you have NO idea how much i love that little fucker, he's one of my favorite side characters!!!!!

not to be biased but 2012 tmnt literally had the BEST side/supporting characters, every single one of them is absolutely iconic

but XEVER MY BELOVED

literally the only reason Xever never turned against Shredder is because he feels indebted to him. Shredder didn't kill Xever for stealing from him, so that means Xever will never fight against him.

he and Chris are enemies to friends to lovers

god i'm going to start ranting about the POTENTIAL of having Xever and Chris becoming anti-heroes because it was there!!!! and they hinted at it during Xever's last scene in the show!!!

just Xever and Raph having the perfect "i absolutely hate you but if anyone hurts you i'd probably kill them" friendship because it's so them

i've made a whole post about it before but Xever and Raph purposefully team up together when they're fighting because (1) Raph is very protective and still doesn't trust Xever not to hurt his brothers and (2) it's always a fun fight between the two of them

"Baxter's Gambit" is my favorite 2012 episode for a reason, i wish we had gotten a Xever and Raph solo episode that explored the fact that they both have a mutual respect for each other

Portugese is Xever's first language (obviously), English is his second, and he learned Japanese while training with the Foot after Shredder kidnapped recruited him.

i think after Xever leaves the Foot Clan, he still checks in on the turtles, and he and Raph have little petty fights every so often. partially it's because Xever sees Raph as the only person who can even match his skills, but also bc sue him if he feels slightly responsible over the kid's wellbeing after fighting him for so long

like i don't even know if Xever knew how old the turtles were, and even though he's a criminal, i like to think that he at least has SOME realization of "holy shit these are actual children" at one point while he's fighting the turtles

once fighting for the Shredder went from "okay we're handling things in the area with regular humans no problem" to "oh shit what the fuck this is alien shit hello??" Xever realized that it was probably time to cut ties, he just had to wait for the right moment

Xever after realizing the angsty hothead mutant who he's been fighting is a literal teenager and who he sees a painful amount of himself in: i can't believe i actually have to adopt this turtle as my little brother
