1st grade student: -My sister says you married a girl. Is that true? Me: -ummm...I married a woman actually, yeah...she is actually a woman. 

...awkward silence followed by some giggling 

-Me: Ok, so let's see, what colors do we already know in Spanish? -whole class at the same time fighting to be heard: -what's her name? -when did you get married? -does she speak Spanish? -is she the same height as you? -do we know her?
