Oh how this started out not that bad and steadily began to decline as each episode progress. By the time in reached the last couple and episodes it became a what in the forking hell and I watching but you still watch with your friendly trusty remote in your hands. Seriously though, the storyline started out cliche, predictable, but enough to ignore the cheesiness that it glaringly had. By midway I don’t know if the writers just decided to throw in the towel and dial up all the cliches and overdramatize everything by 100. I guess the first clue was how the main male lead was written. Good looking, (well it’s Luo Zheng so 🔥) smart, talented, excellent cook, can go all John Wick on someone, basically can do anything, and smolders a lot. Second clue was the slow motions, oh my forking hell, I can’t tell you how many times there were slow motion scenes. Overall this had many cringe inducing scenes yes, I still fully watch it mainly due to both main leads. I’m a fan of Luo Zheng so that help and Lin Xin Yi had excellent chemistry with him. The secondary couple also was a fun storyline to watch.
