There were few things Takeda appreciated more about free time than just being able to lay around-- and that was made even better by both movies (even bad ones), and having someone to lay around with. So, of course, he was perfectly content even as the disaster of a disaster movie was playing. Takeda actually kind of thought it was funny, but he wasn’t super invested. 

His concentration on the movie laxed even more as he felt fingers run through his hair, and he found himself almost agreeing with the latter part of Jin’s statement.

Regrettably, almost, he sat up and reached for the remote to pause the movie, and got up to return the Sharknado to its case. “What are you thinking?” he asked, and almost snickered at the irony of the question-- he wouldn’t be using his telepathy to figure out what movie Jin wanted to watch, after all.

Takeda was the last to join the Special Forces

Kung Jin had a crush on Kenshi for awhile

Then found out that He’s Takeda’s dad

Jacqui was the one who had the idea to create the team

Yeah Cassie doesn’t do well around people she finds attractive

They all have an inside joke where they just randomly yeah “DOG PILE” and jump on the biggest person in the room

Kuai was though, he actually couldn’t help but laugh because he isn’t use to silly antics like that

Kuai-Liang is basically the honorary group dad

Cassie and Jacqui have been friends since they where kids and caused so much havoc

They’ve glitter-bombed every single teacher they’ve ever had

Johnny and Jaxs found it really funny, Sonya almost killed them every time

They all went to a Panic! At the Disco concert together and nobody can change my mind

They all share shirts, mostly band tees

They bicker like siblings and push each others buttons

Kung Jin is the squish bean of the group

Need a hug? Go to Kung Jin, he doesn’t question, just squish

Takeda is the best to talk to about emotions to, mostly because of you can put it into words, he’ll just read your mind to tell how you feel, with permission of course

Jacqui will beat anyone up for any one she cares for, and I mean anyone, (Once she challenge Sonya to a fist fight because she really upset Cassie) (she did win too)

Cassie can and will take your mind off things and is the best at having a good time, amusement park? Already has 5 tickets to the best one around. Movies? Has tickest to the newest movie you have been wanting to see. Hungry? Already has all the ingredients to your favorite food and three different recipes pulled up.

They will all have your back if shit goes down

They are really just family and welcome anyone into that family (as long as, ya know, you aren’t a horrible person)

“Yeah I am.” The corners of Jin’s mouth twitched into a small smile. Takeda’s pride at solving their little dilemma was infectious and he was not about to fight it.

If something happens during this, someone’s going to get their arse whooped. 

Elder gods know that the fates are probably already looking up with an arched eyebrow, rubbing their hands together and cackling with the thought of fucking this up for him. Raiden was one of the few he had felt comfortable around, but if he showed up now of all times, there’s a damn good chance that he would tell him to fuck off. Just one damn day where he could have some personal time, please.

Though as their footsteps echoed softly down the hallway of the Special Forces base, Jin’s usually furrowed brows unknit, even if just barely: a side he rarely showed around others.

The silence between them lasted only a few seconds, though even that was enough to feel a little… strained -

“Think we should get something for Jacqui and Cass as well when they come home? Would probably be cold then but ya get what I mean.”

It didn’t take them too long to get back to where Takeda needed to check the drone back in. He opened the door, pausing to lean on it for a moment after Jin’s question.

“I think we should. If we get to avoid what they’re serving here I think they should too-- besides, if we don’t and they find out, we might get an earful about it.” With a chuckle, Takeda made quick work of returning the drone, and returned to the hallway, breathing a sigh of relief, as if he’d been holding his breath.

“I think I’m in the clear. Thanks again for finding that piece-- I’d be in deep trouble without it, haha...”

There wasn’t much the woman could do until she learned the full extent of things, symptoms and such- yet, she felt as this was going to take sometime in itself, not only for the answers, but to create an elixir for the other. 

“It could possibly be a mix of the two, if this is something that occurs while using your abilities it’s going to be harder to distinguish it from a common concussion” the alchemist replied, a long sigh to follow whilst  Alvä took this moment to think, to come up with a solution so Takeda didn’t have to continue to suffer through this. 

“Is there anything else you can tell me about how you are currently feeling? What had exactly happened? If i’, to properly help you, I need a clearer picture of what may of caused this”  Alvä soon added, deep iris’s locked upon the distorted man, a gentle hand to fall upon his shoulder. 

Takeda took in a deep breath and thought back to the encounter with some shady faction that had led him to his painful point. It was pretty fuzzy and it all happened so fast in the moment anyway, it was blurry to begin with. But, there were some things he was almost sure of.

