I’ve just turned 19. Funny enough, I’ve recently become a sucker for pink (this was the case last when I was 5 years old).

Uni-propus pastel highlighters

Tagore! What's with you and these stationery reviews? Soz, I just can't help it 😊.
Let's get into it,then.
These uni-propus pastel highlighters are very rarely featured in the studyblr world, although I personally feel they deserve a lot more recognition.
Here's why :
1. They have fabulous pigmentation for a pastel highlighter, i.e they show up on paper.
2. Their color range. Most of them don’t have that whitish tinge that most pastel highlighters have (EXCEPT for the yellow one. It’s a chalky yellow).
3. They have a little window in the nib. Remember the times when you would have to pause while highlighting only to see that you haven’t highlighted more than the actual term/sentence? Well, with these bad boys( or girls😉) you can highlight with ease.
Couple of cons (cuz nothing in this world is perfect)
1. Price. INR 600 for 5 highlighters only?! With that kind of money we could have got 6 packs of highlighters here in India🤣.
2. See point 2 above.
3. These markers are double ended, however the marker end of the highlighters doesn’t have much practical use. The pastel color is way too light to write with. Perhaps, one could use the marker end for underlining? Then, again the huge cost is also partly justified by these highlighters being dual end, so if you can’t use the marker end...….
Woo! I hoped y’all enjoyed this one (and even made sense of what I said).

Mildliners vs Milkliners
Bruh!
Why you still on the topic of Mildliners. We are so over them. Every single studyblr related post(including mine😊) or video seems to feature them. Well, I’ll tell you why.....
Money.
Yes, money. These highlighters are insanely expensive (as expensive as indulging in Belgian chocolate ice-cream with chocolate chip toppings, served in a chocolate and almond coated waffle bowl).
Ahhem! Back to stationary, please.
As I was saying these highlighters, although they come in pretty and unique colors, are not very economical should one have to use them for subjects that require a sh*t load of highlighting.
The alternative?
Friends, I present to you the Milkliners.
Pros:
1. Cheaper than Mildliners ( INR 300 for a set of 12 Milkliners vs INR 600 for a set of only 4 Mildliners)
2. A little less opaque, so you don’t run the risk of your words being drowned in the Mildliner color intensity.
Cons:
1. Some can arque the point about Mildliners having a greater color intensity, hence your notes look more aesthetically pleasing. They are more of markers than they are highlighters.
2. Packaging. Both share the similar white body but the Mildliner’s body feels more.... luxurious?
Breathtaking, beautiful, beguiling swatches coming up!

*Top one mildliner. Bottom milkliner.
Now, don’t get me wrong. Expensive doesn’t mean one steers away from purchasing them in the first place. It means - save them for your bujo or whatever fancy-ass arty work you’re into, and use the milkiners for your heavy duty highlighting school work( cuz you can’t comprimise on highlighting simply because you wanted to preserve your beloved mildliners 🤣).
Done! I hope you guys found this post informative(or just plain amusing), will catch up you guys soon.

What’s in my home pencil case - part 2
Hey tagore! How many pencil cases you got?! Hehe! One cannot have too many. This pencil case has the essentials basically (although this definition varies from person to person😜).

1. Magneta Staedtler Fineliner
2. Grey- blue Staedtler Fineliner
3. Coral erasable Pilot pen. (These erase for real)
4. Purple erasable Pilot pen. ( Uff! should have gone for the turquoise one instead)

These are the pens I use for planning. If the plans don’t look aesthetically pleasing, I am just less likely to follow them. Warning! Don’t follow this stupid logic.
5, Purple foldable Maped ruler ( A waste of money, if one intends to use them for A Level Practicals. Yo! your tiny crosses will go unseen on graph paper)
6. 0.7 blue Pilot pen- For those of you who literally stab the paper when writing with a pen, this is one for you guys. Goodbye to worrying about breaking the fine 0.5 nib as we have us here a sturdy and strong 0.7 nib (what a girl looks for in a man, ain’t I right 😘)
7. Zebra Color Flight mechanical pencil 0.5. Yes, it is 0.5. But, my fellow 0.7 lead lovers, this is one of the most light weight -yet not too light that it is weird to write with in the first place- pencil. Perfect for underlining.

