT, but she didn’t know what had happened when Yerina was scheduled with them - she thinks it would be easy for Yerina.

But Yeonji on the other hand thinks that Yerina will have a hard time, since the girl disappeared without a trace - and the younger one became more tense after Eunhee told her about her next move, which is telling the leader of NCT on Yerina’s arrival.

Eunhee knew Yeonji would act that way since she was friends with the leader of NCT.

Currently sitting in the new meeting room of her agency building - waiting for Taeyong and his manager, Eunhee can’t help but go through Yerina’s profile. Everything was stated truthfully in her profile.

She wondered if Taeyong still remembered Yerina.

Coincidentally, there was a knock on the door of the meeting room, causing Eunhee to close the brown file - to see Taeyong who was bowing towards her in 90 degrees along with his manager following the younger one.

“It’s been a while, Eunhee noona! How are you!?” Taeyong was slightly jumping in excitement towards Eunhee while giving her a side-hug. Eunhee giggled upon seeing his reaction.

“I’m fine, just busy. How about you?”

“Not bad. We’re having a break now!” Taeyong turns towards his manager who was nodding on what Taeyong had said.

“That’s great!.. Sorry for asking you to come here out of nowhere but I have something to ask you and show you specifically.” Eunhee gestured for the both of them to sit down, with Taeyong basically on the side of her and his manager sitting beside him.

In Eunhee’s eyes, Taeyong looked a little nervous, along with his manager as they somehow fell towards a brown file then towards Eunhee’s face that showed seriousness.

They kind of remembered that Eunhee is now officially a part of the law enforcement people, plus she owns a law enforcement agency.

Taeyong even heard from Yeonji that Eunhee is a certified attorney.

Sliding the brown file to Taeyong, he couldn't help but turn towards his manager hesitant before turning towards Eunhee with a worried expression.

This reminded him of a few mafia kdrama shows he had watched.

“..It’s not something illegal. I promised.” Eunhee commented, with a raised brow.

Taeyong trusted her words, so he mindlessly opened the front cover and from that moment, he could feel his body-hair literally raised up. He could even hear his manager’s gasp.

Taeyong’s eyes instantly went towards Eunhee who was already looking at him.

“Do you know her?” Eunhee’s voice went flat compared to previously, indicating she is serious.

She watches Taeyong eyeing onto the corner of the paper, she knew he was eyeing onto Yerina’s profile picture. She could see Taeyong’s eyes glossing.

Nodding towards the file, Taeyong then turned towards Eunhee, his throat visibly bopped down as he was gulping down his nervousness.

“Yes.. I know Yerina. Is she…..?” Taeyong’s voice went softer, asking a question which he didn’t want to ask but he was curious.

Taeyong was hoping she wouldn't say the answer he had deep on his mind.

If she did, Taeyong knew that he would instantly crumble down, right in front of both of them.

“....Dead?.. Not in a thousand years. Don’t worry, she isn’t dead.”

Yerina’s 3rd and 4th week was labelled as ‘shown progress’ on the paper that was given by Eunhee.

She can’t help but feel slightly proud when she received a pat on the shoulder by Eunhee. Maybe because she decided to opened up towards the staff in TBR Agency that she is working with for this month.

In the paper, there were questions that were being asked by the therapist and Yerina’s answers from Week 1 and Week 3 were being shown.

Week 1

Q: “How do you typically handle irritations, aggravations, and frustrations?”

A: “..Throwing stuff on the wall. Finding NROVERO people and killed them, that was a way for me to relieve whatever feelings I felt.”

Q: “On a scale of 0-10, how content are you with your life right now?”

A: “1 million out of 100”

Week 3

Q: “How do you typically handle irritations, aggravations, and frustrations?”

A: “.. Recently, I felt frustrated with myself so I decided to play games for the first time since the agency here has a room where the staff can chill out. If that doesn't work, I try to read since they have a library here but that didn’t work for me. I recently found a hobby which is taking photos. It did help me lessen out my frustrations.”

Q: “On a scale of 0-10, how content are you with your life right now?”

“Probably 3 out of 10.”

There was a slight smile coming from Yerina as she folded the paper.

Though she was slightly happy, she knew she had a long way to go on recovering.

‘...Whta’s going on now that I have attended therapy?’

As she was busy folding the paper, she didn’t realise someone entered the room with a box on her arms. The abrupt sound coming in front of Yerina made her look up, to see one of the members from The Bloody Roses.

It was Kim Yeonji.

“I heard you passed the therapy sessions. I’m happy for you.” Yeonji commented with a smile, while Yerina was taken a-back on how nice she is.

When they were trainees ago in MMG, Yerina remembered the young girl as someone who had foul-mouth.

“...Thanks… You changed a lot, I mean in a nicer way.” Yerina answered, causing Yeonji to look at her with an amused expression.

“...I didn’t expect you to remember but yeah.. Well, years has passed..” Yeonji added awkwardly and Yerina slowly nodded, agreeing to the younger one.

Her focus then changed towards Yeonji arm’s who were resting on the box. “What’s with the box?”

“..These are your belongings you had left, when you.. you know..” Yeonji carefully said, and Yerina immediately stood up - her eyes landing towards the box.

Yerina was suddenly nervous, she actually forgot what she had left.

But she could remember how she was crying when she left all of the items in the box, feeling guilt for whatever she had done at the moment.

She consciously looked up towards Yeonji, who was gesturing to Yerina to open the box - also reassuring her that she would be right there.

Sighing slightly, Yerina slowly opened the box and her expression showed a mixture of tense and softness, since she was clenching on her jaw but her eyes showed softness.

She could see a small brown notebook, few colored papers, polaroids that were scattered messily, a wallet and a box.

Yerina took her time to look carefully, on what is inside the notebook - to reveal schedules of the group she had worked for and messy words of her ‘secret agent’ work. The colored papers were actually personal letters from the members of the group she guarded for - then seeing a phone at the side.

“Thank you for being with us! To more schedules together!”

“Fighting Yerina! Have a great day today! :> ”

“We love you!”

She was frowning when she saw the letters.

To her right now, it was like a bunch of people confessing to her indirectly.

But what made her heart beat faster and her eyes immediately clouded with tears was the polaroid pictures that clearly showed who they were.

