Sorry for spamming your notifs earlier today akdjsjd, hope I didn’t come out as weird!! N Knee Ways, what’s your url from? Cause honestly whenever I see if I think of “Whit’s End” from the radio theatre Adventured in Odyssey, but I’m like 96% sure it ISN’T from that so I’m curious!
Also! I see you’re watching True Beauty! I just started it yesterday and I would love to chat about it!! I agree Seo Jun is DEFINITELY living up to the hype, but tell me your thoughts (which I believe are negative) about Su Ho! Honestly, I’m liking him more than I thought I would, I kinda like him a little bit but I’m willing to be persuaded lol (him patching up Ju Gyeong’s knee was sweet AND him beating up the cheating blind date was nice)
Have you seen any other kdramas that you would recommend? Do you have any specific ones you want to watch soon?
hi! oh no, don't apologize, it's not weird at all. my url is actually spelled "witzend" which is a fictional place from alice in wonderland.
ahdjkfjklgfjl you're watching true beauty too!!
honestly, true beauty really isn't that bad. i thought the whole reason for ju gyeong getting bullied because she was "ugly" (which she most definitely isn't) was sort of dumb?? to me, she just looked pretty ordinary, but i slowly got over that. honestly, she's a great character overall and i just wish her family was more supportive of her (especially her mom like girl. GIRL.). i'm almost finished the series, and i was hoping the show would dive a bit more into korean beauty standards and the things in society that push us to into categorizing people as "beautiful" and "ugly." i'd love for it to touch on makeup culture, social media and the hive-mind that can come from bullying. but alas.
HAN SEOJUN MY BELOVED!! <33 he definitely carries the show, imo. i love how he's portrayed as this intimidating bad boy only for the show to cut to him worrying over his mother in the hospital. we have no choice but to stan. it took a bit more time for me to warm up to su ho, but i like him a lot more now than i did in the earlier episodes. his cold exterior holds a really gentle heart, and honestly this kid has really gone through so much adkkjgefgl like please give this boy a break. i still think that ju gyeong would've been a better match for han seojun. their chemistry is off the charts and honestly the brain cells plummet into the negatives whenever they're together but that's what makes them so endearing. if you ever want to talk about true beauty, my inbox is always open!
i don't watch a lot of kdrama, honestly. but i'm trying to expand my list. idk if you've ever seen age of youth (hello my twenties on netflix), but i highly recommend it. the first season is just *chef's kiss* utter perfection. the second season is...there. it has its good points, but it's not nearly as good as season one. hometown cha cha cha is another good one! very relaxed and light-hearted. i've heard good things about it's okay not to be okay, but i plan on finishing true beauty before looking into that one.
