 Warlord-Class Battle Titan Cadavaris Perdita, Legio Mortis

Attached to the Censure Host, Razing of Prospero

Cadavaris Perdita was the command engine of the Legio Mortis detachment attached to the Censure Host at Prospero. A venerable warrior of the Great Crusade, it had fought for years under the command of Princeps Senioris Maldis Drane alongside the Sons of Horus Legion and the Warmaster Horus himself. Drane’s favor in the eyes of the Warmaster was evident in his Titan’s heraldry, which displayed the Eye of Horus prominently alongside the Skull and Portcullis motif of the Legio Mortis. This favor is no doubt the reason Drane’s command was attached to the Censure Host under the Warmaster’s own authority. 

The Razing of Prospero was to be Drane’s last battle, however. During the assault on the Zhao-Arkhad sub-forge, Cadavaris Perdita was decapitated by the Legio Xestobiax Reaver Sleepless Watcher. In their arrogance, Drane and the Legio Mortis heavily underestimated forces of Legio Xestobiax and suffered greatly for it. Drane represented the most senior figure of the Legio to be lost during that engagement. After the battle Cadavaris Perdita was recovered and re-commissioned by Legio Mortis, but it never quite escaped the shame of its ignominious death at Prospero and became somewhat of a pariah among the Death’s Heads.