In that moment, it was as if a memory flash suddenly jumped onto her sight, causing her eyes to widen twice - making Yeonji become worried for her.

Since Yerina was clutching onto a specific polaroid.

“Yerina…?” Yeonji called out, seeing Yerina sniffing loudly before regaining her composure, as she put down the polaroid, changing her focus towards the phone.

She quickly switched on the phone and surprisingly, it still works - and as soon as the screen shows up, sounds of notification being heard at once and once it had stopped, Yerina decided to randomly press onto a message that was sent by someone named ‘The Johnny Suh’.

“Why did you disappear without telling us, Isabella? Did something happen? Honestly, I missed you. Not just me, others too.” [SEEN, 2 May 2021]

Frowning while sighing, Yerina locked her phone as she put the phone in her back pocket - before looking towards Yeonji who was smiling slightly.

“..What? You don’t need to, Yeonji. I can find—

“It’s not my order, unfortunately. It’s both Ahrin and Eunhee’s.”

Yerina frowned, sighing while looking away after hearing Yeonji’s next instructions, which was Yerina moving into The Bloody Roses shared house.

Yeonji explained that they already have a room for Yerina, everything was already provided and Yerina needs to basically move in.

Yerina had declined thousands of times but she knew Eunhee would find ways to get what she wants, so here she is nodding in front of Yeonji who was chuckling in a teasing tone.

“I know what you think. They are pretty demanding as years pass by.” Yeonji commented with a slight giggling and Yerina could only smile slightly.

“But they have good hearts, all of you.” Yerina turned towards Yeonji, making both of them stop at their tracks.

The way Yerina looked towards Yeonji, the younger one could see that Yerina has a lot on her mind.

Yeonji sighed softly, her body turning slightly towards Yerina. “We heard what had happened, Yerina. You didn’t have a choice. It doesn’t make you a bad person.”

Yerina scoffs slightly, shaking her head as she looks down.

“....Yerina?”

Both of the girls snapped towards the direction of the voice - with Yerina frowning and Yeonji’s face softening, seeing who was calling the other girl and seeing a familiar face standing beside the one who called her.

Everything just happened in a second when Yerina felt a body engulfing her into a tight hug.

Yerina’s body grew tense but when her nose picked up a familiar scent of the person, the box she was holding had dropped with a loud thud and her eyes turned cloudy at the same, her throat already a lump.

There were sniffing sounds coming from him, and Yerina’s hand slowly raised up to clutch onto the back of his shirt.

“.....Taeyong, I’m sorry for leaving.”

And more sounds of sniffles that turned into sobs came from Yerina as she felt him tightening the grip of the hug, with Eunhee and Yeonji watching both of them from the back with sentimentality.

CHARACTERS ― Bang Nara (The Bloody Roses), Bambam (Got7)

AUTHOR'S NOTE/WARNINGS ― Slight Angst. Nara neglects Bambam. Implied sex. Mention of The Bloody Roses. Mention of Yerina missing.

SUMMARY ― Bambam was surprised seeing Nara right in front of his doorstep, after 3 months not meeting each other due to his girlfriend's circumstances.

Chilling on his sofa with Pudding on his chest, Bambam was scrolling on his phone going to Instagram.

While scrolling through the explore page, one of the posts caught his attention.

It was a post of fan-compiled pictures of him and his girlfriend, during the days where both of them were working with his previous company.

Smiling to himself, Bambam noticed something. He was always smiling and pouting on almost all of the pictures.

Usually he would always have a poker-face when fans took his pictures previously.

Bambam can imagine that if it were taken now, him being in a new company, he would be making faces towards the camera with his girlfriend.

His smile suddenly turned into a sad one, after his fingers went to his girlfriends’ instagram profile.

Bambam honestly misses her. It’s been more than a month that they haven't seen each other.

Nara did visit him after she ended her long meeting with MMG, but since then, she didn’t visit him often. But Bambam is still grateful that she decided to often face-time him.

At the same time, he wanted her by his side physically.

“Are you free this week?”

“I’m sorry, Bam. Not this week. I have a meeting with Eunhee today.”

“Oh.. That’s okay then. I love you.”

“I love you too, Bam! I’ll call you after I finish the meeting okay?”

He still remembers his phone call with her last month, which kind of breaks his heart. He didn’t tell her honestly but he realized that Nara kind of neglected him.

Maybe it was just him, Bambam tried his best not to feel sad.

He knew she was busy with work. Ever since the contract between MMG and JYPE ended, the girls have been very busy.

His fingers lead him to his frequent calls, scrolling down to Nara’s name which was labelled ‘Love’ with a heart shape.

He was hesitant to press it, afraid that he would be disappointed if she didn’t answer his call.

This happens a few times and Bambam was obviously sad and disappointed whenever it happens.

He made his decision and when he was about to press onto her contact, the doorbell rang causing him to shriek slightly - which made the cat jump off from his chest.

“God!” Bambam clutch on his chest dramatically, throwing his phone aside while regaining his calm posture back.

Sighing slightly, Bambam went towards the security camera and his eyes went wide for a second. He had to lean forward to see the screen properly, seeing a familiar figure that he had always thought off.

Bambam didn’t hesitate to press the unlock button, rushing towards the door.

His heart started to race in nervousness as he sighed softly.

Twisting the doorknob, there stood the one that he had been waiting for, the one that he wished to see.

Bambam knows her very well by now, and judging from her facial expression, she wasn’t happy at all.

“I’m sorry.”

Both of them sat side-by-side, silence somehow echoed through the living room. Bambam was honestly surprised at how Nara had changed.

He was confused.

“Nara, I—

“I think I should be the one to apologize. I’m sorry for not calling you often. I know I didn’t give you enough attention, like I always do back when we were working together. I just realized it when the other girls somehow had their moments with their partners. I didn’t want to use work as an excuse, but it really is. God, I’m a bad girlfriend. I’m not surprised if you are mad at me. I can take—

By then Nara was already rambling and Bambam out of nowhere jumped onto Nara, causing both of them to fall onto the sofa. He engulfed her into a tight hug.

When Nara apologized, Bambam’s expression completely turned soft.

He has never met a girl who immediately apologized or admitted their wrongdoings.

Yes, Bambam knew she was 3 months late but Nara did apologize to him, face to face. If it was him, he wouldn’t have the nerve too.

