While I sometimes pick 3t2 traits for my sims when they age up, this time around I let a randomizer choose for Yue. She got hopeless romantic, which is so on brand. She's so pretty! I was already obsessed with her before, but honestly now I'm even more so!

"Oh hey! You must be one of the new sims in the 'hood!" Yue greeted Ronnie. "I'm Yue. Do you wanna play on the monkey bars? I'll race you!"

Ronnie shook her head. "I don't know. I was thinking of watching the chess game over there," she pointed toward the group of adults all huddled around the chess table.

"Oh," Yue wrinkled her nose. She liked games and all, but not chess! "You can go ahead. I'll just play here by myself."

"So I rolled a want this morning... You might not like the idea... but I was hoping you might consider it," Daisy began with a hopeful smile. "I'd like to have another baby. The Watcher even locked it so... what do you think?"

Travis didn't have the want, but he was still a secondary family sim. He definitely wouldn't mind having a fourth kid... "I want you to be happy," he told her. "And you do want to marry off 6 children for your LTW..."

They tried for baby that very evening, with a struggling business and less than 70 simoleons in their household funds.

While her mother was digging around in the dirt, Yue was getting acquainted with a stray cat that happened to walk by.

I cannot remember what their gender or name is.

Also, why are the pet animations for cats and dogs so much better in Sims 2? Watching Yue play with the kitty was so fun! Sims 4 could never!

Look who Yue brought home with her from school! She really wanted Aiden to be there to celebrate her birthday!

I don't know how much chemistry they'll have with each other as teens or if they'll even have matching sexual orientations, but I'm hopeful they'll at least be able to maintain their friendship.

They're just way too cute!

Look who walked by the lot and decided to stop by for a chat!

"Hey Yue, how are you today?" Avery asked politely to the young teenager.

"Oh hi!" Yue grinned. "I'm really good, thanks! It's so nice to be old enough to walk around the 'hood. I'm really excited to see all the lots!"

"You should check out my flower shop one of these days," Avery suggested. "I don't know if you're into that sort of thing, but I have a ton of nice stuff to decorate your house with."

"Thanks for the suggestion! I definitely will!" Yue smiled.

They aren't exactly the wants I'd expect a pleasure sim to roll right after aging up into a teen, but Yue really felt like doing her homework and improving her grades! She wanted to kick off high school on the right foot!

She was in a fairly decent mood too, only a little tired despite the time of night, so she was able to finish all of her homework before the end of the rotation.

I'm sure one of these days the family will be able to sit down together and eat a meal... but today was not that day.

The two teens hung out together for a while, chatting about what it was like to be a bit more grown up.

"You know, this isn't bad, but it was a lot more fun when we were kids," Aiden pointed out.

"Yeah, it hits different when you're tall enough to actually touch the sand," Yue agreed. "Hey! I'm sure sliding will still be fun! You wanna try?" she added.

"Actually..." Aiden hesitated, not wanting to sound lame. "I think I'm gonna go play some chess. You wanna come?" he wondered.

"Oh, uh... nah, I'll just stay here for a bit, but you go ahead!" Yue grinned at him.

Aiden and Yue didn't seem to have the same interests anymore... It was a little disappointing.

"Hey! So what are we gonna do?" Yue greeted him.

"I just wanna pick a few berries for my dad's market, then we can go chill on the playground, maybe?" Aiden suggested, remembering how much fun that used to be when they were kids.

"Yeah! Sounds fun! I'll meet you over there!" Yue grinned.

Of course Yue came over to visit and wish her best friend a happy birthday!

"Welcome to the teen club!" she said as she wrapped her arms around him. "Happy birthday!"

"Thanks, at least someone remembered," Aiden grumbled. "My mom's pregnant again. My dad's busy with his job. I feel like I'm kind of left to just... do my own thing," he admitted.

"Well, not on my watch!" Yue grinned. "Tomorrow after school we should head to the park and hang out... or maybe check out Rosa's. You think he'd let us in?"

"I don't know, bars aren't really... my thing," Aiden shrugged. "But I'd like to go to the park with you! That sounds really fun!"

With what little remained of the groceries in the fridge, Daisy was able to make a nice birthday dinner for Yue, as well as the rest of the family.

They didn't all get to eat together, but it's the thought that counts!

"Congrats on the birthday sweetie! You look so grown up with that new hairstyle!" Daisy said excitedly when her daughter came back from the bathroom.

"Thanks mom," Yue smiled, looking a little embarrassed.

"Don't worry, the Watcher is gonna default replace those jeans for you. You won't have to be in them much longer," Daisy added.

Having had the same hair since she was a toddler, Yue decided a change was in order.

She wasn't a little girl anymore and she wanted other sims to take her seriously.

Yue boarded the school bus for the last time as a child. She couldn't wait to become a teenager tonight and finally start high school!