8. Pentel Graph 600 0.7 mechanical pencil. Uh, so an average high school student doesn’t really have much requirement for this heavy duty, high performance, sexy and sleek looking pencil, originally mean for architects and actual artists. However, this is an absolute gem ( and an investment) - you won’t be left disappointed.
9. 0.5 and 0.7 Pentel lead- the best lead on the market, haven’t used anything else since class 1. Although, costly these leads last a lifetime - I hope english teacher appreciated this alliteration going on here.
+ kinda vintage packaged Staedtler 0.5 lead.

* The showstoppers
10. For the peeps living in India - Blue Linc ocean gel pens that glide like butter and are pretty cheap; Nataraj Fluid X ball pen (pretty competitive with the blue Linc pentonic pens that are like everywhere).
11. Mini flourescent yellow Stabilo highlighter ( I have begun to realize the immense utility values of ordinary basic stationary items like this as I prepare for one of most competitive exams 🤣).

12. Vaseline lip therapy Rosy lips. Very moisturizing. My lips look actually rosy ( It’s not because I am going li’l crazy with this lockdown). A cautionary note: my lips aren’t very naturally pigmented, so results may vary person to person...
13. Again, all desi unite! A dark purple and green Luxor fineliner that I seem to keep reaching for out of the entire pack of 12 pens. Bruh! why don’t I just get specific color pens and not an entire pack.
14. A whale shaped pink and white Maped eraser( came with a blue and white one too). Erases mistakes like a champion. Get this now to cut down your stress with making a zillion mistakes in math.

Few! We have reached the end. Hope y’all liked this one. Let me know in comments which item I should provide a more detailed review.

What’s in my HOME pencil case- part 1

* Worn out from the days I used to take it to school.
Yup! You read it right. HOME pencil cases. You see I am a pretty chill person in general, If things go lost, I eventually ( like the end of the year sometimes) find them. But. But, what drives me insane is when my beloved stationary gets lost. Replacing a Rs.2K mechanical pencil is no joke. The solution? I keep my pretty stationary at home (where hopefully little brother doesn’t get his evil hands on them while I am away in school), and only take basic stuff to school.
Enough of this rant. Let’s dig into this case.

1. Left hand pocket: Milkliners ( just becuz they’re not mildliners dosen’t mean they’re worse, in fact in many ways they are better )
*I’ll share a detailed comparison between the 2 brands, sometime later.
2. Right hand pocket: Wait for it.....The mildliners. The warm ones (your gurl feels cold when it like 12 degrees celsius outside). Sharing the stage with it are the pastel Uni- propus highlighters cuz the pastel stabilo ones took ages to reach Amazon India. Note: Uni-propus pastels are no pushovers. More on that too later.

3. Storage: Pens galore. Zebra milk pens(to coordinate with the uni-propus highlighters like the stationary freak that some of us are), Pilot pop’lol pens in- red, blue-black, green, and grey-black as well as more fancy-ass colors: ochre brown, fuchsia pink, neonish purple, turquoise, and a violet Uniball signo.
All in pretty colors and having a 0.7 nib. That’s what I call a winner

Hope you guys didn’t find this post to long winded 🤞. Stationery are not just a set of tools, it is the experience.

Lockdown internally
So, you guys....
As you know (or are one of them) some of us are heading to college this year. Now with the prolonged lockdown, most of have had abundant opportunity to introspect.... in fact WAY TOO MUCH. Self doubt seems to be consuming us at this point ( eh! see how poetic I have become:) ). But,but, but I am trying to tell myself and the rest of you all that it is going to be OK. NOTHING. Seriously, NOTHING can go EXACTLY how you want it to go. That the point and fun of life.....