He wouldn’t have the face too.

Bambam quietly had her head on top of his chest, him basically cuddling her while stroking the top of her head.

“You could have told me, babe. I prefer to know what’s going on rather than feeling a lot of emotions. I thought your feelings faded for me.”

Nara had a frown on her face, hearing how Bambam sounded, which was hurt. She immediately sat up from him, her face turning towards Bambam who was taken aback by her sudden movement.

What even got him more surprised is how her hands were cupping onto his cheeks, his eyes immediately went wide and his lips literally puck out in flusteredness.

He looked funny but Nara was too emotional to even see his mixed expressions.

“Bam, my feelings would never fade for you. Even if it did, there’s probably something wrong with me.” Nara whispered at the end before continuing.

“Again, I’m really sorry. I knows actions are better than words, I’m trying to—

Nara’s words were cut off with Bambam abruptly pushing her back, his lips crashing onto hers roughly.

Hearing from Bambam’s seductive moan and him somehow pulling onto her shirt, Nara knew where this leads to and knowing she would have to sleep-over his apartment.

Changed into a more comfortable clothing which Nara wore Bambam’s clothes, laughters were filled in the dining table minutes later with different types of food on the table which made Bambam feel twice as happy as usual.

His girlfriend is finally in front of him, indulging onto his favorite food.

He gets double the happiness.

Since Bambam wanted to know what was going on with Nara’s life, she literally told him from the start then to the end, including what she had felt for the past few months - they were mostly happiness and worries.

Now Bambam felt bad for not spamming her, all this while he thought she had it easy after her group had ended contract with JYPE.

“Now I feel really bad. I’m sorry, baby. Now I am the bad boyfriend.” Bambam pouted, although he sounded like he was joking, he really did feel bad.

To sum it up from Nara’s explanation, Eunhee had made her own agency at the same time, making a separate agency building from MMG. Basically for the whole 3 months, the girls had moved all their things from their own office to the new building.

Till now, they were still ‘decorating’ the new agency building and what’s more chaotic is that Ahrin and Eunhee had asked these girls if they wanted to move out of their old shared-house.

Chaotic because they had asked the girls in a last-minute situation where everyone is having their own breaks - except for some of the girls who are helping Eunhee on a specific task.

So far, Ahrin and Eunhee are staying in the new shared house.

Haejin and Yeonji are currently staying in their parents’ house for their break.

Chaeun and Hyunji currently are somewhere in England right now, for their specific mission. Nara too is helping them but she was being told to work from home - which now she is currently staying with her parents’.

“...What is this specific task? It sounded serious since Hyunji had to go too. I mean usually Chaeun noona would always go alone…” Bambam commented, while having a spoonful bite of his Tom Yum Koong.

Nara sighed, putting down her chopsticks. “I don’t know if you know this but Eunhee is adding a member into our team which I am completely fine with and I am happy because the girls know this specific person.”

“Oh! I didn’t know Eunhee noona was planning to add a new member to the team! But if you say you are fine by it, your face says otherwise…?” Bambam tilted his head slightly, leaning forward as he was very curious.

“...The problem is.. We don’t know where she is currently.”

Bambam’s eyes went somehow wide, somehow too into the conversation.

To him, it was as if they were solving a case.

“Well.. where is she now?” Bambam questioned thrillingly, earning a giggle from Nara. Her eyes travelled towards her phone that was on the side.

“....England. I had a tracker on Chaeun and Hyunji, and they found out that Yerina is somewhere in Oxford. It was weird because she turned off her own tracker right after Chaeun called her number.. Yerina was handling a case there..” Nara muttered the last part.

All employees in MMG had a tracker with them, be it when they are having a break or they are on a mission - although in others’ perspective it's kind of dangerous, this was the safest way of finding the specific employees.

Once the tracker has been deactivated, MMG will immediately know since they tracked all of their employees regularly.

“Do you think something might have happened to her? I know Yerina, we trained together and we know her habits. It’s weird for her to turn it off although she is rebellious sometimes but she is smart enough to think.” Nara questioned worryingly toward Bambam.

Bambam knew how the girl was feeling. Out of nowhere, Bambam cupped her hands, his thumb stroking the top of her hand.

“I know you are worried, I would be worried too if one of the hyungs went missing out of nowhere, but I trust Chaeun noona and Hyunji. Come on, we both know how good they are! All of the noonas plus you and Hyunji are aces on finding people! And I’m sure the new member are somewhere, we just don’t know where she is.” Bambam reassured her, him sounding serious this time - his fingers intertwined with Nara’s causing her to feel warm on her cheeks.

Nara forgets that Bambam would always do this when she is worried.

She didn’t know what to say, because she was too lost in his eyes.

“Yah! Stop staring! You’re making me blush!” Bambam immediately noticed this, his hands already touching his cheeks making Nara to giggle.

A satisfying sigh came from Nara as her eyes went back to Bambam. “I don’t deserve you, Bam. You are so precious.”

Bambam’s smile grew wide, leaning forward as he had his hands to support himself to give a peck on Nara’s lips since she was at the opposite.

“Don’t say that, Nara. We have gone through a lot and I’m not going to waste it in a small misunderstanding! You are precious to me too and after today, I’m going to be extra attentive towards you!”

This time, Nara’s smile out of nowhere showed itself - knowing that it was a genuine smile.

“I love you, Bambam.”

Bambam couldn’t describe how happy he is, it’s been awhile that they said ‘I love you’s to each other that Bambam can’t help but to feel extremely shy and blushy.

“I love you too, Nara. Not a pun from Jackson’s hyungs song but, I love you three thousand.” Bambam joked at the end, while wiggling his eyebrows which made Nara to chuckle seeing how silly he is.

Just when Nara was about to stand up, her phone had a notification sound - a different one.

Her lockscreen showed a message.

AUTHOR'S NOTE/WARNINGS ― Angst. Implied of Using Drugs. Violence and Mention of Deaths.

SUMMARY ― Yerina was no longer being held as a hostage after 3 years by her ex-boyfriend.

“Oh god.”

“Yeah. When I heard it from Eunhee, I actually cried.”

Hyunji turned towards Chaeun who was biting on the bottom of her lips, her fist was clenching rather tightly.

