I’m back

Hey tumblr! I got back from Japan yesterday, the weather here sucks, I’m hungry and I really REALLY don’t want to go back to work again tomorrow QAQ Luckily I did buy some great stuff that’ll chear me up looking at it :) I’m not gonna share much travel stuff here (unless someone asks but hey, who would). My friends are currently in Tokyo, so I’m missing out on all the best stuff but also on a lot of extra spending. Things I’ve noticed: - Yowapeda is less popular now, we blamed new gen... even though it still has a fanbase :) - Haikyuu has gone down too, especially in cosplay, there is still new merch too. - Yuuri!! on ice is also much less hyped now, although there is still new merchandise. Yurio is expensive, most of the rest you can buy for cheap at second hand shops, so don’t bet your money on blind boxes. - Stage play DVDs are very hard to find second hand(in mandarake, lashinbang, book off,..) and so are magazines (seconds hand or new, tbh). Animate has some new stuff ofc but for the magazines, even big book stores might not carry them (or they have so few they’re sold out right after coming out). - Some book off stores have merchandise. You can find stuff here for very cheap. - Surugaya is cheaper than both K-books and Lashinbang. Actually K-books might be the most expensive of the second hand shops. Prices at Mandarake seem a bit more random, but they don’t focus on anime merchandise anyway. - If your character is popular, be prepared to spend more money xD this doesn’t change even for old/unpopular shows. - Getting the itaba you want is a pain in the butt. Try Animate or Tokyu Hands in Ikebukuro but animate often doesn’t have all colours and all types of bags. I haven’t found out where else you can find them.

Yowamushi Pedal Valentine Party time-limited event shop to run from 7-24 Feb at Shibuya Marui. Various merchandise featuring the characters as patisseries preparing desserts will be available at the shop.

Currently ongoing YowaPeda collaboration with the Sega Cafe at Ikebukuro that will end 19 Aug. Merchandise of the characters dressed up as cafe attendants and themed food is available at the cafe, which is reservation only.

YowaPeda Glory Line to collaborate with Cafe Honpo from 3-30 May. Merchandise featuring the Souhoku and Hakogaku teams, plus Midousuji will be available, as well as themed food and drinks. An acrylic stand of Teshima as the shop manager will also be available.
