Thinking about how I've only ever liked minigolf and I was trying to work out why when I hate actual golf and.

It's because of the mechanisms, because in the good ones, you hit a ball into a hole and you watch it go through this crazy rube Goldberg machine type thing as it goes back to where they keep the rest of the balls, it has nothing to do with hitting a small ball around, it's the weird sounds and watching it high in the air.