Here they are - Chaeun and Hyunji, in Birmingham of England, seated behind a black van with Chaeun on her laptop while Hyunji on her phone, taking a call from Nara who is all the way from Korea.

As soon as Nara received Chaeun’s message, she got a hold of Eunhee and the young one didn’t brace herself for what Eunhee had told her.

Eunhee had told Nara about Yerina’s history .

The young ones and Chaeun still couldn’t grasp all of it.

The new member had a tough history, more tougher than the original 7 members.

“...We don’t have time to be emotional. We will still proceed with the plan.” Chaeun commented, while typing aggressively on her laptop.

“Noted. Good luck and be careful, the two of you.”

“Thanks.” Hyunji muttered before ending the call with a slight sigh, her eyes turning towards Chaeun who was still busy typing on her laptop.

The younger one knew Chaeun was trying to hack into a security camera wherever Yerina was staying at, which was an apartment which looked abandoned.

“Chaeun, is that the actual reason why Yerina left?” Hyunji questioned, her voice sounding soft, making Chaeun look towards the younger one.

“...Maybe. I would leave if someone had killed my own sibling. But I wouldn’t do it like Yerina’s way.” Chaeun softly commented, eyes still gazing towards the laptop screen.

Yerina was considered a member of The Bloody Roses unofficially, since MMG didn’t put her into the line-up.

All of them had trained together, but Yerina had trained the longest since she joined MMG at the same time as Ahrin.

So everyone was confused on MMG’s decision on her not joining The Bloody Roses project.

Chaeun and other 6 members knew about Yerina’s life, on how she was being brought up differently.

Differently because unfortunately, Yerina was trained to be a killer. Not just her, her family as well.

Even Eunhee isn’t sure of Yerina’s early life on how her family became assassins, but Eunhee is sure all of them were trained in another country - not knowing what they were trained for.

But Eunhee got information that Yerina and her family had ‘forcefully’ worked for NROVERO, an organization that had hidden intentions in Russia.

Hence she grew up to become an assassin, not knowing she along with her family was manipulated, until MMG got ahold of Yerina, instead of handing her towards the higher-up.

Basically MMG saw her as someone who could be useful for them.

As she trained with MMG and the agency helping her as well as her family to clear her name, it seems NROVERO had found out where Yerina is, and her siblings.

To sum it up, NROVERO got ahold of Yerina’s oldest brother and she received a call from MMG that they had found her older brother's body when she was in Mexico.

And the rest was history, because all MMG and Eunhee knew that Yerina had assassinated members of NROVERO.

“We have to get Yerina back. She isn’t in a—

Hyunji’s words were cut off with Chaeun basically jolting up, her body leaning against the laptop screen - to see a man walking out of a door who looked suspicious.

“..It’s our cue. C’mon.”

The girls in MMG were taught to never hesitate on ambushing people.

Chaeun remembered the days where they were sent to ambush on people randomly - mainly suspicious organizations and she remembered that multiple gun-shots were heard immediately.

Blood was spilled everywhere as well as bodies on the floor.

Those were the intense days, and it looks like they had to do it again, in 2021.

Hyunji didn’t hesitate to lead the way first by destroying the door, while Chaeun jumped inside. They expected things to happen, but strangely and weirdly, only silence welcomed them.

Chaeun glanced towards Hyunji, continuing their ‘plan’ with the young one basically going to each one of the rooms. Chaeun on the other hand was looking around, her eyes caught onto one of the doors.

There were a total of 4 rooms, and one of them caught her eyes.

She didn’t hesitate to walk towards the door and she too didn’t hesitate to twist the doorknob.

MMG girls knew, Chaeun knew what to expect and as soon as the door was slightly open wide, in just a second she was being tackled on the floor and it was as if her body reacted quickly rather than her brain.

One minute, Chaeun was being tossed aggressively towards the wall, another minute she was being punched on the guts and those punches weren't the regular ones.

And at this moment, guns were pointing towards each other as well as daggered eyes.

“Ji Chaeun, what brings you here?”

Chaeun’s brow frowned deeply, coming from the girl she and Hyunji were rescuing.

She didn’t know what to say because Yerina in her eyes, a few years ago, was different. The Yerina she knew looked healthy, happy in her own way but this Yerina she is seeing right now, it was as if she was a different person.

".....You had the nerves to say that? Where have you been, Isabella?" Chaeun whispered at the same time sounding aggressive.

“...Here and there.. Look, you shouldn’t be here. You don’t know what you got into.” Yerina muttered, at the same time lowering her gun. Chaeun on the other hand was still guarded.

“I don’t care. I want my friend back.”

“...She’s long gone.”

Chaeun tilted her head, her gun slowly lowered - seeing Yerina basically walking around. Chaeun’s eyes fell towards a table that was filled with multiple syringes.

‘What have they done to her?’

“..Don’t worry. They aren’t drugs that we all know. I actually do not know what he had put into me….” Yerina whispered, eyes glancing towards the table which Chaeun had never seen her looking like that.

Eyes that look soulless.

“Who the hell is he?”

“Someone that I trusted and loved before, someone from NROVERO ….. Chaeun, he was the one who was hunting for my other siblings… He killed Seungwon, my eldest brother.” Yerina’s voice sounded so broken that Chaeun gasped slightly.

“...And he decided to keep me captive, also experimented on me in exchange that they won’t touch the ones I had interacted with, love or are friends with… Including NCT…” Yerina muttered at the end and that’s when Chaeun’s face turned soft and guilt,

‘So that is the reason why she left MMG and SM…’

She recalled how it feels like, it slightly triggers her but now was not the time because she knew Yerina is filled with emotions.

Turning towards Chaeun, Yerina’s eyes grew cold.

“..You have to get out of here, you and Hyunji. If the both of you want to live longer.” She warned.

“.....Are you saying you are going to kill us?” Chaeun muttered, she already started to be on guard - seeing Yerina looking hesitant.

Chaeun trusted her, she trusted her so much that Chaeun dropped her gun - going towards the girl who looked expressionless. Chaeun cupped her cheeks.

“Yerina, please. Please return to us. We can work this through. Look at me. I was like you, I lost everyone but MMG made it better, in their own ways. Please, we can work this through, really. I promise.”

At this rate, Chaeun was already begging, and she could see Yerina’s eyes slowly filled with tears although she looked cold. Even her own cheeks filled cold.

