Finally posting this, I have been working a lot and have been sick at the same time so I have not taken the time to post, but better late than never! I had a SUPER FUN shoot with @hellenavratil last Sunday. I mean, it involved glitter so it was bound to be a sucess. I don't really post pictures of myself without makeup, and it's not because I feel uncomfortable without makeup, I guess it's just not that exciting for you or me if I look the same in every picture. I mostly use my instagram to share my makeup pictures, so I guess that makes sense. But even though I feel more complete with my creative style and makeup, I can be happy and comfortable without it too and I find it very important to make sure that I always feel this way. I don't want to feel like I HAVE TO wear makeup, I want it to be fun and a way to express myself💜 #nomakep

I'm not sure if I've really mentioned this before, but I don't really edit my photos much. The only thing I use is the options available on instgram to get more saturation/contrast to make it as similar to what I see in the mirror as I cab. Which means, I do not edit my liner/lines, blending, or remove my wrinkles etc. And it's important for me to show that, mostly, what you see is what you get and to clearly see my progress over time, and I Iove when I am able to see the progress of other artits too! But the thing is, I have this bad habit of comparing myself to others. And there's so many talented artist! And from what I understand, most artist edit their work to some degree, which is totally fine! But I'm having trouble trusting the work I see cause I don't know how much has actually been done. Cause in some cases I have seen makeup that has been altered and perfected so much that it's nothing like what the artist is actually able to produce. So now, when I see something amazing, I always wonder, am I comparing myself to something that's actually unachiveable? Or am I just not that good yet? Today, together with 3 other wonderful makeup artist that are enrolled at @makeup_mastered, I got to talk to my nr 1. makeup idol @thealexbox. Thank you so much @masteredhq for arranging this and thank you so SO much Alex for taking the time! ❤ It was a wonderful interaction and the things you said were things I think we all needed to hear. I was so moved and it was so refreshing and a relief to hear the things you had to say! I feel a lot more relaxed and at same time empowered and energized after this meeting. I've been so intimidated by the fashion/makeup industry that it has taken me a while to work up the courage to apply for something like @makeup_mastered. This is a huge step for me, and now after this conversation I'm more confident than ever that I have made the right choice and I feel ready to face this year head on and have fun with it and learn as much as I can!