“I don’t remember too much, but one of the guys had pretty good hold of me here,” he motioned with his hands to his neck, visibly grimacing at the thought even through the pained expression that was already on his face. “He slammed me hard against a wall and... I don’t know if it was really on purpose, or just a reaction, but I let my walls down and gave him a psychic overload, and he dropped me immediately. After that it’s pretty fuzzy, but I remember Jacqui helping me walk away from the whole thing. I think she was talking to me the whole time, but I mostly just remember my ears ringing. And here I am.”

He opened his eyes, getting a little dizzy just thinking about that trek back to safety. “So I think... it’s both.”

just thinking about stuff takeda wears (aside from his, like, gear and battle getup ofc)...

of course, he still has a Massive collection of headbands. Just...all sorts. He's probably got like 5 different SR headbands alone lol. Also probably some goggles, and whatever the hell he's got going on in that concept art (below) (side note...he looks so damn cute in that art I'm almost sad that's not an actual look for him...unsure of those side pieces are part of the headband or hair but I'm choosing to believe it's hair lol. Sigh...love that for him). But, he's also got any other headband you can probably think of. He'll always accept headbands as a gift and make a point to wear them at some point especially.

Also, he almost always will have a scarf or neck thingy of some kind, whether it's just a circle thingy like in canon game, a legit brrr-cold warm scarf, or a bandana thingy tied around his neck. How cute...

I feel like with these two things he also just wears like T-shirts/tank tops/hoodies/etc but still manages to look like he's put together lol but he probably doesn't have much sense of fashion and he likes to be comfy. However... I think he would try wearing anything once lol

"How about the diner then? I can always go for a milkshake too..." Hm... Just thinking about a burger, fries, and a shake has him excited already--though when talking food, it didn't really take much.

It's not long before Takeda has the drone all back together, looking more or less like it did when he checked it out earlier that day. He holds it up with a grin so Jin can see his handiwork. It's now again that he notices...something akin to the beginnings of anxiety of some sort barely trickling from Jin's vibes. He's got half a mind to ask what's up, but he knows his friend isn't really the "let's talk about emotions" type, and he doesn't want to make their impending dinner uncomfortable for him.

"Ta-da..!"

He stands up now, quickly gathering his wallet and phone as well as the credential card needed to return the drone.

Noting Jin taking his dagger, Takeda pockets the bases of his plasma sabers. Ideally they wouldn't need them (please, elder gods, let them just eat in peace like somewhat normal twenty-somethings).

"Ready? I just gotta check this back in and we can go."

“Honestly,” Takeda echoed. though as little interest as Takeda really had in Johnny’s movies (beyond supporting a friend), it wasn’t the worst thing they could’ve been subjected to by far. Still, it seemed to him that, mostly, they both were looking for a change-up from another dinner in the mess hall. It’d be loud and obnoxious, and of course… the pizza.

Takeda was just not really in the mood, after fretting about all this, and he was picking up on some kind of… apprehension? from Jin.

Besides, he owed Jin a meal, and this was a good a time as any to pay up.

Once they made their way back to their room, Takeda made quick work of sitting at his desk and tearing down the drone again so he could quickly replace the part.

“Hm, I dunno. There’s a good pizza place not too far… There’s a diner, a steakhouse, some takeout places. I know there are more, but I haven’t ventured too far out yet since we’ve been here. Maybe there’s something else? Whatever sounds good to you– remember, I owe you.”

“Day’s been too fucking long for me, I’m in the mood for some unhealthy ass grease that’s actually good.”

Jin glances at his bow and quiver. Take it or no? Probably not. Hopefully none of those cunts from the Netherrealm would dare to show up when he was on break. Though just to be careful, he picked up the small dagger that he often carried, sliding it into his belt.

The dark thoughts from earlier had faded to some white noise at the back of his mind - wait, fuck, isn’t Takeda a telepath like his dad?

Alright Jin, calm down, sort your shit out, don’t panic now.

Takeda shrugged, his eyes shut as his hand goes to his aching head. It was a bit difficult to focus, so it took him a few seconds to form his answer.

"Nauseous, tired, dizzy, yeah," he replied, his voice strained. Migraines were common for him, but if this was a migraine, it was a doozy. "But, that happens when I overuse my telepathy too. Which, I probably did do..." His memory was fuzzy, but he did know one thing. "But I did hit my head. I got slammed pretty hard."

He hoped that he was making sense, and that anything he said might be helpful. Putting together his sentences was proving to be a challenge -- between actually remembering what happened, the pain in his head, and the struggle to keep his mental walls up, he was having to work extra hard to do so.