Their foreheads touched one another, and soon Chaeun could hear a little sniffle, coming from Yerina.

“I had caused so much damage, Chaeun. I killed people, even the inno—

“We can settle it in MMG, Yerina. All we had to do know is—

Before Chaeun could finish her sentence, the ground out of nowhere shook at the same time there were sounds of explosion next door.

Yerina and Chaeun didn’t even hesitate to leave the room, and Chaeun could already see a few doors being destroyed, leaving the room exposed and there she saw Hyunji on the floor.

As Chaeun was about to run towards her, a sound of gunshot made Chaeun drop down, followed by multiple gunshots being heard behind her.

That’s when Chaeun realised Yerina was shielding her while shooting in the opposite direction of where they were. Crawling towards where Hyunji's body is, Chaeun shook Hyunji roughly and thankfully, the younger one cough as a response.

Chaeun didn’t hesitate to support Hyunji as the younger one stood up with her other hand holding her gun tightly.

The gun-battle is still going on.

“We can’t escape through the front!” Yerina yelled with both of her hands that were holding onto two guns while shooting non-stop.

“Then we will exit through the window!” Chaeun answered, giving a look towards Hyunji. Yerina on the other hand, glanced towards Chaeun with a slight smirk.

Their guns were pointing towards the window, and they didn’t hesitate to jump out of the window from a 7th storey building.

They barely made it because when they jumped out, a huge explosion that caused them to feel glasses on their bodies happened on the building they stepped in.

The 3 of them landed on the floor, with Hyunji being on top of Chaeun and Yerina basically on her knees.

“Chaeun!” Yerina shouted, running towards the older one, seeing her laying on the floor while groaning.

“Relax… I’m fin—

Before Chaeun could finish, she was already in Yerina’s arm, hugging the older one tightly and that was when all the tears of frustration let out, causing Hyunji to hug the girl.

Yerina is finally free, after 3 years of being held captive, thanks to her friends that had still remembered her.

Hugs and Comforts

TIMELINE ― May 2021

CHARACTERS ― Chae Yerina Isabella (The Bloody Roses), Johnny Suh (NCT), Lee Donghyuck/Haechan (NCT)

AUTHOR'S NOTE/WARNINGS ― Slight Angst and Fluff. Crying Haechan.

SUMMARY ― Yerina didn’t expect to get hugs and she didn’t even expect herself to comfort someone.

He didn’t know that the rumors escalated quickly, till it hit the articles and here he is - waiting for Taeyong and Haechan who was talking with the executives.

Johnny was the first one to see the article, and he had to inform Taeyong about this just in case the leader had done ‘vlive’s and he would be confused as hell seeing Haechan’s name and the girl group member’s name.

Both of them had talked with Haechan before-hand and the boy had no idea what’s going on - saying that he didn’t have any contact with the girl, heck they didn’t even say ‘hi’ or anything.

“Seriously, hyung! You have to believe me! I didn’t talk to her! I didn’t even say ‘hi’ or anything! I don’t know how they made this up!!.....I’m screwed...”

“No, you’re not screwed, Donghyuck-ah. Just tell the executives the truth and they will handle it from there.”

While waiting for Taeyong and Haechan, Johnny decided to go on his social media, at the same time avoiding reading the comments of the rumors - which he failed in the end so he decided to scroll through his gallery.

As he scrolled dar, all the way up, he saw a picture of a girl and himself, along with Haechan as they did a 'V’ pose.

Johnny didn't know why he felt this sudden ache on his heart whenever he saw her face.

He knew he shouldn’t feel this way since they were friends but, he can’t help it since she just left without saying anything.

‘It’s been 3 years…’

Exiting his gallery, Johnny found himself going through his messages and once again, he saw her name.

Her name somehow made Johnny smile a little and without even thinking, Johnny had pressed her name and his eyes immediately went wide of what he was seeing.

‘....That was like a few weeks ago..’

Locking his phone, Johnny leaned back, a few thoughts running through his mind before making his next move.

Yerina? [SENT]

Just in time, the sound of the door opening made Johnny quickly put away his phone, seeing Taeyong and Haechan exiting the room.

The first thing Johnny saw is their youngest looking dispirited, his head hanging low.

‘Oh no.. Donghyuck-ah..’

Taeyong was patting Haechan’s back, at the same time whispering words to the younger one and all Haechan could do was nodding his head.

Johnny knew Haechan might shed some tears, since he saw his eyes turned slightly red and puffy - and seeing Taeyong’s expression, which showed concern in his eyes.

Going towards their side, Johnny stays by Haechan’s side, as the younger one clings onto Johnny.

She was upset.

Yerina was upset at what she is hearing right now.

She couldn’t even focus, but all she could think is she just wanted to confront those obsessive fans.

“So, do you want me to find those fans?” Yerina’s voice sounded so serious that all SM executives could only look at her then towards her own manager - wanting to know if she is serious.

“You mean, directly find them?”

“Yeah.” Yerina answered simply, earning mixed reactions from the executives as all of them were looking towards each other.

They suddenly remembered about Yerina’s past job as an ‘agent’.

They were being told by Eunhee, of course the CEO of TBR Agency didn’t tell them the whole story.

It wasn’t the whole truth but it wasn’t a lie that Yerina was an agent, considered.

“Yerina, we are not directly going to face them. That would only be done if they had done something more serious. For now, we just want you to watch Haechan.” One of the executives instructed but Yerina had so much to say, but she was stopped by her own manager.

In the end, Yerina just nodded as the meeting had continued - with SM’s executives kind of run down what had happened.

They even went to social media, mainly twitter, to know how the rumors began.

To Yerina, this is all a joke and this is all the obsessive fans' delusional thoughts.

Yerina quietly looked towards the articles and comments, sighing through her nose.

‘Even if they wanna date, they are surely more clever to handle this.’

By the end of the meeting, SM executives were actually afraid of Yerina - her eyes showed that she could just shoot someone, since she was looking at each of them dead in the eye and the way she dressed was in all black.

And her aura is just way different vibes.

“This concludes the end of the meeting. Please approach us if there is anything.” The executive bowed towards both Yerina and her manager.

Instead of bowing, Yerina just booped her head awkwardly - avoiding their eye contact, at the same time letting her manager just deal with the rest of the talk as she exited the room without looking back.

