The opening of episode 1 was an area I expended a good amount of effort providing keys, draw-overs, and direct model reference for. Nailing down Dracula’s expressions is still one of the highlights of working on season 1 for me!

Watercolor painting vs the digital sketch!

I prefer traditional media over digital tbh. But it helps to paint in color blocks to figure out the composition, then I use an app called DaVinci eye to transfer it onto paper.
