People in Japan have Shinnenkai with friends and colleagues every weekend (or some people do everyday) throughout January after the New Year's holidays. I’m so pleased I could make this mural for an amazing community in Kits. I really appreciate all gentle words, supports and warm welcoming vibes from neighbors, gardeners and passersby throughout the progress. Hope everyone is enjoying the wall and hope my piece can make this beautiful community space even more fun and brighter. Huge thanks to @thirdspaceproperties for having me paint the wall in such a nice place and @vanmuralfest for organizing this wonderful project! I’m really honoured I could work with this super cool team! “Homies” Taking inspiration from a community garden and neighborhood vibes around the wall where urban feeling and organic feeling meet.
As dogs are humans’ best friend, dog images on the wall represents Vancouver’s life style that “nature” and “urban” stay together.