While waiting for her manager, Yerina’s phone vibrated, indicating she received a message.

Yerina? [SEEN]

'....Johnny?...'

Yerina is aware of who Johnny is, she remembered him exactly.

For the past 3 years, Yerina was being experimented on and she was injected with a different type of serum. Everyday, she suffered tremendously with different memories flashing through her mind.

Different kinds.

One second, she could see flashes of adults and kids crying, another second laughter from different guys flashing on her mind.

She knew it was a positive laughter since she could see herself basically laughing with them.

They were those boys, and Johnny is with them too since they are all in the same group.

And there were random moments when flashes of memory of her shooting down people, seeing pools of red on the floor and on her hands.

Gripping onto her phone tightly, Yerina was typing back and forth on what she was going to say.

She couldn’t just say ‘hi’ or ‘i’m sorry’, she knew well that these boys were affected by her sudden disappearance - according to Taeyong that day when they somehow reunited.

As well as reading the messages that were being sent by different boys from 2 years ago.

“...I can’t just appear in front of them and say ‘hi’.. It will take time for them to accept me..”

“I know.. Maybe for some of them, it would take time but most of them would be happy to see you. I can’t tell you to just tell them the truth because it would be insensitive of me. Whenever you are ready, you can tell them.”

Remembering Taeyong’s words, Yerina decided to send the words she wanted to say to Johnny.

Yeah.. I have a lot of explaining to do. [SEEN]

The Johnny Suh

Yeah, you do. Are you in Korea right now?

I am. I’m actually inside the SM building right now. If you want to meet, I’m down. [SEEN]

“Yerina, they have given you the next schedule.” Her manager appeared, making Yerina put away her phone in her back pocket.

“What did they say back there?” Yerina questioned as her eyes fell towards a few documents that were handed to her, at the same time walking far away from the meeting room.

“They told me to keep an eye on you. It seems they don’t trust you.. Yet.”

“The feelings are mutual. I don’t trust them either.” Yerina muttered with a forced smile, her eyes scanning through the paper - seeing the next location.

“Where is this?” Yerina pointed towards the paper and her manager checked on his phone.

She had seen the address before somewhere, but she couldn’t remember where it was.

“According to them, it’s NCT’s dorm.”

Through-out the car ride, Yerina could only look ahead - thankfully her manager was the one driving.

She was honestly nervous after finding out from her manager that the building where NCT 127 lives, is where the other NCT units live too.

Basically, she could randomly bump into one of them.

“So, I heard you didn’t even make any contact with them.”

Her manager, Hanuel, who had worked for Eunhee for 4 years, who is now Yerina's current manager, was being told by Eunhee about Yerina.

Eunhee didn’t elaborate more about Yerina to him but Hanuel eventually figured it out.

All he could describe about Yerina of what he had found out is that she is considered a senior in terms of her abilities and skills.

He too found out about her tragic past.

He honestly pitied her but he knew she needed people in her life to support her emotionally, she needs people in her life to give her positive support.

Everyone knows she has gone through so much.

“I didn’t want to. I mean, I was basically threatened.” Yerina reasoned out and Haneul could only nod.

“..They won’t hunt you down, Yerina. You got basically full enforcement behind your back to protect you.”

Yerina faced Hanuel, his face was fully to the front as the man was focusing on driving. Yerina could tell he wasn’t afraid at all, actually the whole staff in TBR Agency isn’t afraid of anything.

She wondered why.

“Years ago, when I was trained in MMG, we were trained to not be afraid of anything. Leaving MMG and SM with that mentality, somehow that came crashing down when NROVERO killed my brother.” Yerina muttered at the end, and Haneul could only gulp the lump on his throat as they coincidentally reached their destination.

Turning towards Yerina and analyzing her, Haneul could see clearly she was afraid.

“...You are afraid of losing the people you cherish in your life.” Hanuel whispered, and for the first time, the corner of Yerina’s lips curved upwards slightly.

“Bingo. And from what I know right now, NROVERO is chasing after my 2nd brother.”

That was the last thing Yerina said regarding her life, before exiting the car as they entered the apartment building.

Yerina’s body automatically switched as a ‘cctv’, looking around casually while taking notes of every single thing.

All she could say is that without security, anyone could just dress up as a staff and they could get in.

Yerina followed Haneul behind, as they entered the elevator with him pressing the 5th floor.

In just a minute, they reached the level and strangely, it was quiet when they stepped out of the elevator - their clicking heels were the only ones echoed through the area.

“This must be it.” Haneul stated as he was looking at a document.

As Yerina was looking around, she could already hear a few footsteps coming from the staircase nearby - causing her to be all guarded, her arms already placed at the back.

She had an emergency gun right below the back of her shirt.

But once she caught a glimpse of the owners of the footsteps, her expression somehow softened slightly - seeing a few familiar faces as they showed themselves.

They had a mixed expression as soon as their eyes met Yerina’s, except for one since he had met Yerina before.

The tall one squinted slightly towards Yerina, while the younger one was mindlessly staring towards her.

“..Y-yerina?” Johnny whispered under his breath, and out of nowhere, he was being pushed away with Haechan running towards Yerina for a big tight hug, causing the girl to be taken aback.

At the same time, Yerina’s shoulders feel wet - knowing the boy was crying hearing his sight whispers.

Yerina could only frown slightly while looking towards Johnny and Taeyong who looked concerned for Haechan.

“I don’t work as a bodyguard. I’m.. I’m a former assassin whether you believe it or not that is up to you, but you could ask Taeyong. He had met up with Eunhee and did my profile reading to him.”

“I was trained to kill people a long long time ago, but at some point, I didn’t want to live that life so I escaped along with my family. MMG got a hold of me and with a different background, I was being sent as a bodyguard to guard your group, which is NCT.”

“You had seen how happy I was, how elated I was to work with 18 of you. I already considered all of you as my own family. But something happened and I had to leave because NROVERO…. They were the ones who had trained me and my family unknowingly to become an assassin which in the long run I found out.”

“I couldn’t risk it so I left everything behind and flew to the UK.”

Johnny could only stare at Yerina and Taeyong who were calming down the crying Haechan.

Firsty, he didn’t know Yerina suffered and lastly, he didn’t know Haechan was affected badly with the rumors going on.

Thought it sounded much, but Johnny could handle it.

He is the Johnny Suh and he knew he had to be there for the 3 of them.

Haechan was always being his loud self with the Dreamies, but deep down, Johnny knew Haechan was holding it in for the sake of his members and them having their ‘Hot Sauce' promotions.

He found out from Haechan when Yerina somehow interrogated Haechan in exchange of Yerina telling him and Johnny what had actually happened for the past 3 years.

And here they are, sitting down on a floor, with Haechan basically sitting closely towards Yerina while sobbing out loud, Johnny staring at the both of them and Taeyong trying to hold on onto his own tears.

Hanuel had left earlier as Yerina was being told last minute that Yerina could only enter NCT’s dorm - and him giving Yerina a phone and laptop which had all the information that was given by SM.

“It’s going to be okay, Haechan-ah.” Yerina softly said while rubbing his back in attempt to comfort the younger one.

“She’s right. The executives are probably handling the situation right now.” Taeyong added.

Yerina glanced towards Johnny, giving the man a slight smile and Johnny nodded slightly, acknowledging her presence and words previously.

“..At least, Yerina is back with us… I mean, she would kick haters for you. You should be honored.” Johnny jokes, and Yerina could only glance towards Taeyong, shrugging slightly.

Haechan turned towards Yerina. “Noona, you aren’t going to leave us again right?” Haechan muttered and Yerina looked away, not knowing what to say.

She had plans on finding her family and reuniting them back.

“....There’s always reasons why she had to leave, Donghyuck-ah. If she has to leave again, it must be really important this time.” Johnny answered for Yerina, as he glanced towards her with a small smile that looked sad in her eyes.

Yerina was sure Johnny is going to bring this topic back.

“.. I will stay, for now.” Yerina said quietly, and somehow, Haechan who looked upset was seen to be smiling slightly when Yerina mentioned that she is staying.

A slight squeal was heard from Haechan and he surprisingly hugged Yerina.

Johnny and Taeyong looked towards each other.

“Group hug!”

“W-wait—

The 2 of them somehow hugged the both of them, and that’s when Johnny fully made eye contact with her and saw her face closely.

‘She is smiling but why are her eyes showing otherwise?’

Johnny can’t help but smile a little while ruffling her hair.

“Let’s catch up when you are free.” said Johnny and Yerina could only nod with a smile.

“Me too! Me too!” Taeyong added at the same time Haechan joined in but ended up Haechan and Taeyong were playfully arguing.

As Johnny was about to continue, the front door was being opened and that’s when Yerina grew nervous.

“Hyung! We’re—

There were different voices but soon, their words were trailed off when they saw Yerina.

By this time, Yerina already stood up along with the other 3.

There stood Doyoung and Jaehyun a few steps away from them.

“Yerina?”

AUTHOR’S NOTE/WARNINGS ― A Little Angst. Mention Of Trauma. The girls are trying to find ways for Yerina to stop her nightmares.

SUMMARY ― Yeonji decided to seek help from her boyfriend who could make Yerina’s road to recovery more soothing using his talent.

“Again?”

“Yeah, that’s like the 6th time.”

Ahrin sighed while Eunhee could only fold her arms, looking concerned after what Nara had told them.

For the first time, Yeonji had grown concerned too.

“Have any of you confronted her about this?” Ahrin questioned softly.

Everyone shakes their head as a 'no’ while Nara nodded slowly, the others turned towards her way.

Yeonji asked her. “What did she say?”

“Well…” Nara muttered, recalling the conversation she had with Yerina.

That was the first serious conversation she had with Yerina after she moved in, and Yerina became Nara’s roommate as their rooms were just beside each other.

Nara had never entered Yerina’s room until one night that made Nara barge in, hearing loud whimpers and sobbing.

When Nara found out Yerina had a nightmare and Nara knew what type of nightmares they were, feeling from Yerina’s body temperature as she had touched her forehead and how pale her face was that night.

“Sorry.. I-I.. Sorry for waking you up. I’ll try not to do it again.”

“No, it’s okay…. So.. A nightmare?”

“More like a trauma nightmare..”

From that night, Nara knew that Yerina would somehow face those dreams again - and she was right.

Yerina's nightmares had slowly gone worse after the day Nara kind of talked to her.

“It's a trauma nightmare. We all know it would happen all over again.” Yeonji folded her arms after hearing Nara’s explanation.

“Is there any way to stop or tone down her nightmares?” Ahrin questioned, her voice turned concern - watching the other girls immediately turn towards their own phones, trying to search solutions from the internet.

“There are a lot of ways but the question is.. Will they work for Yerina?” answered Eunhee while her attention turned towards her phone.

“We have to try, even if they fail.” Nara answered quietly.

The girls spent their off-day by helping their roommate to ease down her nightmare.

“I’m on my way!!! I’m dropping by Starbucks! What do you want, it’s on meeeee!”

“Just the usual.. Hold on, baby.”

Yeonji covered her phone, turning towards Yerina who had her focus on her own laptop - just beside Yeonji.

“Hey, Rina. What kind of Starbucks drink do you want?” Yeonji whispered and Yerina turned towards the girl, blinking at her.

“Urm.. No thanks.” Yerina answered simply, turning towards her laptop screen.

Yenji quickly placed her phone on her ears. “Hello???”

“Heyyyy!! What took you so long???...So your final orders are the usual???”

“Make it two please!! Thank you, my love.”

“No problemo, my love toooo! I’m ordering now so see you later!”

“Alright! Drive safely!”

With that, Yeonji ended the call before turning her attention towards her own laptop.

“I don’t think you realize this but… you do know that your voice changes when you talk to your boyfriend right?” Yerina questioned softly, her eyes on her own laptop.

There was a slight silence coming from Yeonji, as she slightly turned towards Yerina.

“.....To be honest, no.. But I do realize when the other girls are talking to their own boyfriends - which is gross, I mean except for Ahrin, Chaeun and Eunhee. They don’t do aegyo in front of others. For Chaeun, it’s Jackson who does aegyo to Chaeun, which is kind of funny.” Yeonji recalled.

Yeonji doesn’t see this but there was a slight smile coming from Yerina as the other girl explained the love life of the other Bloody Roses’ girls.

She is genuinely happy for them, they had found their happiness - for both love and career wise which made Yerina think about when would be her turn to have happiness?

Yerina didn’t realise that she had gone silent as she was staring ahead mindlessly, making Yeonji fully turned towards her.

“Yerina… Hey..” Yeonji called and that’s when Yerina blinked furiously, waking herself up then turning towards Yeonji with a small smile.

“Sorry.. Day-dreamed again..” Yerina awkwardly laughs to cover her embarrassment.

Yeonji’s expression turned soft, seeing Yerina turning her attention back towards her own laptop.

Both of the girls turned their attention towards the door, to hear a few knocking.

As the door opens to reveal the one they had been waiting for, Yerina and Yeonji quickly stood up after seeing Youngjae coming into the meeting room of TBR Agency with Starbucks coffee in his hands.

Yeonji watches Youngjae probing Yerina questions with an expression she had never seen Youngjae make before.

Yeonji remembered the conversation she had with Youngjae through the phone regarding today’s meeting.

“Wait.. So.. you want me to compose an instrumental…. Like a healing song for Yerina noona?”

“..It doesn’t have to be a song. It could be like birds chirping with a mixture of the sound of the sea..”

“...........It’s okay, I think I would make my own instrumental…. You went to the correct person though for this situation.”

“Of course! I know you wanted to be a music doctor!”

“I don’t think the two of you should do this. I’m literally wasting both of your time.” Yerina out of nowhere reasoned out, shaking her head slightly while looking towards Youngjae and Yeonji.

Youngjae could only turn towards Yeonji, who was staring at Yerina.

“It isn’t a waste of time for me. I’m the one who wanted this and I already told Youngjae and he wanted to help.” Yeonji’s voice turned serious with the atmosphere suddenly turned cold.

Yerina could only look away while sighing.

For the first time, she felt bad after hearing Yeonji’s answer.

It was insensitive of Yerina to say that when the two of them wanted to help her. Yerina knew that the girls knew about her constant nightmares happening during the irregular nights.

“I don’t know, Yeonji. I don’t want both of your efforts to be wasted if this doesn’t work.”

“....At least we tried. And who knows it works….? Jaebeom hyung had nightmares when we were trainees but he listens to calm and soft songs and it works.”

Youngjae answered this time, and Yerina could only turn towards him for a second before eyeing towards Yeonji who was nodding to her boyfriend’s words.

With a loud sigh, Yerina nodded - her eyes locking eyes with Yeonji.

“Let’s try then.”

“I’ll send the final cut to Yeonji and Yeonji will..” Youngjae trailed off, with Yeonji nodding towards Yerina who was packing up her stuff.

“I will send the instrumental to you! So you could sleep peacefully tonight!” Yeonji said happily, which made Yerina smile for the first time after the long discussion about the instrumental.

Which consist of Yerina’s preferred music choice and basic favorites of basic weather and different agendas.

Yeonji had learnt so much of Yerina through the questions.

She didn’t know that Yerina preferred cloudy weather.

She didn’t know that Yerina likes to eat steak.

What is more interesting is that Yerina likes to watch Pokemon.

“Thank you for doing this, the both of you. I know I don’t look like what I had said but I really do appreciate this. Just to let you know, I am trying to find ways to stop my nightmares.” Yerina turned towards Yeonji, as she knew Yeonji knew what she was talking about.

Yeonji nodded slowly with a small smile. “We know. The other girls are finding ways too.”

“..So that I won’t disturb all of your precious sleep sooner?” Yerina jokes, which Yeonji could only frown upon.

Seeing her reaction plus Youngjae trying not to laugh, Yerina chuckles while holding onto her laptop.

“Calm down, it’s a joke. Your boyfriend even knows my dark humor… Anyways, I have to go. I have my last therapy session in the boxing ring and thank you again, Youngjae. I’ll see you when you visit here and I’ll see Yeonji at home!! Bye!!” Yerina greeted the both of them, then waved at them - not hearing their words.

Youngjae could only wave at her. “Bye noooonaaa!!!”

“...She always does that.. Which means she is late.” Yeonji muttered and Youngjae turned towards her.

“She is late?????! Did we hold her back?!” Youngjae panicked, looking back towards where Yerina left then to Yeonji - seeing his girlfriend giggling seeing his expression.

“Relax, baby. Eunhee knows about this meeting so I think Eunhee has told the therapist about her being late.” Yeonji answered while clearing up the table that was filled with music sheets.

Youngjae can’t help but stare towards Yeonji’s side profile - seeing how matured and grown his girlfriend had become. It was as if Yeonji was shining in his eyes.

As far as he knows, Yeonji isn’t this worried regarding others aside from Got7 and The Bloody Roses.

This is the first time he had seen how concerned she is for her own member in the team.

“I’m proud of you.” said Youngjae out of nowhere, causing Yeonji to turn towards Youngjae slowly with a raised brow.

“..What did I do? I didn’t do anything.”

Youngjae slowly smiled, his hands slowly cupping onto Yeonji’s cheeks - placing a quick peck on her lips, which made Yeonji taken aback.

“..To me, you did something that takes a lot of thought, but you didn’t hesitate to help Yerina noona. You do know that Yerina noona has trauma right? That is a sensitive topic to cover and to talk about, but you didn’t hesitate to talk it out with her.” Youngjae reasoned out, seeing Yeonji blinking.

Youngjae realised this during the probing session.

Yeonji had asked careful questions to Yerina regarding her past, which the both of them realised she had trauma - even Yerina had confessed she does have trauma, even though Yeonji had been told by Nara.

In Yeonji’s mind, all she wanted was Yerina to be at ease, to feel calm.

She just wanted Yerina to be at ease.

“..I just wanted her to be at ease. I don’t want her to always feel guilty…” Yeonji muttered, her eyes looking elsewhere.

Yeonji didn’t want to explain more, everytime she hears regarding Yerina’s past, she feels sad - she didn’t want to imagine her friend going through so much.

Youngjae saw her expression, and all he could do was give her a big tight hug while caressing her head lovingly.

“I can see Yerina noona is a tough person. She will get through this since she has 7 strong girls with her, slowly and surely. As long as you are there for her, noona can get through this.” Youngjae softly commented, feeling Yeonji tightening the hug as a response.

Youngjae’s words stuck onto her head, and from that day, Yeonji promised herself to be Yerina’s side whenever she needed someone.
